500 is a street monster, 350r is a track monster! The Viper ACR and the 350r are perfect examples of brilliant American track focused cars. Both also look Insanely good with white black and red
Viper ACR yes. 350R not, especially when SS 1LE is as or faster than at all but the longest tracks which emphasize HP over chassis performance. Also, need to consider the PSC2s 350R comes on as well. Just not worth the extra $$$ and vodoo headaches if you are really tracking the car hard. Most folks will never exploit the available performance and just like to hear the engine sound and cruise. Which is fine, but really "one of the all time greats"? Not really.
@@FL50ssp in terms of driver engagement, noise, looks, and enjoyment the 350r is better in my opinion. Your opinion may be different, but everyone loves the 350r. It’s a brilliant machine, and I’m a lifetime mopar fan.
@@nathanmaynard131 Not sure everyone loves the 350r but ok if you want to believe that go ahead. As for driver engagement, Alpha chassis is so much better than 350r and that has been proven. If by driver engagement you are referring to an unsettled chassis when you begin to push the car hard. Then yes you are correct 350r is certainly more involved as you are having to correct for chassis shortcomings. Looks are subjective, as is sound. As for enjoyment, this is also subjective. But from my perspective, I'm very glad I passed on buying a 350r. I for one do not consider oil consumption, blown engines, horrible dealership experience/s as enjoyment. But to your point maybe some do and are willing to pay more for less. One day in the future the herd will see the 6th Gen Camaro for what it really is. Until then we can continue to disagree. Enjoy your 350r and I hope you aren't experiencing any of the typical issues with these cars.

This the car that can damn near bring a tear to a man’s eye 🥲
Uncontrollable giggling from Thomas. Great stuff.
The look on James's face the first time he revs it out is incredible. Plus Thomas's constantly giggling.
My favorite modern looking mustang, it looks so damn good and it sounds delightful! My top mustang forsure
I'm not even driving the car. Why can I not stop smiling? This car has no equivalent. Amazing.
As much as I like electric cars this is the thing I just don't know how we're going to live without. Engine noise matters.
This has to be one of the all time greats especially for its price range
Considering how much I love my 17 GT, I can only imagine how epic this car is..
I downsized a small collection to buy a 2017, 4 years old, with 32 miles. Now over 1000, and loving EVERY mile! One of a kind Mustang, and never again I would guess.
Man, Throttle House and Extra Throttle House videos are the best. Thanks, guys.
Love the genuine obvious friendship bond that comes across on your videos.
You can tell from watching this that Thomas really loves this car. James likes it too but you can see the enthusiasm great video guys that’s what driving is all about
This car checks so many happy boxes. It's the ultimate mustang, period...
@@FL50sspthe engine noise in the GT350R alone is better then a viper acr and ZL1 combined
@@FL50ssp 2 years later and all the 6th gen has is being discontinued, meanwhile the Gt350 is still highly sought after. All time great, indeed.
Outstanding ride. That VooDoo flat plane crank engine is is beautiful.
Thomas' laugh is infectious. I only half listened to what they said because I was laughing so much.
I got to drive one of these once. Mother of God! The noise it makes is just orgasmic!
I like both throttle house channels, glad you were able to give us both. Almost can't tell this is lower budge--
One of the best mustangs ever made!
As a owner of this car it’s crazy how amazing it feels to be driving this thing and the amount of smiles it puts on my face . Very happy owner :)
I shat on one today with my c63s, he tried to keep up with me but eventually gave up!!!
Ford hit the money with this one! I'm not a Ford fan but this car is a definite want.
The revving almost reminds me of a Yamaha R6. It goes so freakin high that you almost don't want to rev it all the way out because you feel like you're going to instantly break it
I like the calm of the extra throttle house. Also the video quality on the main channel is amazing. Keep at it
Dream car man 😭 even if I can just get my hands on a normal GT350, these cars are so special ❤️
it was already so expensive you guys just had to give it an amazing review and make the prices go up
I don't know what I enjoyed more: the expected sounds from the Voodoo 5.2 or the expressions of absolutely blissful driving Nirvana coming from the both of you.
