What I find interesting about movies like this, is that even the most staunch defenders and fanboys never really come out and directly say that it looks "good." It's always "this looks really fun" or "looks like a movie you can turn your brain off and enjoy" etc,. etc,. It's like they know they are just dumb cash grabs but that's okay because the movies aren't supposed to be "good" or whatever. It's weird that you never hear that same argument for movies like Baywatch or Fast and Furious when they basically use the same formula.
Kamala Khan is a street level hero whose a fan girl of Captain Marvel. Originally her power was a toned down version of Mr.Fantastic where she can make herself bigger, but got changed to hard light projection in the mcu. Her issue #1 did well enough getting three variant covers eventually fights Shocker in New Jersey, starred in the commercial failure of The Avengers game and is set to die in a comic made by someone who I believe is writing The Marvels
This is gonna bomb hard considering it has to introduce two new characters to most people and Captain Marvel since her movie had her have amnesia and did basically nothing in terms of character interaction in endgame.
2:47 Yay you should watch it unless you have to so Ralph and Alex just saw it and they said it was really good and I love it. It ended for James Gunn's last Guardians movie and it break the Marvel rules of making it very grudging they don't allow to make a decent Marvel film so it did it very well and moving on which will be difficult. Even Adam would've allow to see in Watch-Along so that could be funny. I hope he doesn't find the racoon to be sentimental.
For how much Adum talks about video quality it's disappointing to see not only did he fall for the 1080p video rendered in 4k, but it's also oversharpened to make it look "better". It's most noticeable at 2:34.

Gotta love marvel actively trying to sink their ship I remember looking at their phase chart and going “oh well there’s always phase 6” before they went on to reveal phase 6 Well there’s always phase 7… *man it must suck to be a fan of these*
At least with Manga & Anime, we get a flaming pile of live action crap once every three to five years, with an occasional animated gold nugget every so often. Beats getting one peice of corn outta three shitpiles every year in a row, thanks Disney/Marvel.
As someone who is still a fan, yes, it does suck. The first Iron Man came out when I was in middle school and the first 3 phases of the MCU was something I'd never seen before. After culminating in Infinity War and Endgame, which were two of the best movies in the MCU and arguably among the top 10 or even 5 greatest superhero movies ever made, I was excited to see where they'd go afterward. I still really think the Multiverse Sage had (and still has) a ton of potential with a villain like Kang and all the multiverse stuff they can do with it. I played defense for so much of Phase 4, but Ant-Man 3 was what finally broke the spell for me. I'm really tired of Marvel putting out mid-tier movies that their fans have to defend. The tragic thing is, I desperately want them to be better, because I want this franchise to succeed and climb to greater heights than the first saga did. It would be incredible to see something this gargantuan realized in a satisfying and meaningful way. But they've taken their fanbase and their audiences for granted for a bit too long now imo. I actually don't think this movie looks that bad (I personally think Adam and his viewers have overly high standards and are really picky snobs a lot of the time), but I'll admit it doesn't look great, and what Marvel needs right now is GREAT superhero movies. GotG 3, Black Panther 2, No Way Home, and to a lesser extent Moon Knight are the only post-Endgame movies that I've seen people genuinely excited for and loved (although I suspect that with Black Panther 2 it was more that people missed Chadwick than that they loved the movie itself). As a Marvel fan, I'm sad because it feels like Disney has something monumental and great on their hands, and they're throwing it all away for pure corporate greed and laziness. It hurts to see it all slowly crumbling when the potential for unprecedented greatness is still there.

I did´t get into Captain Marvel, I hoped I would but I did´t like it very much, I might watch Miss Marvel show but again not sure. So I most likely will miss this one. I mean it is a fun concept but right now I don´t wanna watch a Marvel movie for being a Marvel movie. Rather watch it if I like the concept and potential story. Right here I am only sold the premise that could be an episode of a tv-show. This a a gimmick through out the movie feels tiresome, I am sure the director did thier best to make it work. But I do not like if it is so convinient they would have never made it without this abillity. Like a video game, yes a Marvels video game sounds fun.
Before I start watching this, I just want it to be known that I really enjoyed this trailer and am looking forward to seeing the movie. That said, and Adum hot take and the potential savaging that follows is absolutely a risk worth the reward. Let’s do this!
why would I spend $30 at a movie theatre to see another superhero movie when I can just watch it for free on somebody else’s disney+ account a month later. I wonder if that’s also why this looks so cheap. This feels so “filmed for tv”
Marvel super-fan and lover of (most of) the MCU's "Golden Age" here - so roughly everything up to Endgame: GotG3 is really good. It's, as usual, much too quippy for its own good, but it feels like it's heart is in the right place. Formulaic, sure, but the creative team focused on the right characters this time. I don't think you need to see it in theaters, though. All that said, The Marvels looks atrocious, and GotG3 is the first worthwhile MCU film in awhile. The original Captain Marvel absolutely did not warrant a sequel, and I think we all deserve a bit of a break with the relentless Disney content machine. Although, I might subscribe to see Adum & Pals watch She-Hulk. I already suffered through it once already and feel just maligned enough to want to inflict it on everyone else.

