I prefer the natural sound, engines and ambient noises, people communicating. Not a fan of music in the videos. All in all, I enjoyed this video, the narration and the build tips
Agreed. Music is good at times though.
Love hearing the sounds of rigs blasting through snow!
I second that I only want the engines sound and natures sound don't need folks' music choices
💯
Agreed
As a women into cars I agree with these types of videos. Although informative I would've liked to hear more sounds of nature/snow and engine.
I wish I could off-road my crv would need a lot of work to do that
Man the part with no music is just perfect, that V8 sings and is music to my ears
My brother Nate, my name is Andre. I would like to say that no music natural sound is the way to go. May God bless you my friend you be saved.😊
Dude, the editing of your trip reports is getting to be absolutely top notch. That section starting around 8:00 is fantastic, with the interior shot, the shot from the front, and the drone footage, all with the interior audio. Just great.
Exactly the kind of shot I'm looking for. AND the sound I'm looking for. that's music to my ears
I was thinking the same thing... how did he sync the timing on all those... was amazing.
I’m ready to get into some of this deep stuff with you. 👍🏻
You better be 😎. I can't wait, brother 🤘
That's what she said! 🙃
I love snow wheeling. Nothing beats going out and pushing the limits in a 4x4 and coming back with your rig cleaner than when you left
Especially the tires. Basically look brand new (other than the rock gashes and chunking) when done
This was great! Please shoot more day trips. It encourages those of us who can only do those and not the extensive trips that we often see on YT.
Being massive Land Rover fan I have to say that’s the best built disco and would love to see more of it! Keep up the good work and the trips
love that Jeep Wj .....
My friends and i used to have a cabin in the woods miles from anywhere. Winter was the best time because no blackflies or mosquitoes. The most exciting parts of the weekend was the getting in or even out again through the snow. Your video brings back all those precious memories when men were men and four by fours ate snow.
This is why you do day trips. Sometimes you find issues that ya didn’t know you needed to address and update.
That V8 engine sound amazing
the no music part was super sick - love the raw sounds
Snow wheeling in the PNW is one of the best things I've found. It has completely changed things for me. It's one of the few things that let's me fully be present. It's hard to explain until you get out there. Love the content buddy. Hopefully this season is incredible!
Right there with you on that one
It was great to see a jeep grand Cherokee wj on the trail. Was a great video like always
That drone footage of you guys plowing snow was so sick!
The disco vids are what brought me to this channel years ago, and will always be my favorite. So happy this one got filmed.
Thank you for explaining "lockers vs open" and why. Very insightful.
Man snow sketches me out so bad but I REALLY want to travel in it more. It’s so beautiful. Thanks to videos like this I can experience vicariously. Super sick adventure my man. That powder looks amazing
It was a great trip! Snow should sketch everyone out and It needs to be respected like the Desert. If you don't bring the right gear, you can definitely die out there. BUT with the right gear, Preparation and team of friends it's hands down one of my favorite environments!
Snow, just as sand or any other backcountry terrain needs to be respected. You should always have the proper gear, knowledge and training or you can definitely die out there. With:
1. The proper gear
2. Preparation
3. A team of others, that you know and trust (if you're not experienced, you should not travel alone.)
it's hands down one of the best and most enjoyable elements in which to adventure!
no tire chains for anyone?
@@bsg2580, tire chains do nothing in the kind of snow in this video. Tire chains are fine for packed and slippery snow on maintained road surfaces, but are completely ineffective in deep powder. They would only serve to dig the vehicle in deeper and get it buried.
@@TACTICALNOMAD these guys are ballsy running in such deep stuff. I would want taller narrower tires I think. Something! Anyway great video- we all need a little of this in our lives.
Nobody else doing these snow trips regularly. Love it. Great trip.
That rig is unstoppable
Embark on an offroading odyssey! This video captures the essence of conquering rugged terrains.
It’s nice to see your shop efforts being used on the trail. You could do more of these and I don’t think viewers would complain.
And, the NO MUSIC portions were a nice change.
