You are very courageous to rip so much out of the car and have the confidence that you'll be able to put it all back! I'm impressed. For next week, my wife and I would love to hear comments about how you go about helping Harrison and James to develop ongoing friendships with kids of the same age. We've heard other families pulling out of full-time travel because it's been too hard on their kids.
What's your plans for the two holes left in the doors from the original mirror mounts, they look weird and definitely kick in the OCD whenever I see them in the videos lol 😂
Hi Simon, amazing what a difference a clean shave makes lol. Its odd to be watching you practically rebuild a brand new vehicle btw. 🤔 On one of your Q&A days could you do a run through on insurances please? How can you get cover for full time travel on car and van, how modifications affect it, are there specific companies who specialise etc, if that isnt in the too hard basket 🙄 cheers Cheryl
Great job doing the removal of the interior and install of the car builders kit. You will notice the difference while travelling on the outback roads. Can't wait to see the rest of the interior build. Just a quick question what was the bbq you had made in WA that you had at the lifestyle pioneers party . Travel safe on your next adventure.😊
Yeah, cheers! It's a Hibachi Grill from Firemate in WA. They don't have a website yet. You can contact him on Instagram, or if you don't have Instagram, send me an email simon@thelifestylepioneers.com. Mention we sent you, and he'll look after you 😉👊
probs been asked a thousand times but.. how far ahead do ya plan ? when ya travelling is all done ? Super, Savings, moving back into a home/house, Budget, the what if prep and savings ya plan for ?
Good job there m8. A bit off topic, do you have any issues when merging onto the Highway? Meaning when towing a decent caravan, are other drivers courteous and give you room when you're merging? Cheers m8
No problem. I can't say merging has been an issue for us but we rarely travel on freeways. My general rule is three flashes of your indicator and then start moving, they'll get out of your way soon enough!
@TheLifestylePioneers you peeps used to focus on travel, showing us beautiful places and cool tips and tricks with the caravan. But now you seem to focus on building the vehicle and the $$$ is out of reach of the everyday aussie family.
@joelmackie9616 Yeah, ok. I get that. We'll be back travelling soon enough. The car build stuff is only short term, and we get it's not for everyone. I think you'll enjoy what we have coming up 👍
That was a job well done, well worth the effort, I’m sure. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your build. Have a great week. Cheers from NZ
Thanks, will do!
Wow!! You are a patient man Simon!! Great job.
Thank you!

I've played around with cars since I was 17 which definitely makes it a little less daunting. Thanks for the quiestion, we'll be sure to include it!
With so much time travelling in the car it is a good investment. It takes out the truck feel and gives it a car feel. Well done.
Thanks, yes, it's great.
That was really interesting Simon

Still deciding what to do there. We have a few ideas, but I agree it's annoying
This my job next weekend to pull the interior out and hope to get the roof done. Then the rest of the car. Thanks for sharing.
Have fun!

Yes, quite different! Thanks for the question, we'll cover it in the video!
Great work on the sound proofing, I seriously contemplated doing it. Hopefully I will if a 76 is the ranger replacement, cheers
It's well worth it!

Hi, would love to hear what place you’ve been to has the best night sky view 🙏🙏🙏
Great suggestion!
An interesting choice of veh but well done, how much was the veh and the total cost of mods etc
Thanks. Vehicle was $76k, we haven't added up all the mods yet.
Simon starting to see your dream,
Thanks, Barry. Yes, it's getting there.

Great questions, thanks. We'll do our best to cover them
How much do you need just to do the 4 doors?
From memory about a box will do it. I'd check with the guys at Car Builders though.

adds 60kgs, but the air con will thank you!
Good to know!
Toyotas really need a lot of work to bring them up to a normal standard
They're a great platform for customisation which is a big reason we chose it.
To much material used.
Why's that?
Unfortunately this channel is moving further and further from being relatable to me and my families lifestyle/travelling plans.
That's interesting you feel that way. What is it do you think that's changed?