Regarding the sexism argument: This is obviously a movie for teen girls but it is aimed at a general audience and a largely male comic book enthusiast crowd. No one complained the Barbie movie exists or about Frozen making a bazillion dollaes. People complain that a franchise which offered a lot to the male audience has decided to stop doing that but still expecting that audiences support. If you love the movie, go watch it. I guarantee you the reader of this post do not like some movies and genres of movies. I dont like horror movies. They arent my jam. I get other people like them. I hope studios make horror movies for those people. Marvel said we offer movies for everyone then started making movies for girls and women. @shiggydiggy6847 To be honest you could have fooled me based on this trailer. I know nothing else about this character.
I can’t think of a single review of a Fast and Furious film that hasn’t used the line “turn off your brain and have fun” in the first sentence 😂
6:23 the director who did was the female director of "Candyman" remake which not a great remake.
Looks like a direct to Netflix movie.
6:24 "This is funny... that they're doing this."
Nice save, Adam.
I'm still so mad that it's not an adaptation of the Alex Ross's comic
yms: "is this trailer in 4k?"
my man just find a theatre showing the trailer
This thumbnail is amazing 😂
Idk how to RUclips but if you could add end cards over adum talking about end cards? Perfect edit.
If not watching Marvel movies is a point of pride then you should see my achievements.
00:50 It's been a while since I've watched a movie or game trailer and not made this noise.
It's nice of Adam to pay Ulillillia to read the patrons at the end of these videos.
How did they teleport where another “Marvel” was without telefragging each other? Hahaa!
I liked Caption Marvel and Nick Fury screwing around in the first movie but that was about it
Didn’t one of the Beastie Boys have it in his will that their music cannot be used in movies?
Adum would be proud of himself for not seeing a Marvel movie in the cinema
I'd be proud of myself too tbh.
For how much Adum talks about video quality it's disappointing to see not only did he fall for the 1080p video rendered in 4k, but it's also oversharpened to make it look "better".
It's most noticeable at 2:34.
Bree Larson doing comedy bits...
Oh boy...
She was good in 21 Jump Street tho.
4:11 also I like Kamala Miss Marvel better than Brie. I've seen the show and she would rule out this crossover movie because she's a sweetheart and very happy character than....miscast Brie.
i dont get how we barely established captain marvel as a character and now shes the only one we know in a new movie
like what are her weaknesses again? i forget, how do we gauge her power level against whatever they're going to vs?
Lord Father in Heaven, please don’t let them ruin Nick Fury, PLEASE!!
2:10 my ex bf had a full wall with comic pages pasted on it
did he ever watch the killers of the flower moon trailer
I haven't payed to watch a movie in theater since first Dr. Strange.
Get on my level Adam.😁
That's the thing... Guardians 3 had nothing to do with the MCU. Adam played himself. *chuckles*
I can't wait for weird internet men to get angry at Brie Larson for another 5 years! Fuck yeah let's GOOOOOOOO!
Why does everything has to be political, jeez. Been outside of Marvel and fandom culture for years now but haven't heard anything about this trailer getting hate from any specific group. I mean the trailer looks dumb, uninteresting and bland but other than that can't see anything that would make anybody "angry". But I also don't use Twitter so idk.
@@FunkyGhostHD You've been outside the culture... and you haven't heard anything. Truly a mystery for the ages.
Seriously though there's a guy called The Quartering, total nutjob, anyway he has like 100 videos just about his hate-on for Brie Larson. It's a thing. It's been a thing for years. And you're right, there is nothing here that a normal person would be upset about. But these aren't normal people.
Didnt think Chris Hemsworth & Don Cheadle were weird internet men.
@@PlatinumAltaria Haa! You watched the Quartering.
@@tehskullmunkymedia594 Oh my goodness, this JUST reminded me of that time years ago when you people started pretending that all Larson's costars hated her, because obviously all men hate women as much as you do. And then you stopped because they kept appearing in interviews and being friendly and it was a huge embarrassment. I'd almost forgotten about it!
BIG HANDS! RUUUUUN!
Damn. I agree with Adum's points and I'm also burned out on Marvel movies. But I love the ones where they got to space and shit. I kinda wanna see what that alien dance scene is all about. But not worth going to a theater for.
Brie Larson sounds like stolen cheese
It’s a movie that really implies you do homework before you watch it… which is why I lost interest in the MCU to begin with.
Maybe that's why as a non fan I have no clue where to start or what lmao. I have no clue what is happening so it's hilarious
"WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!?!?"
