I know it's not the fastest most powerful muscle car but for me is all about the balance, history, heritage, enjoyment, and sheer presents. Awesome piece of machinery Mr. Shelby would definitely approve.
Says the guy who makes the best off roading videos on youtube. Keep up the good work. The best part of these motor week vehicles... the opening and the narrator's voice. I have been watching these since the mid 80s.
BEUTIFUL! Well done Ford. Well done. IMHO this is the pinnacle of Mustangs with a perfect blend of performance and balance and made even sweeter with that 6 speed manual. Shelby Mustang GT350 you will be missed :(
+Nick Parker No car deserves to be parked. Unfortunately all the collectors seem to care about is value of the car, when the real value is found on the road.
+Nick Parker Well believe it or not, Ferrari would never let you buy a new one if you put that many miles on one you managed to purchase new from them. They have this thing about not putting any miles on their cars and that goes into who is allowed to continue to purchase their new models. I agree with you, though I would rather put a million miles on this car than any Ferrari.
My friend has put over 150k kilometers on his S2K since he picked it up in '07. The car wears each kilometer like a badge of honor, and each kilometer more just continues the car's story.
Well, I disagree with that comment, I bought my 2017 GT350R November 27th, it is my daily driver and sits outside in front of the garage, not to mention I am far from being a "Rich" dude......
This is what happens when lobbyists control the "free market" and dealers being greedy its bad enough the GT350R is based on the mustang with its shit interior and terrible build quality but for another 10k thats wayyy too much
+TheArfdog it bothers me because they price a car like this out of reach for a lot of people out of pure greed. That's why the dealer Association is going so hard after Tesla. When you buy a Tesla you buy it directly from the manufacture. No bullshit mark up from a dealer. Believe me I understand people have to make a living, but the mark a $60,000 car into six-figure range is completely ridiculous.
+Rob lytle Its the power of special Fords, 7 years down we wont even see big v8s, cuz everythin s gonna die out by 2020, so in that time cars like these r gonna fetch owners 2x-3x dealer prices, Fords dealers kno that and thats what makes em sell with even such monstrous price tags Add to it Ford has way better brand image than FCA and GM, if not such a price tag wouldnt have brought customers to Ford, I ve seen some dealers trying such stuff with Z28 and end resut was it stayed in dealers lots, while Ford is selling like hot cakes
+Steven Simpkins actually it will maintain peak HP at 8000rpm, HP TUNERS even released a tune for the 5.0L automatics that manipulates the TiVCT so that it keeps making power at 8000rpm. there is a lot of 5.0 coyote engines being spun 8000Rpm+ it will probably not last as long as a flat plane crank unless the top end gets built properly.
Those tires were worned out! So fast! I bet they cost 2000 dollars to replace! I am happy with my 2012 boss 302, much cheaper to maintain and is fast also and sounds great!
I'd get a GT 350. Would prefer some music. Probably the best sounding production car out to me. Love it. But yes, most dealerships are charging $65k plus and that isn't for the R ones either.
i know man, i saw 2 base GT350 for $75k man in central florida, MSRP for the base is around $47k, Ford has to tell these dealership to come the fuck down, but can you buy one straight from the factory instead of the dealers?
+scterka Dude thats because Fords brand value is way above what the competition can imagine of, trysuch bump ups for Chevy or Dodge nobody ll turn to the dealer, whereas for special Ford vehicles like GT350,350R, Ford Raptor, Ford GT, upcoming Focus RS, all will have resales 2x-3x times its sticker price within 7 years, thats why such prices still get buyers for Ford, Heck I say Ford even though is not best seller in USA has better image than GM and FCA
+Ponygt 662 No it's because GM and Dodge will build as many as people would buy but Ford likes to artificially limit production numbers for their Hi-Po cars which is a pretty good business model I'll give em that.
Tericainyaass ™ See even if GM said it will sell just 1000 Z06s people wont stock over and drool over it and the price wont go as high as Fords prices go Ford even though it seems like a weaker brand in some peoples mind is a more powerful brand, in fact Ford is the most powerful American brand by a long shot www.forbes.com/powerful-brands/list/#tab:rank Check this list, Ford is almost in the neck of Audi in brand power, I know its difficult to digest but once we get to Europe you will understand what I mean, in Europe GM has 0 image, and we all know how much quality fed people Europeans are and the only US brand that survived Europe is Ford, they are 4th best seller in Europe too, best is VAG,2nd PSA, 3rd Renault-Nissan group. But more than sales the image Ford has made with cars like Fiesta,Focus,Mondeo and specially their sporty derivatives is so damn huge that GM/Dodge cannot come evn close to it, and most people know that investing in a special Ford is only likely to appreciate in value rather than depreciate That said I am not telling GM/FCA is weak but they too are damn cool, but Fords brand power is strong, it wont take a beating that easily

