Another awsom video mate. One of my favourite channels to watch. Don't change what your doing, in fact you could show even more details (and swearing). I love and can relate....totally. I've recent done the speakers in my 80, and some other electrical things, did same, soldered all connections, wires run through the grommets etc etc... painful and time consuming and am getting over it, but I'm nearly finished. I love how the plugs and the wiring colours are exactly the same still as my 97 model 80 series.
I just had that done. (Next ep) and I would say yes as even turning into a curb will compress the suspension and would probably still touch. It’s an easy job. Watch how I do it and then do it how I say 😂
Nice work. Having decent sound makes travelling in a LC so much more fun. BTW do you still "use DCS Lithium Batteries in all our projects and touring vehicles". Asking for a friend.
Great video and detail, have been watching channel for a while now. Are you able to provide details where you sourced these items and indicative pricing. I am now at the stage of my build to upgrade the interior.
Awesome vid - thanks! Do you mind sharing more details on the Alpin unit that you installed (Speakers and Amp etc. - or are these all part of the door pods?)
Gday mate, love the video I've ordered the same set. Everyone is telling me I need an amp with it, are you happy with the sound you get or wish you installed a bigger amp? (Im not looking to rattle the windows with music but trying to get it right first time and not have to rewire)
You are right about a nut-sert tool Adam, I use mine all the time for all sorts of things, better than tek screws that you see people use 😄 Great objective to only pull your cruiser apart once, I’ve failed on that one big time 😏 Waiting for the episode where Milwaukee gives you a tool sponsorship…
Hey Mate, love your content. just about to do the sound system upgrade, I would also like to keep the factory head unit. As it has apply play and reverse camera 2024 76. So is it worth spending the $2500 on the alpine flash head unit?
You really want be carful splicing into black powered wires on late model 79’s. They are normally can bus & it can cause very confusing issues. I had a 79 brought in with a noise coming from the bell housing. The noise was the starter motor engaging while the engine was running. It was caused from a dash cam installation. They had picked up the power from a powered black wire.
Thanks for the comment. And yes you can't just go splicing into any old wire that's for sure. I traced it to the door push switch and it was a switched negative not a power as such. Thanks for tuning in.
Forgot to add that I’ve also found running wires through grommets a steel braided cable, such as a push bike derailleur cable is also helpful to use a guide cable

Thanks for sharing. I'm still trying to get the courage to install central locking in my 76 Workmate :)
Not looking at a 76, but your video's have been a great learning tool for if and when I get myself a 78 Troopy
Glad to hear it helped.
Nice one ,top job ,stereo definitely a must do ,the pioneer looks to have it sorted
But he installed an Alpine system...
@spudboy1328 yep we'll what can I say I should probably look at the screen a bit more as for why I chose pioneer I'll never know
Good job make sure you rust proof where you trimmed the metal on those doors😮
Nailed it
Cheers
No dramas.
Great video to watch watching in Guernsey 🇬🇬 🤙
Glad you enjoyed it
Definitely did bring on the next one 🤙
Hey mate, do you still need to cut the bumper if you have a 2” lift to install 33” tyre? Cheers

Thanks for watching 👍🏼 I’d rather not comment as yet in dcs mate.
Top work mate, wiring sucks!! Now get back to the old cruisers please haha

Thanks mate. Got it all through street sound vision.
Awesome vid - thanks! Do you mind sharing more details on the Alpin unit that you installed (Speakers and Amp etc. - or are these all part of the door pods?)
Hi Deon thanks for watching, it all came as a kit through street sound vision.
Awesome brother. Did you intentionally leave out the bull bars and spotlights
Thanks for watching. The Bullbar I want isn’t available until August.
Hi mate. Do the alpine door pods miss the floor mats ok when you close the doors? Awesome work. Cheers.
yes they do touch them. Thanks of tuning in mate 🤙🏻

I was very happy with it mate, I have the little amp in behind the stereo
Great video helped with the install, are you getting a feedback white noise from the amplifier at low volume
Yeah I do little bit.
Awsome video 😊 I’ll be subscribing
Thanks mate.

I’d like the Alpine but couldn’t justify it. Sound wise I’m stoked with it mate.

Please tell me there will be an air box upgrade to keep the dust out.
I do have a solution coming for that.
Hey mate where did you get the Alpine kit from?
Hi mate. Street sound vision or ssv Its bloody unreal.
Awesome, what’s the model of the head unit ?
Don’t use WD 40 for electrical work, Automotive silicon is the weapon of choice for running electrical on cars 😉