Honestly, I'm kind of on the same boat as well. I haven't even seen the Ms. Marvel show myself, and she's one of the main characters in this film.
The irony of that is it’s the same excuse Kevin used for why they let a dude with a bow fight Thanos but not like the defenders
Well that homeworks is gonna involve a shit ton of cancelled comics & crossovers no one gave a shit about.
I never had that much shit on my walls. A poster here and there, but never my own drawings
at 4:05 Adam can see that something is very wrong with what he's seeing, but cant put his finger on it. He sure isn't wrong about that. Where's her left knee? (she has emu legs or something (?)) Her elbows are made to appear at different locations on each arm.. her shoulders appear way wider than her hips, usually an XY characteristic.. and probably a lot more weirdness. Maybe they are using cgi 'enhancements' for who knows what social engineering nonsense. Yay.
Gotta love marvel actively trying to sink their ship
I remember looking at their phase chart and going “oh well there’s always phase 6” before they went on to reveal phase 6
Well there’s always phase 7…
*man it must suck to be a fan of these*
At least with Manga & Anime, we get a flaming pile of live action crap once every three to five years, with an occasional animated gold nugget every so often.
5:04 I'm sure it's her real face when she's on the toilet doing number 2..
PERFECT HAIR SUPERPOWERS!
6:52 THANK YOU. I hate it when RUclips channels decide to throw end cards while the video is still playing. It’s a minor thing, but it bugs me to no end.
Can’t wait for the inevitable wave of incels that say you hate women just because you don’t like the movie or Brie lmfao
300 mill+ and this looks a TV movie
I kinda wish Black Adam was just YMS in black face.
Before I start watching this, I just want it to be known that I really enjoyed this trailer and am looking forward to seeing the movie. That said, and Adum hot take and the potential savaging that follows is absolutely a risk worth the reward. Let’s do this!
Dhar Mann is the main villain of The Marvels
Cool Cat is in this movie.
honestly looks fun to me
why would I spend $30 at a movie theatre to see another superhero movie when I can just watch it for free on somebody else’s disney+ account a month later.
I wonder if that’s also why this looks so cheap. This feels so “filmed for tv”
Or you could watch a good movie.
Wonder Showzen t-shirt.
why is he sighing
DARKHAWK MOVIE WHEEENNN?!
Aren't we at the barrel's bottom already?!
Give me my Not Guyver movie!
(Or give me more actual Guyver movies. With David Hayter AND cockaroach Mark Hamill if I may dream. 🤞)
DUH MAHVALS WIL B GUD!
6:50 he literally dissed every youtube video ever made
that shit makes me sooo mad
As a big Marvel fan, I can sadly say this looks like shit. I’m also surprised Captain Marvel even has a fan.
I can't wait for Adumb to review this movie, but it's not actually a review but rather him bitching about its fanboys and only talking about the movie for 2 minutes
Would have made all their money back in memes if they called it The Morbels
Because Morbius totally made a lot of money from the memes
@@sammckenney8163 That'd have been the joke, yes. A clearly inferior title to an already noted failure would have been a better marketing strategy than this trailer.
I miss the days where everyone would wait till a movie came out before judging it … this movie was done filming for a year now , they have lots of times to make the quality great !
5:11 because in super Hero world, fixing your hair after a fall or when the wind blows isn't considered a normal thing... MARVEL!
They should normalise that stuff, it's basic human actions. weird
marvel movies just do not interest me anymore, there's too much going on and too many characters for me to care about keeping up and they all are just a mess of expensive and shitty looking CGI; I'm ready for them to be done
I genuinely think it looks good but I like comic books and comic book movies. I think it looks bad in the way anime looks bad to people who hate anime. Comics were always like this.
Everyone in Star Trek has long flappy hair now even space kanekelon braids (a hair do that takes up to 5hrs to install IRL) as well, it is in universe dangerous and stupid, makes no sense. But I still looooooooove Monica Rambo braid out (wig?) ... As a long haired (apparently) not female the perfect hair at all times fantasy would not hold sway over you as over those of us who have and still do spend hours oiling, spritzing, curling, dying straightening, extending, clipping (off, on or in) and teasing our hair on the daily or for special occasions just to look like that one celebrity or fashion picture. It is all very sad. Hair porn is a thing.
Not loving the movie isn't sexist. Not liking the Madea movies isnt racist. People are allowed to not like things. I guarantee you the reader of this post do not like some movies and genres of movies. I dont like horror movies. They arent my jam. I get other people like them. I hope studios make horror movies for those people.
Marvel said we offer movies for everyone then started making movies for girls and women. If Mattel made a barbie movie but it was actually a bait and switch Ken movie. I guarantee barbie fans wouldn't be thrilled. That isnt misandry. That doesnt mean they must hate men. People hate being manipulated and being promised something and getting something else
Beastie Boys only redeeming quality. RIP MCA
best friends forever 4 eva?