100% agree on both sentiments.
One-day trips can be just as awesome to see on video as longer trips!
I prefer the no music pure action
The disco is back!! Love it!
Me too!
As a 4” lifted WJ on 33’s owner, robby is my spirit animal😂 dude is a beast!!!
Land Rover is an exceptional car: the only one that can extricate you from difficult situations without the help of other vehicles.
Thank you for an adequate amount of B-Roll. This didn't need to be a 25 min video, and it doesn't go unnoticed :)
Grew up in Central Washington and now live in N.E.Washington at 3000' elevation. We didn't have big tires maybe 33", ran some crazy homemade chains too with our rigs and I had my trustee warn 8274 with steel cable. Ahhh that was snow wheelin' back in the day!
There is an extra sparkle in your smile when you’re wheeling in the snow.
Love seeing a wj in the mix, even if it was on a strap 🤣
The horsepower section with no music was the best part of this video
So fun! Snow like that is fun, light and fluffy and not freezing cold.
Would love a tour of your cargo area in the Rover!
Noted!
I could watch all day these clips
Looks absolutely fantastic, what an adventure.
That’s the way to go. Out with a bunch of guys who know their stuff and are well prepared. Looked like you had a blast and great memories.
Yes! Two videos!
When I was in Jr High my family when to Seattle worlds fair in a Series IIA Land Rover we decided to go see Crater Lake. It was paved road with fresh powder. We were first to go up in morning. The snow was above the stock Rover bumper and stayed between the snow fence post every 40 yards. We stopped at lodge and totally surprised snow plow operator who spent the night. Nothing like your trip but pretty neat especially with the snow plow driver explicit remark. “How the heck did you get here this morning and don’t start down for 45 minutes.. it was still snowing
What a great memory! My early travel memories were in Europe in the back of my Dad's Datsun king cab lol. We called it Dan the diesel. It would have been a lot cooler in a Series 2a lol.
Dude, that Land Rover is SICK!
I really appreciate that you show you were able to do that with KO2s. Everyone bashes the KO2, but I feel like a lot of those people do not fully appreciate the driving skill to use them to their full potential. We ran them for years snow wheeling in our basic build offroad vehicle.
Yes there are better tires for strictly snow wheeling rigs, but for an all round overlanding rig, the KO2 does a fantastic job in snow aired down, and driven properly.
The KO2 is the best snow tire in the US because of 1 main reason. Size.
I've seen other snow specific tires that have better technology. Specifically, 3d siping.
BUT at the end of the day, tire size matters... alot!
Firestone makes a tire that has an unbelievable tread pattern, 3d siping, and other tech that I would love on my rigs. But the biggest size they make is a 35 in that tire 🤦♂️. I've tried a bunch of different tires in the snow, and I have found that the 39x13.5 r17 ko2 is the best because of the combination of size and a tight tread pattern. Everything else this size is too aggressive to hold onto snow. And everything with a better snow pattern is too small for our trails.
But I'm hoping to see some more competition in the big a/t space 😁. Because when tire companies compete, we win.
@@DirtLifestyle maybe the KO3 will come in that size
@@DirtLifestylewhich Firestones are you referring to?
Man, I wish I had the time and funds to go overlanding again. This is my dream trip and it makes me sad that due to financial limitations, I won't be able to achieve this any time soon, if at all. Awesome video and looking forward to more!
Horsepower and snow!!! Love the sound of it.
Thanks for making this video Nate! It was absolutely awesome and it’s making me think about finding some snow this year
Robbie, now would have been a good time for the trail plug....... so patiently waiting for the completion of it
It's good to finally see Robbie out wheeling with the old crew.
Loved the video with all the fresh powder. Enjoy the short trips with friends and we appreciate you taking us along this time!
THAT looks like FUN! Thanks for sharing...
It's awesome to see you out using your equipment. Short but sweet video...love it all.
What you said at 10:15 to 10:36 is exactly how I feel when I take my 2nd gen Cummins dually off road/mudding and camping with my friends and family or sometimes alone. Even just driving the ol girl is smiles per miles. Good video man.