James's face when the opened it up first was funny as hell, very similar to my expression every single time I hear that engine. Seriously, though, what a noise!! 🤤
I was searching for "mustang gt throttle house review" just right now, and I see this video. What a timing!
Indeed!
I much prefer the one take feel of these videos actually. Feels much more genuine and less scripted.
James, as a former Hollister manager, I love seeing that seagull on your shirts. Cheers.
The expressions on your faces were amazing. 🤣 Love your vids
Thomas kept me smiling through the whole video.
The beautifull noise of a V8
My dad has a gt350 ( regular ) and we’re doing work to it we have a full headers and cat back system on it right now and that’s about it right now and an e85 tune, but he drives it as much as he possibly can and h absolutely loves it and so do I, truly a special and unique car
Best sounding, best looking and best Mustang imo!
I’m partial to Mopar but....the gt350 and 350R are insane track-shredding monsters that I would gladly own and enjoy...They look and sound angry af...Ford got these cars right. Well done 👍🏻
I've been waiting for this!!!!!! Gt350R!!!!!!!!
It's not often that you guys get that raw kind of exhilaration from driving a car. There's usually something that has held the burst of fun-emotion back. You guys didn't really do that with this, which, of course, to the car. It may not be the fastest thing on a track (but it's close), but it gave you a lot to smile about. Always good. Thanks for this. It must've been fun to make.
That Mustang is my dream car. I was about to buy one a few months ago, but the deal felt fishy on that specific one. But man, it is just such a proper car!
GT350R owner here, can't believe I haven't watched this in depth till now. I previously had a 2015 GT that I added the stage 2 Ford track kit & very staggered Sport Cups to, and found that I couldn't slide that car either. I thought it was all in my head but I guess not!
Don’t forget guys.....that Voodoo sound IS part of the mustang interior. Therefore its priceless 😁
I've watched just about every video you guys have posted and I don't believe I've seen either of you ENJOY a car as much as this one...
New Throttle House, and a cup of coffee is my favorite way to start the day, and I'm loving these track tests. But... you guys haven't done a legit car review in a while. Starting to kinda miss those...
Haven’t we? On the main channel?
@@jamesengelsman9369 I know you guys have access to a track now, which is AWESOME. I can't compliment you and Thomas enough, I just hope the two of you don't get too sucked into the track. It's excellent content, and you guys seriously do an amazing job, but I prefer the car reviews to the track tests.
@@SL4PSYM4XY I hear ya. definitely a few of those coming up. Next one is the 2022 Genesis G70 I believe. But the one before that has a road and track segment. We definitely don’t want to become the “track channel.” But there’s certainly some pent up energy from a winter of crossovers.
@@jamesengelsman9369 haha! That’s totally understandable. I’ll be looking forward to it. Oh and I’d regret not saying this, since I have your ear, so here it goes. My family owns one of the most famous restaurants in Indianapolis. So if you like Indy car, and you’re ever in town for the race, I’d happily comp a dinner. It would be an honor to host you at Bazbeaux!
@@SL4PSYM4XY would love to! If we are ever in town we will be there. Might insist on paying tho
The most visceral experience available in almost any price range from Ford or any manufacture!
Agree. But the haters are gonna complain that it's not a Porsche.
The GT350R is glorious.
The not being able to side it around is an S197 chassis thing, not just a GT350 thing. Even my '08 GT was like that. When you start tho get sideways, it either grips and snaps back straight or goes all the way around. I could never steer mine with the throttle, unlike my SN95 ( '03 Mach 1).
So, its not even a steering-based problem? If not that, what it is, then? He mentioned that the steering felt like it locked, what could have that been.
You guys really need to do a actual full video on the main channel with this car...
