Good show, but seriously how could you take 3 track-special cars to the track and NOT PRODUCE A LAP TIME??? Why do you guys consistently rely completely on eyeball tests and never post numbers?
They could do like Car and Driver and have everyone lap each car, and then post the best lap time for each. It removes the (obvious) bias, and also helps compensate for any individual inability. OR they could just hire a pro like MT. The way this should have gone was: Best Track Racer - Viper ACR Best fun street car - Mustang GT350R Best all around - 911 GT3R
One would hope that at least one of them would have enough track experience to lay down a halfway decent lap in each car. Even if it isn't as fast as a pro it should at least be consistent and show each cars relative potential. Besides Gingerman raceway doesn't have many recorded lap times (to embarrass them), such that the Viper holds the top two spots, and the third fastest lap time is a Ford GT...which a modern 1LE Camaro would destroy.
The Viper just looks menacing, definitely the most racelike car of the three, the GT350R has the best sounding engine, and the Porsche is the overall best car. Money aside however for less than 100k the GT350R is the winner, the Viper wins at being a racecar and the Porsche is just a technical masterpiece. Literally the only thing I've seen race drivers say negatively about the car is it could use another 100HP. These people go on about how fast it is and how it handles "OK". The handling is the singular trademark trait of the car aside from having a giant flat plane crank engine.
I absolutely love Porsche's infotainment system (991.1 C2S). My phone connects automatically every time I get in and it's so easy to just connect to Spotify and go. Also, I can set the rightmost gauge to a minimap of the road ahead of me, allowing me to see which turns are coming up and how sharp they are.
I don't take brits seriously... I personally would pick the GT350R. Road & Track picked it as 2016 performance car of the year vs. viper, mercedes ,ferrari, bentley, cadillac, corvette, porsche. Might as well mention the very first auction purchase for 0001 production of the GT350R at the Barrett Jackson auction was over $1,000,000. Consumers know what they want regardless of price. Pure enjoyment to drive and it's American. Auto is not even an option.

Well, if you take MT's LS (I think it was LS) track times, both the C7 Z06\z07 pack and the Viper ACR beat the 918's time. Take that for what you will. Also, I think you have to understand that while yes these are track ready cars, they were ultimately made as street cars. So you can't judge a street car solely on track time\usage alone.

the mustang is a nice swiss army knife, can enjoyably do it all, but not the best at any one thing, cheap and accessible to most people. the GT3 is a lightsaber, pinpoint, perfection, only available to the elite. the viper is a goddamn chainsaw
EMME HALL!!! I remember when you did review's for roadfly! sorry, not tryna creep, i just remember watching you in videos when i was in middle school then you vanished, just to now pop up with some of my other favorite hosts, reviewing track monsters. good to see you back on in front of the camera!
The outcome was predetermined long before the review began. The GT3 RS won by just being there. It is like the iPhone. Incredibly popular even though it's hopelessly expensive. Everyone who does a comparison test chooses the GT3 RS in the end. Consistently. No matter what. I have yet to see a video where the GT3 RS loses.
eddieJDM100 Like I said, I have yet to see a comparison where the testers pick another car and the GT3 RS loses. I personally haven't seen a comparison between the GT3 RS and Nissan GT-R Nismo anywhere yet. If you have a link to such a comparison, pliz supply.
That's a really terrible analogy. The iPhone isn't any more expensive than any other top tier smartphone. And the iPhone is popular because it's a very, very good phone. The GT3 RS, however, is painfully expensive compared to other cars that can beat it around a track, like the Viper and the Z06.
GT3 RS (and most Porsches for that matter) win because like other brand name products, consumers and reviewers are biased Porschefiles, some without being aware of it. Generally European cars garner more attention and praise when compared to American and Japanese counter parts. Porsche elevates this notion a notch. They are good cars, and worthy of compliment, but that aren't without fault. On the flip side, American cars, like the Viper, have to overcome an enduring, negative bias. It's easier for reviewers to fall back on old truths/stereotypes and consumers drink the Kool aid. I've driven the new gen 5 Viper, it's an easier car to drive, not frightening at all. But see, I don't believe everything I'm told. What we can be sure of is, the ACR outperforms the rs everywhere for less money; it's equally or more rare; and offers a true driver engaging experience. Also we know that the GT350R gives performance equal to the standard GT3 for less money and it sounds better. Really Porsches big win here is the intangible, more subjective qualities it possesses. Because objectively I just don't see it. . . .
THEY ARE ON A TRACK WITH TRACK FOCUSED CARS AND THEY SPEAK ABOUT THE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM AND AUDIO SYSTEM??? I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE STEERING, BRAKES, GEARBOX, PEDALS, WHEELBASE AND HANDLING.
Track car: Viper ACR Everyday + track car: Porsche GT3RS Cheap man's track car: Mustang GT350R Don't get me wrong i like every car in this list and i would like to own them all. But if i could only pick one, i would pick the Porsche GT3RS.
this one only proves yet again that Power isn't everything, one of the best comparo I've ever watched... Great work Roadshow, only the M4 GTS was missing though 🤔🤔🤔....
