19:33 WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT Question. Why would humanity leave earth? Was it pollution like in walle? A ice age, super volcano, climate chaos, nuclear warfare? Why would humans want to abandon earth like it went through a apocalyptic disaster?
Well, it was mentioned in the vid that humanity probably mixed in with the UGF, so perhaps they thought their planet had no more to offer and left it? It might be a "depleted of resources" issue that caused them to abandon the planet, and then Earth evolved and replenished itself over millions of years. And since the Disney movie-verse always has a mostly optimistic view on the world, maybe humans decided to leave Earth due to said resource depletion, wanting to preserve what natural beauty remained after their advanced technological advancements? Maybe they had talks with the UGF who scientifically determined the current state of the planet and were a large force in determining abandoning Earth.
i thought it was because of the galactic federation's stance on gene editing and so they ditched the planet to basically cover it up as "see, they're naturally like that, we didn't do a thing!"
Considering that the earliest of promotions described zootopia as a world where humans (and primates in general) never happened, I’m pretty sure the “animal films” are just apart of alternate timelines, or films within the show n universe Disney, and don’t actually take place within the Disney universe, same going for treasure planet.
This has nothing to do with this video, but could you guys do a theory on the movie The Thing? The ending really confuses me and I wanted to see what you guys could come up with.

I love how the Goat from Wish specifically talks about dreaming of a utopian metropolis where animals walked and talked; and wore clothes. Bro was directly hinting at Zootopia/Zootropolis specifically; and that's actually one of my favourite Disney movies, so I consider him a real GOAT for that reference.
I've been waiting for this episode! Y'all did a great job piecing everything together, it honestly feels more cohesive than the pixar theory, much thanks to the star magic being an overarching theme. It really feels like a worldbuilding project with a magic system and monster races and everything!
Hearing MattPat's voice still reminds me of the first days of Film Theory and its sister channels. Hope to see you agin MattPat, in the meanwhile, you're doing great with the channel. The loyal theorists are still here.
I love Lee starting the video with "this was my most commented video ever" and later disagreeing with an old Film Theory video (Tarzan as Elsa's Sibling)
Funny but unlikely what happens in Star Wars because that happens a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Also the “Humans” in Star Wars don’t originate on Earth the general consensus is that they originate on Coruscant.
I like to think that when they say "a long time ago in a Galaxy far far away," they mean the early days of the galactic federation. During the rise and fall of the old Republic, the machinations of the first galactic Empire ect ect
If I may be so bold as to put my own two cents in this timeline: Instead of having all of humanity leave earth in order for it to be populated entirely of animals why not instead say that thanks to things such as Yzma's potions or the advanced science coming out from star magic, that not only did the animals use said technology to become more human like but that also the humans who remained on earth used the same tech to turn themselves more animal like thus creating a world populated by hybrids. Great Video by the way!

Treasure Planet is ABSOLUTELY one of the best animated movies out there. Big part of my childhood, *criminally* underrated and unknown. Anyone who hasn't seen it yet, should. But Lee..... I dunno if we needed any more of it, Disney hasn't exactly the best track record of sequels. I really think it's just good enough on its own.
Completely agree. I had just rewatched Treasure planet with my little ones. It’s such a good movie with simple yet strong themes, a fun story and beautiful animations and music.
They referenced that in the last video, saying that it can just be that Genie is messing with time travel (since Genie makes a lot of references to future things).
If you're doing the battle royale for Disney princesses, do a collaboration with Death Battle to help, would be a great throwback since Mat got his start there
I'm so disappointed in the vote from the last theory between the three princess choices. Toupee's capacity for destruction far outshines the other two. The only thing that could compare is Te ka's rampant chaos from Moana's movie.
That’s what I’m saying I don’t think enough people watched the tangled series to understand the full power of rapz much less Elsa getting 5 times the votes than the other two rapunzels power levels make her one of the strongest characters in the Disney universe.
Rapunzel getting last in that fight seems wrong, especially if you factor in her extra incantations from Tangled: The Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. That made her hair nigh indestuctible, and gave her things like solar manipulation, levitation, emotional manipulation, decay, destruction, and likely a prolonged death touch. 1 second of contact with her using the Decay Incantation caused an atrophied limb. I can see Elsa winning with range and versatility but Raps definitely beats Moana.
Not only that but it’s confirmed by the creator of the series she is so much more powerful than you think making her one of the strongest characters in the Disney universe. She has the powers of two gods Chernabog and Belobog. She has resurrection hax time manipulation. She literally no diffs all the princesses and most of the verse.
Meet the Robinsons is one of my favorite movies of all time, I remember getting the dvd from Netflix and watching it all day on repeat I loved it so much. I rewatched it recently and just got flooded with nostalgia and the story is better than I remembered. It’s legitimately a very good and sweet movie.
@@MonsterPrincessLala CHAPTER FORTY-EIGHT Iduna "DO YOU HAVE TO GO?" Things had moved quickly from the night I had told Agnarr the truth in our secret room. We would trust only the captain of the ship and his skeleton crew with the truth-and even then, not until after we'd set sail. No one wanted us to go, of course, the seas being notoriously dangerous at this time of year. But no one was more adamant about this than Elsa.
@@loganentertainment1814 We know, the point was that they've been working on the Disney timeline, which is essentially the Pixar theory that everything is connected. The title is rather confusing because it lends to the concept you're talking about 🤔
Right. The comment I’m making, is a joke from the title. The video is about the timeline, but the title does t really fit with it, which is why I’m making a joke about it by saying the fall of Disney has been happening. All the Disney movie spoofs in Zootopia are likely remakes that the animals did of the old movies that the in-universe Disney made. Good point about Nick though.
For me, I always believed Zootopia, and the Disney ride Splash Mountain had a connection. Especially with how similar Zootopia's Judy Hopps, and Splash Mountain's Br'er Rabbit look and act, almost as if they were related. Only thing that could be seen as a continuity error is if you consider the animated segments in the film they come from featuring a live actor interacting with Br'er Rabbit. 19:33 WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT Question. Why would humanity leave earth? Was it pollution like in walle? A ice age, super volcano, climate chaos, nuclear warfare? Why would humans want to abandon earth like it went through a apocalyptic disaster?
Wall E explains it perhaps ?
@@benfuentes2118 that's Pixar tho...
We have a cross over baby😅@@CuriousNeon
i thought it was because of the galactic federation's stance on gene editing and so they ditched the planet to basically cover it up as "see, they're naturally like that, we didn't do a thing!"
This is such a good video idea
Yea!
Considering that the earliest of promotions described zootopia as a world where humans (and primates in general) never happened, I’m pretty sure the “animal films” are just apart of alternate timelines, or films within the show n universe Disney, and don’t actually take place within the Disney universe, same going for treasure planet.
yeah.
Meet the Robinsons is a great movie! So underrated!
This was really cool! Good job film theory team!😀
Can’t believe how awesome this is, you rock!
So impressed by this, you always do it so well!
Absolutely phenomenal theory, love this timeline so much. Also Treasure planet is definitely top 3
This has nothing to do with this video, but could you guys do a theory on the movie The Thing? The ending really confuses me and I wanted to see what you guys could come up with.
I love SuperCarlinBros theories! Their early HP theories are sooo good, my AP English teacher would appreciate all the literary elements they analyzed.
21:54 I wholeheartedly agree with you. It was and still remains in my eyes the most beautiful and amazing Disney film of all time. Treasure Planet...oh how you deserved so much better.
10:32 GARGOYLES MENTIONED. I AM HAPPY.
I quite literally gasped when I heard it. It is so underrated. My beloved dark Shakespearean show full of stone warriors 🙏
3:15 technically there wasn't a donkey potion in The Emperor's New Groove, Kuzco was turned into a Llama. But it's entirely possible that Yzma would have one.