Nice to Robbie out there in the Grand Cherokee, but I wish he would finish the XJ.
Haha the Land Rover Discovery Pulls out the Jeep and everything else 😊
I absolutely love your Disco. Such a great rig. I truly enjoy the fact that you are still giddy like it's your first time. Keep being awesome!
Great to see you getting out of the shop Nate, getting some fun time for all the hard work!!
That snow was beautiful and listening to the Landrovers V8 working, is music to the ears!
Awesome run. I'm headed up Wednesday can not wait!
Looks like a blast in all that snow! Thanks for sharing
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing
Looks like an awesome time and a great way to be with the people you care about.
Well done look like you all had a good time spending times with friend is priceless also decompressing from the day-to-day work week is also important. Thanks for sharing.😊
This snow trucking is so cool. That deep snow is really beautiful. That would be so fun.
Robbie needs to get that xj finished. 😂
Lol, yes, he does! Trust me, we heckle him about it weekly 😁
Man, what a trip it would be to go on one of your trips as a passenger. I don't have a rig capable of going where you go, but I think it would be a total blast to experience it with you!
Very impressive, quality shooting and amazing adventure.. everything put together perfectly!!👏
as a brit i approve of the Disco towing the Jeep.
Super cool to see a disco leading the pack in this! ❤
Incredible conditions and really cool video. Thank you for sharing!
Love the short trips with cool snow!!! Keep it coming! We’re getting ready for snow season down here in Bend Oregon here pretty quick. So excited!
Amazing Land Rover. Fantastic trip.
That Land Rover build is an absolute dream! As I build out my FJ80, this is the vision.
Thank you! It still needs some elbow grease, but it is proving to be very versatile. Honestly, I really love this old rover.
That's my happy place too, being out there. Keeps your youth!
awesome as always.thanks for sharing and taking us along.
Thanks so much....Snow on man..
Love snow driving. Miss living where it's a winter long event
Nice video…thanks for bringing us along. Clearly, you need to make more of these!
That feeling of conquering the elements.
Epic start to snow season, already itching to get back out there!
Not only a great fabricator but your video are over the top. Truly some of the best offroading videos on the tube.
When steel gets really cold, it also gets more brittle. Be careful and vigilant.
Epic trip, thanks for sharing.
The weather is fabulous
Thanks For The Ride !!❤👍
Awsome powdery Snow!
Can’t wait to see how the Samurai does in the snow.
“I can’t find the hole.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I lost it!!!
Another great video Nate.
I love the sound of that LandRover !
Not only the sound, after watching all of it, I am glad that I clicked (as a non overlander ;-) )
subbed!
Listening to a Rover 3.9 V8 Getn Down n Going to Work is just Pure Music

Great photography I love your wheeling trips the disco is a beast ! No snow here ever in Western Australia thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you Nate for your love of the Land Rover discovery, watching your videos help me pick the truck to build that I got rid of my jeep to get it’s a great platform with so many options. My future plan is to LS swap it.
Big fan. Your Land Rover is my favorite.
Great video, for us here in Aus, sweltering through 34°C & 85% Humidity... The snow vids are great and refreshing entertainment... Thanks Nate keep them coming...
Every time I watch your disco, it makes me want to go out and buy one! Love it!
This was f-ing AWESOME!!! Great video
Thanks for sharing! Looks like a great time!!!
Epic video man! We went snowwheeling over Thanksgiving but only with 33s. Watching this really makes me want to get a designated rig for stuff like this. Loved the section without music and just HP. Gave me chills and made me wish I was out there.
Germany here 🇩🇪
Got your video suggested on my page and i am truly thrilled. Nice editing, nice voice over and Storytelling.
I am really jealous of that kind of "freedom".
Snow wheeling is my all time favorite. I'm in Central Washington so I have the pleasure of being in it several months of the year. I love seeing that Disco get down in the snow. It sounds amazing man. Thanks for sharing your day trip.
