The original GT350 hit the streets… and tracks… in 1965 and is still regarded as one of the most capable American performance cars ever built. The ‘65 was a no-nonsense purpose built street legal racer in a Mustang 2+2 body comprised of hand-picked parts and smart modifications made by the Shelby team in Venice, CA. It was light, nimble, and basic, and it rocked on the street or track. The Shelby name has since been applied to just about everything you can think of, and there is no doubt that some Shelbys remained more true to the original concept than others, but the 2016 GT350R is one hundred percent deserving of the snake and stripes. Actually, the Ecoboost cars are also flat-plane cranks The real reason the 5.2L engine is famous is because of the half-dozen modifications to increase peak rpm (including flat-plane), bore, breathing and compression.
Yep, it has different heads, valvetrain, intake manifold and throttle body compared to the vanilla GT's.

This is the only production car in the world with Carbon Fiber wheels made by Carbon Revolution at over 15,000 a set not including tires?! Gotta give it a thumbs down for that, they are not just for show, serious performance gains from the wheels have been proven.

The wheels are worth more than the GT350R upgrade alone from the GT350. It is kind of the point to make a low volume production car.

Pretty bad ass but I'd still rather have a 65 GT350R or a 68 GT500. Yes these are faster and more comfortable but you can't even work on these cars yourself anymore. They're just rolling computers. And they just don't have the style or character of the classic Shelby Mustang's
Saw one of these black / black 350s at my local dealer, stunning and beautiful car, except for the satin black stripes, which unlike the originals painted stripes, are a tape kit, which looked like it had been applied by drunken grade schoolers, quality was obviously NOT job one on this pricey pony.
dont know who styled the car, but they sure was absolutely on point. The one thing that had long failed with american cars what the fact their designers were clueless and blind as a bat. Lines didnt flow with one another, shapes conflicted and clashed. proportions were all off. only a few cars like the mustang saw things that worked. and even then it took a bit of time for you to warm up to their looks. But now... the exact opposite. The Shelby GT350 and 500 are jaw droppers. truly stunningly vicious looking cars. everything so right. nothing much to complain about. they will go down in history just as stunning as Eleanor.

Last 2016 gt350r thats untitled. I just saw it. Its at Paul Miller Ford in Lexington, KY. Its been in climate controlled storage until YESTERDAY. THATS RIGHT. BRAND NEW and 1 of only 500. $110,000 + ttl. Call my friend Patrick Ellis at 800 300 FORD. Tell him Bill sent ya.

The previous generation Mustang was the S 197 model made from 2010-2014 The GT 500 made in 2014 had 662 HP, which is a bit more than 526 last time I checked.

Although the GT350 isn't the highest powered car, it revs high and has a wicked exhaust note. It also handles really well from what I've seen. It's a great buy and a very great car for the price that can compete with many exotics. I would LOVE to have one! That's for sure B)

I was wondering when a video like this would pop up and I love it in my opinion that is the best GT350 ever made and quite possibly the best Mustang ever made. I love that car there's only one thing I wish was different and that was Michelin would have made those exact tires but made them in red lines now the question is can I find a wrecked one from the back and stick that engine in my Opel GT I'm restoring in my garage hahaha just kidding sadly I know the answer to that

This pony has an independent rear wheel suspension thus can corner like no tomorrow! Probably the best track pony Ford has yet to produce. Yeah, the beast GT500 can beat it in a quarter mile and has more HP.

Those back tires are wide as hell, it's crazy that you get a line lock and exhaust cut outs from the factory, and it still has a warranty.

He was referring to the 2007 to 2009 GT500. It only produced 500hp with it's supercharged engine which was also an S197 chassis car the same generation as the 13-14 Shelby.

It would be stupid to drive a car with carbon fiber wheels and cup 2 tires as an everyday driver. The tires would last 4,000 to 15,000 miles at the very most. You would destroy the rims and the tires very quickly.
Yep, you would take off those carbon fiber wheels and only use them for track events. Get some GT350 wheels for everyday use :)
