I'm definitely gonna do this when I rewatch the movie in February.
You could also do that rewatching Babylon 5
@@BeniBela I had to google it, and it does look a bit familiar (I must have seen some reruns on my main national TV channel when I was young), but The Marvels looks more lively and fun (for a rewatch, or more specifically for a rewatch with drinking games).
You'll willingly rewatch that?
@@_coffeebean_ yes.

😂 great quote from “My cousin Vinny” in the epic voice bit!
Haha!! Superb!! 😂👌🏼
Money Plane! That movie is still the gift that keeps on giving!
I absolutely yelled "They're doing a Spaceballs" in the theater
Ah, so it was you who pulled me out of the immersion? How dare you! 😉
meanwhile still waiting for a remake of Japanese Spider-Man along with his giant robot.
It really made me want to (edit:) re-watch spaceballs. I don't know what weighted heavier against the movie, writing or directing but there were some serious issues.
Spaceballs is great, watch it
Watch spaceballs
Seriously, go watch Spaceballs. It's got a better plot than MCU's entire Phase 4.
@@TheReal_JG There was plot in the MCU's Phase 4????
The writing for this is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.
I can imagine some disney CEO with the brilliant idea: "let's give the captain some charisma, Brie sang so well in other films." And so this unforgettable MCU scene was born.

5:33 "Well, it definitely sucks!"
How was there no mention of them using the song "Memory" during *that* scene? That was brilliant.
This is the internet, they’re only allowed to hate on marvel.
Being positive would result in DDoS attacks by the neckbeard legions.
That pissed me off so much. I didn't want to be reminded of the movie Cats during a movie I was already not enjoying! 🤣🤣
Cats is terrible, but Babs is classic. I really enjoyed that scene in the film. I may be one of the few who actually enjoyed it. My husband did walk out though 😮
@@JustSomeCanadianGuy sure, let's assume that any reference to a musical that has been running for literal decades, must be specifically in reference to the movie that made a pigs-ear out of said musical. Smrt.
Iman Vellani was trying here. I hope she gets a cameo or spot in whatever ensemble film comes after Thunderbolts.
"oh right, the vilian".. Best line in this whole video. And most accurate. The Marvels is the first movie where I started to forget the movie WHILE I WATCHED IT...
Honestly, it was really fun. Tone rollarcoaster, but still fun

Completely agree about Ms. Marvel carrying this movie on he r back. Iman Vellani is the best thing about this movie. She was awesome. Should be proof enough that what Marvel needs is more ACTUAL comic book fans in the mix, when making comic book movies. Seems like a no brainer to me, but...🤷♀️
I really enjoyed this movie, but I wish I could see a version of it that wasn't weighed down by studio interference. I like the main characters and their interactions, and there are a lot of fun ideas. The best comparison I've seen is that this feels like an arc plucked from deep into an above average comic book run that has been going on for a long time. If you're on board for that kind of storytelling, it works pretty well, but it would be nice if it felt more like a complete movie.
Movie only exists because of the studio interference. Her character and everyone else in the film just seem unnecessary by this point. It's just a progressively less known group of characters fighting a bad guy with occasional nods to other comics. People just got bored.
I agree that it felt like one of those long-running series things where the heroes just play basketball and shoot the breeze for an issue, and it’s a welcome palate cleanser. Unfortunately, not the best starting point for a $200 million movie.
@@sws212 "Less known group of characters"
Kamala Khan was more known before her MCU appearance than the GOTG before theirs lol. She's not exactly lesser known than what the MCU is used to working with.
5:19 To be fair, there is a line at the end about Fury sending people to the singing planet to help out, implying there are at least some survivors.
Iman Vellani is great! She has such great acting and chemistry, and the Ms. Marvel show was amazing! The humor and comic drawings and stuff was amazing. She's definitely one of my favorites.
Saw this with auto-generated subtitles and got "Monica Rambo", which made it even funnier! 😀
