The first one was a good movie, the sequel is awful, that's the point, it might not joker from comic but if it's good we'll happy, but the sequel is bad.
@@fillah4910 yeah i thought this could have really worked too if they used this movie as bringing him to become the joker we all know. We could have even got a batman appearance at some point but they sort of ruined that in the first one making bruce Wayne a child. It just seems a bit pointless now as a whole.
still going to check it out Friday!
Folks didn't like The Hangover 2 & 3 and I enjoyed them.
I can't wait to see it too idc what he says Ill decide for myself
@tmovies92 I enjoyed the Hangover 2 but I hated the Hangover 3. I couldn’t stand the Alan character in that film.
Man, after hearing this, I'm really curious to see it now! 🎭 But also kinda worried if it lives up to the first one. Gotta have that magic, right? 🎥
Not surprised at all. I wasn't even sold after watching the trailer...
I loved the first one but I hated this one. I thought it was shit and I wish it hadn’t been made
It’s peak lil bro
@@Bingchilling11 I’m glad you liked it, but it didn’t work for me
@@Bingchilling11Yeah if you have no standards
Thank you for being an honest man. Most reviewers that I saw review this movie stand at the screen lying through their teeth and we can see their dignity slowly going away for a dollar.
When they first announced it would be a musical I knew we were in trouble
Your opinion alone is making me re think about going to see it. I trust your reviews and I don't want to waste money lol
No one opinion should matter but your own
@@Lazarus425Yeah but sometimes you take what someone says and save your money
@@ericsilva-gomez2481 "save money" probably like 10 bucks lol
@@MISCHIVUS All up to you. But if you really want to see it and you feel like this isn't worth going to see on theaters you can wait until it's on streaming. Just a suggestion
@@Lazarus425 no reason to give money and support a GARBAGE movie.
Can’t wait for your Megalopolis review
Here's a simple review for you: If the best bad movies are the ones that try to be good and fail, Megalopolis is the best bad movie ever made.
@@rodriguez1025 I’ve seen the movie. I was hoping to hear HIS thoughts on it.
This is why i love your content... You're truly honest with your opinions, because i recall you were so optimistic about this Joker 2 movie, but at the end of the day, if the movie sucks, you always say it... willing to see the full review at the show
John I totally agree with everything you said it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen made absolutely no sense love your show and your commentaries.👍
Everyone should have seen this coming there didn't need a sequel
Who thought it was a good idea making it a musical 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Yep dumb idea
Doesn't sound like that's the real problem at all, though. The real problem seems to be that they had no story to mesh with the musical. Like West Side Story without a plotline.
The problem is not a musical, but the story, there is no actual story in it, the movie is more about talking about the 1st movie event, and suddenly the ending makes the 1st movie pointless.
Damn, going to see it with an open mind. But hate to see a reaction like this to a film I thought had such potential from the trailers.
Don't take trailers 100% serious. It's not hard to make a bad movie look good through a trailer.
@@mightguy3118 I know, I just thought the filmmaking style and the overall plot looked good. Although it was just a trailer. I will still see it to form my own opinion, but I usually agree with Campea on most projects.
holy moly is that the AMC in Riverside CA?? no way ,youre from out here! ?😱
Thanks John for being honest. I’ve seen a couple other RUclipsrs dance around saying it sucked for some reason in their own reaction video.
Essentially, Phillips didn't want to do a sequel so this is him rebelling against the audience.
?
Unless he signed a contract, there's not really anything forcing him to make the movie. If he didn't want to make it, I'm sure the studios could have given it off to some other director. So rebelling against the audience is kinda silly. Just don't take the job.
@Jigglypoof He may have done it to prevent any other director touching his creation.
Saw it last night, thought it was pretty good! I will say I wish it cut some of the music out of it. It should’ve stuck to have maybe 1 or two songs. The ending was crazy. It worked for me! Loved lady Gaga! She killed it as always!
Ugh. Refunding my ticket. So sad! (Joker enthusiast here.)
This is the perfect example of not all movies need sequels. The first movie was a gem. It was the perfect stand alone movie. I definitely will not be seeing Joker 2.
So it’s hangover 2 all over again
I was looking forward to this one. Ah well, I'll wait for it to be on streaming to see it
Why am I not surprised? They forced this sequel. The first Joker was meant to be a one and done story.
I meant that's also true of Empire Strikes Back and that worked out fine. Having an arbitrary sequel isn't the worst problem - it's how you execute it.
Having heard about the leaked spoilers, your mention of the ending only confirms them, haha.
Thank you for saving my time.
Thanks for straight -shooter review, Mr C
I'll reserve final judgment for this sequel AFTER I watch it, but I'm reminded of my (and others) skepticism when the sequel was announced; what more could possibly be done, especially with the way "Joker" ended?
Thanks! You saved me money!
The first review I heard that’s not sugarcoating 😂
