I haven't really been a jeep person but watching this video makes me want to go out and buy one and hit the trails in these Appalachian hills. Stay safe my friend.
Love this episode! Really does feel like you are there, without the body damage. Rain-x window cleaner wipes Casey. A package of Rain-x window cleaner wipes in the glovebox.
It's your jeep, do what you want, but don't hit deeper water with speed as it will force water into your intake and hydrolock your vehicle. I've seen too many people do it. I understand it looks cool, but it isn't worth showing off to do.
This turned out great!! Awesome episode Casey, you killed it! And thank you so much for the shout out 🙏 BTS episode coming up next weekend. “What it’s like to film and hustle for a RUclipsr” 😛🤘🎥
@@Casey250 please keep up on 🎥 filming , you are amazing and really thanks for the effort, beside do an ASMR Campaign, and i liked it when you where talking about how the ford bronco feels so well in every aspect , overall everything is mesmerizing casy
Have to say thanks, this was awesome. As much as I like the JL the JK has proven itself many times, yet it was odd the lockers didn't work-maybe not using them causes them to seize up.
Looks like a great trail. Glad to see the JK back in action. My front locker is doing the same thing. When I figure it out I'll let you know. Love the videos.
@@grenobel I've been servicing my front and rear axles at the same time every 30k and never had an issue. Being a mopar tech I just recently had a jk that the rear locker wouldn't engage. Turns out there was enough material in the rear diff oil to prevent the locker from actuating
@@austinfouts9139 good to know. I was planning on replacing current with synthetic gear oil. It would probably have fixed it and I would have attributed it to being synthetic vs fossil.
@@grenobel I know mopar says to use their fluid but honestly any synthetic gear oil will work just fine. I personally use amsoil but I know plenty of people who use Lucas and sta-bil.
Now me being a Cherokee owner and fanboy, of course I'm going to love seeing the variety of jeeps in the video but id like to point out that if your smart and strategic with your money, you can get yourself a clean Cherokee and be just a capable as these wranglers. Old, simple, easy to work on, and one hell of a fun vehicle to drive, these Cherokees can get you out there pretty far and back. Awesome video!
From an engine perspective in 4 low its similar. In 4 high the ecodiesel can cruise around, and often does not need 4 low unless its something I need to climb over. The JK is way more nimble the way ive built it. The JK feels more connected and like a Jeep when wheeling. The JL is super comfortable and is amazing on the highway going to trails where the JK feels like it wants to kill me lol
What kind of tires do you recommend for wet trails? I currently have ko2’s on my 2009 rubi. I am looking at the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T for my next tires. What do y’all think?
I just did a little mudding myself. This just so happens to pop up in my recommendations I'm already subbed so I can only say, kick ass job. This is a feeling that alot of people don't experience and I for one have to say it's so damn fun! Keep up the great work!
Not gonna lie I’ve really missed the jku great to see her out in her element again. Like watching a wild animal set free lol Btw what sliders and rocker guards do you have on er?
Good day Casey - now that you have had the Metal Cloak ARS for a few months - what is your review of the product - looking into getting one for my new JL - Or what recommendation do you have for a hardtop JL - still want to remove the hardtop in the summer
Of all the off-road videos on You Tube, this is one of my favorites. I would like to know where this trail is and if maybe I can take it with you sometime. In addition, there is a trail here in Souther Utah you might be interested in taking. Let me know the best way to reach you and I would love to provide additional details.
Need to remove road debris or an occasional tree in your way? That's why God designed Jeepers to carry Stihl or Husqvarna chainsaws. A 550XP Mark II with 18 inch bar lives in my newer Rubicon.
Just found this channel. Man that looks good out there. I love the video content. Just a heads up. The in car stuff is so shaky its pretty much unwatchable for me as i just get dizzy instantly. I just think it throws off the nicer steady footage outside also. Just a heads up 🤙 not trying to bash you guys at all. Hell i wish i could just join in the fun 😅 Hawaii is a bit far tho..
The in vehicle footage helps deliver the feeling of being with us. In my other Jeep it is setup for GoPro cameras which stabilize the shots. In this Jeep its run and gun, however, in the dark rainy forest GoPro cameras just don't work well so everything is handheld on my Sony camera. I limited the number of shaky shots but added some to carry the video. This video was an extremely difficult video to film an maintain quality. Welcome to the channel!
@@Casey250 that makes sense haha it did look like a rough day. No sweat guys. Loved it either way. 👌 lucky you got sick trails like that out there. I live on maui and it is very limited to trails or even trails that are open as gates get put up to prevent illegal dumping 🤦♂️
Im not sure if the sound is a device problem or something with RUclips, the audio is all balanced the same as all my other videos on studio monitor speakers and checked on a home theater and mobile device. But a couple others have mentioned that as well, could be a RUclips quirk.
I can see why your Locker wouldn't engage, you went through those Mud Puddles to fast, spraying your Engine, that doesn't look like fun, I'd rather go through those puddles nice and slow, why Mess up your Engine Compartment. What you guys managed to go through was Impressive

Hello what CB radio brand and model are you using?
I haven't really been a jeep person but watching this video makes me want to go out and buy one and hit the trails in these Appalachian hills.
Stay safe my friend.
One of the most satisfying videos to watch. Probably one of your best videos in my opinion.
Many thanks!!
What an awesome time. I love trail riding during bad weather, rain, snow, cold, etc.
Channelling Matts Off Road Recovery with that intro music..
6:53 - that noise gave me Jurassic Park vibes. Now that I think of it, the whole video does... Good to see the old red JK again :)

I LOVE the ambiance and the temperature
Now that's the kind of 4 wheeling I like. It keeps you on your toes but it can also wear you out. At least it does me but I'm old lol
Its super exhausting.
@@Casey250 I agree. It sometimes makes me fill like I been in a fight lol

Man I love this video. Takes me back to when I 1st discovered your channel. I'm glad you kept and brought back the JK.
Thanks! I want to try to trailer the red jeep to more places now the border is back open.
I love your videos and your choice of background music! Keep up the good work! I just got a 21 gladiator rubicon and love it!👍
Thanks so much!
Jeep is the real legend
I used to like beach driving in NY in the snow. Worst part was airing down in the cold temps haha
A fun area, the Hillcrest trails, with torrential rain lately, even better.
Love watching these video at night with my kids
Awesome!
Your old rig is awesome. You drive fearless. Bring more wheeling like this 💪
Ya I don't worry too much about the JK. Probably why I keep breaking it.
