Glamping at its finest: Outdoor cinema edition

- We religiously allocate a day each month for date night, and this time we did it a little differently. We had already organised to go camping by ourselves with the doggos, but little did I know Tim had a surprise up his sleeve for date night.
I was given a few clues to try and put together what he had in mind:
• extension lead
• sheet
• chainsaw
• screws
As the day progressed I became more aware of what was going on... We were setting up our own outdoor cinema in the middle of nowhere.
GLAMPING AT ITS FINEST!!
This is definitely not how we camp all the time, but it was such a nice treat to sit back, crank the stereo and not worry about any neighbouring campers or people while enjoying a few movies once the sun went down.
You don't have to break the budget to make this happen. The projector was about $120 of Ebay, it connects to a phone via a HDMI cable, and comes with built in speakers (which are pretty terrible). We connected our phone up to a bluetooth speaker and had it cranked up as loud as possible, which was perfect. We found old deadwood and shaped it into a frame to screw in the $5 king sheet from an op shop. The projector has become a bit of an investment for us, we use the same setup in our backyard (with the sheet screwed to the shed) for footy games or watching the big screen on a Friday night.
We hope you guys enjoy the simple setup, we absolutely loved it, and so did the dogs!

Loving the setup! Never thought about taking fairy lights, definitely sourcing some of them for our camp kit!
One question, what rims are you running on the rig? They look good!
Fairy lights just make it! They're such a subtle touch and don't blind you of the night 😂
