Awhile later Carol Shelby took the Mustang and turned it into a street legal race car straight from the factory called the Shelby GT350. This is the latest version of Shelby’s legacy and the thing is absolutely amazing. The current Mustang is a pretty good looking car but the new GT350 pumps up the aggression volume. One look at all the exterior pieces and you can tell right away this is not an ordinary Mustang.
Under the hood is a 5.2 liter V-8 engine making 529 horsepower and 429 lb-ft. of torque. Inside there is GT350 badging, Recaro seats, a sporty steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara, and a short-throw shifter. Base price is $47,795.

Negative is that the dealers know there is a market demand issue with a phenomenal limited production car. The mark ups are outrageously high well beyond msrp. . Europeans has everybody agreeing on their benchmark pricing for a sportscar. Car enthusiast know what they are getting for their hard earned $. 2016 performance car of the year Road & Track. 2016 Drivers car of the year awarded 2nd place, beat out by a $200,000+ Mclaren 570S.
240fxst but it only takes 20 mins of negotiation to convince them to start pricing at MSRP, people are to lazy nowadays to work for their deal. I'm picking up my 17' GT350 at MSRP in the next few weeks, already have the price locked down I think I can even shave off a few more thousand from now till the day I write the check. Wish me luck!
Did he say that the Shelby GT350 first came out in 1969? It came out in 1965, dude.

Very first things FIRST. There is NO 1964-1/2 model year! Ford put out the 1965 Mustang model and a bunch of people years later started calling the first few months 1964-1/2 to differentiate minor mid year production changes but Ford NEVER made a 1964-1/2 model year Mustang and that is a fact and you can go look it up. After that, I love my '16 GT350.

First you must understand "mass production" before making that statement.......
Seems like the gt350r is a mass produced car compared to a koenigsegg ford produces 500 per year that is definitely mass production for those wheels I don’t see those wheels accessible to a car buyer before the mustang

"Gt350R spanked both the 1LE" i never compared the 1LE to the R, also the Z/28 is out of production. keep in mind the lap times on the nurbo, leguna seca, and VIR. the 1LE has trashed the GT350 and now the ZL1 trashed the R. ;) #LearnYourCarFacts
justin bouche ZL1 definitely did not trash the R kid, know what you're actually talking about. I'm not even a huge fan of the R, but it's definitely faster and nicer than a POS camaro
Kid check the nurbo time. Zl1 fucked it. Kiddio also check the lap time for vir, leguna, and big willow where the 1le trashed the gt350

Cooler than a Camaro SS though I like the Camaro's slitty windshield and overall look. Mustang is prettier but less funky.
Why did he even mention the $100k+ BMW which I think the mustang beat at the Car and Driver challenge.
The first production car to get carbon fiber wheels is the koenigsegg Agera.
They made 5 Agera S examples and 18 Agera R examples. Are you really going to count that? Koenigsegg is amazing.
But it's more amazing that a Mustang has CF wheels...

So the SS is an alright car but the technology in the gt350's engine alone is worth the extra money. A 5.2L v8 that revs to 8250 rpm is just so different from the engines in any other american car. Then once you figure in the more complex suspension the price tag starts to make sense. I'd say that the Camaro 1LE or Z28 would be a better match for the 350
