Safe to say this was a painful exercise. Tim has been working on rewiring the entire LS3 vehicle front to back, including the engine harness. To tidy up the bay, this included having to rewire from scratch to feed all wiring through to the ECU mounted in the cab. Hi, just a simple request please…I have searched in vain to find a RUclips video on how to dismantle the dash on a Toyota LC 76 series with slow deliberate instructions on how to do it…is this something you would consider doing, please?
Hey Phil, it's not something we can help with sorry, we no longer have our hands on the 79 series, and don't have access to one. Hopefully you can find something around - perhaps try 70 series land cruiser pages on Facebook. Good luck!
What are your thoughts on the legal side of this. Heard alot of mixed opinions
For this setup, we kept the seatbelt mounts intact and the rear seats were only temporarily removed for the trip. Once we returned from camping, the seats were refitted as they originally were. From our understanding of QLD TMR rules, as long as seatbelt mounts and safety restraints are not permanently altered or removed, it should be legal. However, this is our interpretation and understanding, and may not be correct.
What happens to the last injector if weight reduction was achieved?

How is the unit going now that it's been installed for a few months. I'm tossing up on this or the new aerpro that has just come out. Would be good to know the pros and cons
The unit has been faultless and is really easy to use. It can be a little slow to connect bluetooth and android auto on first startup, otherwise we are happy with the kit!

Marks 4x4 don't make anything for the ranger at this stage.
1:48 how did you get that bottom grill off
Ok I went and done it myself, the only way to get the bottom grill off, is to break the plastic pins, as they are an only a once off use item.
Did you guys get the Bushwrapz installed there in cairns? I been trying to find someone to do the Pro kit on my ute for ages and did not want to drive to SEQ for it 😅😅😅

wondering how did the N70 go did it struggle at any point of it?
Did pretty well for a near standard setup and no lockers. The only point it needed assistance was through logans crossing, it wasn't necessary but we towed it as a precaution. Definitely more than capable for doing the trip!
This is what I am looking to do with my LC (when I get one). Do you know if anyone has converted their head unit and AC controls from a Sahara to a GXL style with the fan speed as a button control instead of within the display? In the US we only got the Sahara trim as standard, and this is something that everyone would love to change. Edited to change VX to GXL

Glad you got something from it mate, this same kit can be used for sahara with the optional HDMI cables to display to the rear headrest screens.

Not to sure buddy haven't looked into units for the newer FL 70 series models, aside from the Kenwood we installed in our '21 79. The Kenwood was a whole unit replacement, not an interface for the stock unit.

Great info. How do you find them on the road and off-road such as corrugations. Much difference in fuel use
Hey mate, no real fuel usage difference as the change in gear ratios compensation for the larger tyres and extra drag. They perform like a stock setup on corrugations, just with more clearance.

Congrats guys! I think you’ll miss the practicality of a tray and canopy. But the trade off for comfort would be hard to pass. Keen to follow the new build 👍 Do a single turbo conversion with a motec 😂
Thanks mate! We will definitely miss the convenience of a canopy, even if it was way too high to be practical 😂 the 200 is super comfy and it will be legal and insured when towing next year. That was the biggest thing for us. If you want to see the mods, you will have to follow along!