But the Flat Cranks burn oil big time. Car- Drivers Burn a extra 21.5 Qts, of 5w-50 in 40,000 miles. Fords owner's manual stating that the. Engine might consume a quart every 500 miles.
+Emerald13 Limited allocations. Big dealers get 6 or 7, small dealers that sign up get 1 or 2. Depends on mustang sales, so the truck only dealers won't see them. Thats for the normal GT350. I have to think what carol Shelby would've thought if he was here to see this. :(
He might puke his guts out after he sees that dealer mark-up...
$63,495 you're not going to pay anywhere close to that for one of these.
So I've heard and that's a damn shame...I'm sorry but Ford has been a disappointment for many years.
Now you will 😂 and for less too
I love this car it's a Japanese Ferrari!!!!!
Haha hedge fund manager
hi xd
Even at 15k mark up its the best track car in the world at that price. If you can't pony up the money to get one, work harder. It's not a 200k car..
Love it! Ford seems to be a step or so behind GM in the suspension dept...Reviewers always glowing about all the Camaro ride/handling set up. Just sayin!
It's just a much better engineered car than the Mustang. I don't don't know if $ is what's holding Ford back lol
And yet, here you chevy tards are, at the Ford Mustang GT350R review. Speaks volumes..
Would rather have the zo6 vette
would rather have the 2017 Ford GT.

A Camaro SS with 455 hp runs a 12.3 as well.
It also has more torque than the shelby 455>429..
I've been 12.28@115.7 mph in my stock 2020 1SS 1LE. 1500 miles on the clock and that is NLS 2nd, quick lift for 3rd, and NLS 4th. 23psi in rear tires.
Yeah but, that 119 mph trap speed tells ya that it is easily a 11 second car!
That flat-plane crank shaft ,weights about 54lbs!!!! Ferrari weights around 30lbs!!¡! Come on Ford??? Too heavy!!!!!
Not enough torque in my opinion
not enough torque? You surely didn't expect 600ft/ lbs did you ? it's naturally aspirated!!
+Mustang I dindn't expect 600 ft-lb, I know this is N/A, but you got N/A engines with much more torque, like the 392 Hemi. Maybe it's because this ford engine is so small, but still it's not enough torque for a muscle car
+Dave The Cop My bad. The mustang is a sports car so the torque is enough
+Dave The Cop
Its enough. Got to drive it to understand.
+Eric Witte It's enough for a sports car like this, I just forgot the Mustang was no longer a burnout and drag strip muscle car, or even a pony car.
Beautiful car but I'm I the only person who doesn't like the exhaust?
Yes.
+Corvette King not the only person, c6 zr1 was best /watch?v=U5-3zDGf8d4

Co.paring apples to oranges bro!
this thing is almost $20k more and this thing does 0-60 and 1/4 mile the same as the 455hp 2016 camaro ss ... umm ok
this car is about handling, its geared for road courses so that it can deliver its power smoothly, just like the Z/28. the Z/28 has a huge 7.0L and its even slower than the GT350.

Lol good one
Ya want it faster get the GT500 but for carving up the street this is plenty of power if you know what your doing!
90 percent of drivers will short shift it , no one is used to a 8 grand red line, cars only real issue to me.
radioguy1620 that's not an issue that a plus....there are plenty of drivers that are use to a car that revs that high
maybe so but probably not among the older folks who can afford one . dont get me wrong i just saw or rather heard one go by the other day and my all time favorite, a high revving engine requires you to make a commitment to go fast a lower rev torque motor , not so much .