I like this show amazing factual and not bias. to be honest I know the bloke with the glasses as I have followed him from his car shows from the UK amazing piece of kit. p s all 3 work well together and the glasses suit you bang on. awsome reveue
You don't know the specs, if you did you wouldn't of made an ignorant analogy . Do research, learn about production cars and then come up with relevant analogies. You even screwed up your original comparison - the Focus RS is about the same price as a base Mercedes C class - reading is your friend.
Well the GT350R is pretty dam close in performance to the GT3 RS, and all three of these cars are "track day" specials. So I'd say its a fair comparison. What isn't fair is that they didn't list a lap time...kind of a sin for this comparison in particular.
If I could comfortably afford either car and decided to buy one as a weekend or "fun" car only, it would be the Viper followed by the GT350R for its look and manual transmission.
Got excited when I was this video, then I watched it and decided not to subscribe. Far too many nonsensical complaints for cars only tested on the track. It's like what's good for one car is somehow bad for another ... I don't get it. The Porsche is praised for cutting weight (which they provided manufacturer claims for), yet the Viper cuts weight by removing sound deadening and speakers. Complaints. The GT3 RS interior is alacantra and carbon fiber, but guess what, so is the Viper's. Complaints. The bases Carrera has wind and tire noise, I would only assume this one is equal or worse and yet the Viper is loud? Like I said, I don't get it. Best car out of the bunch is the GT350R for practical reasons. My personal choice and favorite is the Viper. Irl the GT3 RS is a $300k car and then whatever stupid options Porsche charges you extra for. All 3 are exclusive, with the GT350R going for double MSRP. The Viper can be had with an upgraded H&K 12 speaker option, added sound deadeding, and the shifting is easy, but I will say the visibility will definitely be a problem for tall drivers. The Porsche is probably the most technological car of the three and achieves a lot with a little, the respect to power. But then the Viper eats $1M car at the track for ~$150k. All three will make any owner happy, I just think this review (just like 98% of all car reviews) is bias and nonsensical. . . . AND HAS NO TRACK TIMES! How tf are you gonna be scared to drive the RS and the Viper? >< grr!
Gotta love the soccer mom driving an ACR 😂 THE CONTRAST was hugely entertaining! I would love to drive an ACR around a track just once in my life please… God.

Grusilag Walter Röhrl says the GT3RS is better hes a real race car driver Randy's a B racer at best. I've drive the regular gt350, and the GT3RS that RS is a surgeons scalpel.
@@thof8287 Röhrls whole life has been paid by Porsche. Do you really think he'd say that the GT350R is cheaper than Porsches flagship at that time?
6:50 "the quicker you go, the faster it gets" now this sounded pretty weird lol
whoever launched the Mustang needs to go back to driving school
adbramsay whoever brought the mustang needs to be fired lol
At least show the cars leaving the line at the same time! Fire em for embarrassing the others? Could use a fraction of the saved $ to supercharge the GT350R to near 1000 hp, which the Shelby team invites with the lower price.
Yeah, it's like the mom who brought sandwiches was allowed to stay on and drive the Mustang to make the soy boy appear more manly.
the mustang is a nice swiss army knife, can enjoyably do it all, but not the best at any one thing, cheap and accessible to most people. the GT3 is a lightsaber, pinpoint, perfection, only available to the elite. the viper is a goddamn chainsaw
the Viper ACR for me.
N Ebreo In looks yes but in a track fuck no.
SMohinder, What? The ACR is actually the best “Track Car” here
Hey 👋🏻 I like you L
@@SMohinder Are you 12 years old, or naturally this ignorant?
Brilliant, thank you. Excellent review folks!! That was spectacular!!
The viper has always been my favorite car 🤗
The way they complained about the viper it’s a race car literally it’s only job is to eat it up on the track
Enjoyed the vid. GT3RS best all around. Viper best on track. GT350R best value.
EMME HALL!!! I remember when you did review's for roadfly! sorry, not tryna creep, i just remember watching you in videos when i was in middle school then you vanished, just to now pop up with some of my other favorite hosts, reviewing track monsters. good to see you back on in front of the camera!
"We'll hit the track in anger"
*doesn't hit the track at all and complains about the infotainment systems*
Mannnn they let meh down deeper than my dad 15 years ago
2:34 she called the canards dive planes 😂😂
The outcome was predetermined long before the review began. The GT3 RS won by just being there. It is like the iPhone. Incredibly popular even though it's hopelessly expensive. Everyone who does a comparison test chooses the GT3 RS in the end. Consistently. No matter what. I have yet to see a video where the GT3 RS loses.
YES! some one gets it. It's incredibly frustrating
chillout1109 *cough* GTR Nismo
eddieJDM100 Like I said, I have yet to see a comparison where the testers pick another car and the GT3 RS loses.
Wow she messed the Shelby's HP number up! It's 526, not 562. Although that would rock! lol
I mean yes the viper is faster for sure in the drag race but that launch in the Gt350r was just embarrassing
I wish i was rich. GT3RS for me
why? that thing isnt close still lol
it isnt what?
but u have a challenger photo lol
ITS NOT A MUSTANG GT350R ITS A SHELBY GT305R
DO AN EPISODE OF WHAT YOU DRIVE DAILY.
