Did the exact same in my rig couple months ago 👌 makes these old tin cans one hell of a luxury grocery getter that's for sure ! All unreal products can't fault them.
Top video mate. It’s inspired me to do mine. Mate can you please give me an idea on how the cup holder/ usb port actually comes off? I’ve got a 2022 single cab. I can get all the screws off and physically pick the unit up but don’t have enough slack in the electrical leads to be able to unplug it.. this is the final hurdle before I get stuck in. Much appreciated thank you
Hey mate! Thanks for the question. From memory the USB panel can be pryed up and out the top to unplug the wiring before removing the cup holder. It is easier to remove this way.
HAHAHA, Ya dog has a shit hanging out of its arse at the point in the video after finishing the first door card and your in the shed opening up a box ! 😂😂😂😂😂😉
Have the same Kenwood head unit in my cruiser and I absolutely hate it. I would much rather have physical buttons rather than the stupid touch screen. I always hit the screen mirroring button when I'm trying to turn up my stereo ahah.
Hey mate, have you got the measurement from the gear stick to left hand side of the floor console, just curious to know the sizing and cant find anything
About to do the same to our new troopy with the sound deadening. Not looking forward to it to tell you the truth. Could you tell us how you got the signal from the rear camera to your samsung tablet as we just ordered the K2C ram mount bracket. Is the signal from the head unit via bluetooth to the tablet or something else. We have a new alpine ixl511 floating head unit fitted. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Hey Nate, the Samsung table isn't connected up to any cameras in the car, it's purely there for the use of Hema Maps. The rear camera is only visible on the headhunt. Good luck with the installation, hope all goes well!
Nice work. Still waiting to do this to my 76 series. Did you end up having to take the back off the carpet like Car builders suggest, or did the carpet fit back in ok without seeing bulgy?
Thanks David. Definitely worth doing! We left the carpet as is. At first it did seem bulky but once everything is mounted and screwed back into place it's unnoticeable.
awesome video been procrastinating for a while on doing this to my 76 but seeing you get it done relatively with no major issues I'll give it a crack. Also what are those dash bags you have? they look great.
looking at doing this my self at home and just wondering about the difficulty? Not really mechanically minded but would love to save a penny and work on the car myself, cheers
Hey mate, it's not to technical if you get the pre cut kit. It's really just removing the interior that can be daunting. There are plenty of YT videos on removing the interior but if you send us a message on here or insta we are happy to help you with any troubles you have.
People may have different experiences based off different products used and what not. We personally find that it's significantly reduced the road and exhaust noise, as well as assisting with the sound of the new stereo! Each to their own, and we are grateful that after the time and effort that we can definitely say it was worth it for our vehicle!
I did mine, and it's not even diesel. 4.0 V6 and it'd made a huge difference and I now can drive all day long and not feel fatigue at the end of the trip. Another bonus, we can have a conversation without shouting! Impressive work you did. 👏

Huge difference mate, well worth it!
awesome work, needed a before and after sound test 😅
This would have been a great idea 😅
Nice rig mate!
Cheers mate!
Looks great mate.
Thanks 👍

Great Vid, about to do mine. Keen to know what brand your dash mat is ? Looks epic. Cheers
Cheers mate, the dash mat is from the bush company
looks great. Only inside of doors? I did in and out
Thanks mate, it's definitely a good bit of gear. We decided to go inside only based on what came in the kit we purchased.
@LifeoftheCromies Well great job. It's actually quite a bit of work to do it. Greetings from South Africa
Can you do the recaro toilet seat conversion ? That way you don’t even need to get out to poop 😄
You're thinking next level revolution here! 🤣
Can't imagine spending 100k on a car and needing to do this
I know right, ludicrous!

I do the same sometimes! I'm almost at the point of a new steering wheel so I can get buttons on it haha

Sorry buddy, we don't have the measurements, and the 79 has left the building!

Great video man was wondering did you have to cut the door out to fit the speakers in or do that just fit in the speaker pods cheers
Hey Matt, thanks for that! Around 19:00 in this video we cut into the door cards, that section is for the speaker installation 👍

Hey Matthew, glad to give you the motivation to have a crack. We are so glad we did it. The dash mat is from the Bush Company. It's super handy 👌
