  • The list of legendary Ford Mustangs is a long one. And debates about who belongs at the top of that list will go on forever. Well, time to make room for one more on the debate stage, as the most powerful street-legal Ford ever, has a few points to make.

Part of the experience is manually shifting gears and for us old school mustang lovers that love driving manuals believe there is more control over the vehicle and this is part of the experience. Don't get me wrong this GT500 is still the baddest car on the road and the track! I would even compare it to the Ford GT and would rather own a GT500 over the for GT due to price but would be happy to own either or even both. Ford needs to make some manual transmission versions and not charge more for them.

Stangmode was there in Vegas with you and got a 10.8 at 133.
    Somebody else got a 10.6
The issues I saw is most of you for some reason tried to murder the back tires when you really want to just do a quick light burnout to clean the tires.
To top that issue off the cars were run hot and never had a chance to cool down and the temp outside was hot as well.
And the last issue was the dragstrip was 2000ft above sea level which that alone changes to a sea level track
    .2 - .3 difference.
So take the times that some ran there like stangmode 10.8 at 133.
At a good track with cool weather and a cooled down motor at sea level Stangmode would or could probably pulled out a 10.4 area at 136mph
At slicks and your looking at 10.0's to 10.10's.
Put a tune on that same care with E85 and your in the 9's!!!

Tho with the more power increase it might still be to much for any young adult to handle, so the price will balance that it so teenagers can't get their hands on it, which was mostly the cause of all those Mustang accidents in the past, not only that but Mustangs are cheap when compared to other powerful cars for the same quality, which is why it sells so well, as it's in fact the best selling sports car in the world. It also didn't have IRS steering back then in those older models. So basically; A cheap yet very powerful car that sold by the millions (which we already addressed that the more of something there is, the more of that something will happen to it), with no IRS steering, and stupid teenagers trying to show off in front of their friends with their parents car or that bought their cars just only spells disaster really. @@4rdF1Hunny on a side-note have you seen the 64 289 COBRA they found in Pennsylvania the other day?
If I was filthy disgusting rich, who knows I might even want to swap that cobra with this power train just to piss the collectors off. 👿😈

My only con is that shifter knob. I would change that. Everything else is all positive, especially the price. What a steal.