This is my first film theory since matpat left. The vibes are immaculate. Well done sir
Finally a new Disney theory!🥳
Those theories are cool
I'm so Glad film theory didn't fall off 🙏
I've been waiting for this episode!
I'm glad to see there are other Treasure Planet enjoyers out there, it also stands as one of my favorites alongside Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

No but seriously, this is one of my favorites and I love it so much.
Nice

All jokes aside, I loved Meet the Robinsons as a kid.
So glad you brought up big hero six the series and Gargoyles! Love those, glad they could the fit in this theory.
I love Lee starting the video with "this was my most commented video ever" and later disagreeing with an old Film Theory video (Tarzan as Elsa's Sibling)
Both of my favourite Disney movies (Lilo and Stitch and Treasure Planet) being in the same universe makes me so happy

20:39 maybe a star war
Yeah
Real
Funny but unlikely what happens in Star Wars because that happens a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Also the “Humans” in Star Wars don’t originate on Earth the general consensus is that they originate on Coruscant.
Yeah but still it could be so fun

8:24 are we justt gonna skip over the fact that you left out Anastasia? That should be placed before princes and the frog since it was placed in 1916
Because even though it's like a disney movie Anastasia is not made by disney but 20th century Fox
FINALLY! Vindication for that crackpot Frozen/Tarzan theory 😂
What about a live action though?
It's sooooooo good idk how it failed considering
We see ancient Greeks in the Aladdin series . It's a bit of alternative history we don't know when Aladdin takes place
They referenced that in the last video, saying that it can just be that Genie is messing with time travel (since Genie makes a lot of references to future things).
We know time shenanigans tend to happen in that side of things, so we don't really need to overthink it 🤔
If you're doing the battle royale for Disney princesses, do a collaboration with Death Battle to help, would be a great throwback since Mat got his start there
great video wish that the time line picture was a bit more clear (add some time points that are consistent)
Its just hair man
@@blizzkinggaming6587 definitely not just hair, the hair can destroy anything can’t be destroyed can disintegrate anything it touches.

Agnarr the truth in our secret room. Our story was simple: we were going on a two-week trip, to attend the wedding of a faraway princess by route of the Southern Sea.

Especially since Disney was jealous of Sonic 3’s success, and acknowledged it on twitter. (I believe)
What about wreck it Rhino in Zootopia and Nick in Ralph Wrecks the Internet
All the Disney movie spoofs in Zootopia are likely remakes that the animals did of the old movies that the in-universe Disney made. Good point about Nick though.

For me, I always believed Zootopia, and the Disney ride Splash Mountain had a connection. Especially with how similar Zootopia's Judy Hopps, and Splash Mountain's Br'er Rabbit look and act, almost as if they were related.
Only thing that could be seen as a continuity error is if you consider the animated segments in the film they come from featuring a live actor interacting with Br'er Rabbit. However it doesn't have much of an influence on the plot so I tend to ignore it
The original splash mountain was based off of a racist older live action Disney movie that they have disowned
