As a S650 Gt owner you wouldn’t think there’s something better until they made this and man this is the true definition of what a Mustang should be! I love this!!!
Lots of folks saying it's just a set of badges and a blower, but the amount of OEM-level engineering that went into it is insane compared to previous Super Snakes. Glad to see some great coverage of this car by Larry.

I don't know when exactly it happened but this is the video I really noticed it in: changing from shooting interviews in a selfie-style to a POV style is way better to watch, and it seems to make the guests more comfortable too. I really like this format for interviews, it's like being talked to by the owner/builder directly.
I’ll take this over any of the fancy Italian cars out there. This design, and the ones before it, really capture the legacy and the rich history of Shelby American.

As an S550 owner, I haven't been in love with the S650 like I was with the S550. I mean the S550 pulls so much beauty thanks to the older Aston Martin Styling (iykyk). The Dark Horse when I first saw it was an improvement but still missed the mark with me. This updated design though... really has me questioning life choices right now (in order to see what I can do to afford it). Really has me curious as to what's to come next (Shelby GT which is normally what I prefer, GT350, and GT500).

@@Tikbalang5.0 nah dude, they literally worked on the internals of the Godzilla and the Megazilla on stock conservative tuning makes 615hp, throw a 3.8L Whipple stage 5 and you're easily making 1,000+ honestly I'd pay GTD pricing for that, it's worth it, and it's a REAL Mustang
One thing I"ve always remembered from Chip Foose on builds & engine swaps..,he said ..:' if you want a reliable car with performance'..keep that engine bay & motor as cool as possible'..!!..heat control & cooling is the key....
I toured the facility last year and it was absolutely insane how clean and meticulously laid out it is, it’s like a manufacturer rather than an aftermarket tuning company. I’m not a Shelby circle jerker but if I see one on the road it’ll definitely brake my neck😂

When they were talking about the sound of the Shelby Super Snake,, if you've ever heard one of them on the street there's NOTHING that sounds like them. The first time I heard one it was a block in front of me leaving the traffic light. "OMG that's a Shelby!" I exclaimed,, I scrambled through the other cars in front of me hoping to catch up hoping beyond hope the driver didn't turn off the street we were on. I caught it,, followed about two or three car lengths behind then changed lanes to get a different look,, LOVING the incredible sound. As I rolled up beside it in my Toyota Matrix,, muc and to to my surprise and enjoyment I saw a white haired senior (just like me!) gent driving and imagined what it must be like to be settled into those cool seats, surrounded by the Mustang interior, taking it through the gears feeling the incredible performance under your butt,, the feel of the wheel and shift knob,, WOW. Would a Shelby Super Snake need a radio?? Delete it. The exhaust note is the music.
One of my favorite programs is “graveyard cars” it’s awesome to see these generations to share the knowledge & to geek out over the design & performance is cool to hear the degree of commitment & dedications ✌🏻🤧👍🏻

Hats off to Shelby America for getting this done! I'm a Chevrolet guy through and through, but sweet Jesus this one wicked car! So so happy to see that they went with a manual transmission option. Only sad that there won't be a Camaro to try and rival this. Sad story, but I'm so happy to see Shelby taking the reins on this. Congratulations to the team at Shelby!
You've mentioned balance. I cannot expect nothing less than perfect suspension kinematics. A state of the art coilover solution among else. And lots of brakes. Can't wait.
I will never own one of these but I'm so glad they offer it in both manual and auto trannys. I've been driving manual cars and trucks since 1987. A few years ago I noticed that I was missing shifts on my 02 SVT Focus due to complications with diabetes. I'm so glad other people will not be deterred from not buying due to the manual tranny.

As a car enthusiast I’ve had many cars from all categories not just one auto maker. It’s best to experience what each type of car has to offer before deciding on what you like best. My GT-R was my dream car until I owned one and found out what I didn’t like about it. Every car has plus and minus areas. Hard to find the sweet spot. I’ve found it for me but it took me 35 years and 70+ cars to do so. I’ve been into this a lifetime and never owned a Scion my friend, not even to put the groceries in. I’d also find it hard to drop 150k on this when the new ZR1 is out this summer.

@@matthewvillalba The Tremec 6spd is weaker than the mt82.. It is a lightweight built trans with hollow shafts, and lightweight gears.. The 3160 destroys itself like glass when you boost a GT350.. Just because it says Tremec, does not mean strong, T56 & TR6060 are much stronger than the junk Ford trans.. The GT500 Tremec DCT is garbage too.
This is what my dream passion work would have been. I could have been designing for GM, but my heart would not have been in it. I HAVE BEEN FORD FOREVER.

Great car but it's price is too high.You are able to order a mustang gt for around $43,000.Get the magna ride suspension.Then spend $10,000 for the factory Whipple supercharger.The whipple will boast the horsepower to 800 or more horsepower.That total is about $53,000 or so for a 800 plus horsepower mustang gt.

The GT 350 was a Tremec, pretty sure this is as well.