Dude from xcar shows what a good car channel can do. Imagine cooley, xcar dude, and one of the motor trend presenters
Srry for the 911 and stang fans but the Viper ACR is special, i take that beast !
Track car: Viper ACR
Everyday + track car: Porsche GT3RS
Cheap man's track car: Mustang GT350R
Don't get me wrong i like every car in this list and i would like to own them all. But if i could only pick one, i would pick the Porsche GT3RS.
the dodge vipa ac arrrrrrrrrr
salmondrin.
this one only proves yet again that Power isn't everything, one of the best comparo I've ever watched... Great work Roadshow, only the M4 GTS was missing though 🤔🤔🤔....
Check MotorTrend - the M4 GTS got beat pretty bad by all of the above on Laguna Seca with Randy Pobst behind the wheel.
Nick H thanks Nick... 👍
I found out what Ford's biggest performance flaw was having a female driver behind the wheel lol
i cant believe im about to say this, but i prefer the gt350r especially if you shop around for 1 at Msrp, its just super special.....
supercharger the gt350 game over and still have money for a house compare to just buying the vw beetle.
no one ever thought the winner wouldn't be the porsche. it was a matter of who is 2nd and 3rd.
562hp in the mustang? You guys are terrible at facts. You got the weight wrong for the GS corvette too.
Didn't they say it was some ridiculously light weight?
They also majorly flubbed the stopping distance and implied the Evora out-handled the GS.
I like this show amazing factual and not bias. to be honest I know the bloke with the glasses as I have followed him from his car shows from the UK amazing piece of kit. p s all 3 work well together and the glasses suit you bang on. awsome reveue
Horrible comparison, 60 thousand car vs a 200,000 car... You might as well compare a focus to a Mercedes-Benz C class or a BMW 3 series...
Clueless comment - check the specs not the prices then come back.
I know the specs, Its still comparing apples to oranges...You probably still live in yours mommas basement...Im sure she still tucks you in at night.
You don't know the specs, if you did you wouldn't of made an ignorant analogy . Do research, learn about production cars and then come up with relevant analogies. You even screwed up your original comparison - the Focus RS is about the same price as a base Mercedes C class - reading is your friend.
Nick H I think you were just call in the house to wash dishes, calm down and breathe..
Well the GT350R is pretty dam close in performance to the GT3 RS, and all three of these cars are "track day" specials. So I'd say its a fair comparison.
What isn't fair is that they didn't list a lap time...kind of a sin for this comparison in particular.
Wow. Great content guys, very nicely done.
excellent video!!
15:36 omg I was gripping my chair! I'm surprises the Porsche won but it was such a good race
Porsche for the win!";-)
Excellent review and cinematography!
If I could comfortably afford either car and decided to buy one as a weekend or "fun" car only, it would be the Viper followed by the GT350R for its look and manual transmission.
rockn roll exactly, people say the viper is unlivable with. Porshe all the way (if I had the money)
As a GT350 owner I have no complain about losing to GT3. Engine and chassis is just the best. Even it does have MT, i still fall in love with the GT3.
>< grr!
I don't have 200,000 plus, sooooo, I will keep my GT350.
So no Z-28? Yeah I guess that would be embarrassing. I would still pick the Viper it's the prettiest.
Gotta love the soccer mom driving an ACR 😂 THE CONTRAST was hugely entertaining! I would love to drive an ACR around a track just once in my life please… God.
Haven't watched yet. I'm just here to see if the GT350R can hang.
Everybody loves an underdog!
Unless you're unamerican, THEN you don't like an underdog.
These are track cars that are suppose to be doing laps around the track not drag racing.
I love Vipers, but I understand your choices.
my pick would be:
#1 ACR
#2 GT3rs
#3 GT350r
I do find it funny that they make fun of the ACR and praise the Porsche. But on any given track the ACR will be faster eight out of 10 times.
The WanskiZ All the journalists are scared of the Viper, only real race car drivers appreciate it. Definitely not a billionaires car.
Look at Nordschleife track times.
Whoever was "driving" the 350R against the Viper in the drag race was sleeping at the wheel good lord
Where's Randy Pobst when you need him?
So we now call suede, Alcantara and everyone gets so excited about it? Suede somehow became the must have premium material.
Come on, of course the king here is the : GT3RS.
Sirui Gu nope , Dodge Viper acr is the way better track car .
Not according to lap records, That is the ACR! and by far
Yan Jonson Well, there is only one racetrack that really matters. And thats not LC or another tiny track. Its the green hell :)
I bought a Viper ACR for the radio said nobody ever... lol 😆
I agree with the final ranking. That's my personal preference as well.
If i ever caught anyone driving an ACR with headphones in, i would immediately carjack them just on principle!
Revs to 8800 not 9k.
I test drove the gt350 R and man! that thing will throw you back. Definitely perfect car to roll race.
