M4 and m3 xDrive is just on another level once u add an aftermarket grille like CSL,Vorstiener, and adro body kit and grille. It's tech and luxury is on another planet this generation compared to this dark horse and its direct competition in mercedes and audi. G80 is best m3 bmw has ever made in frozen black and aftermarket kit. Kies Motorsports created a decent kit for it aswell. This guy said the mustang is a better performing car when the bmw m3 and m4 xDrive is faster in a quarter mile and a roll race. Faster around the actual race track Nurumbring. Not a 1:20 sec lap that doesn't prove much. Has better handling, speed , and braking. 😂 Hell u even had a race where the m3 and m4 little brother the freakn m2 beat the dark horse in a straight line race. 😂 Comparing their interior ans tech is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. BMW gives u carbon fiber bucket seats, carbon fiber across the dash and exterior, HUD that displays rev counter, MPH,and music or maps, full self driving that works better then teslas, auto park for parallel parking and regular that works flawless. 360 cam. Higher quality buttons that look and feel good to press. Panoramic screen across the dash not a cheesy little screen. I love the mustang too but this guy is always biased with the car he's reviewing. He said the dark horse was it's own car but yet mentioned how the mustang copied the m4 exact body style 😂
I think the production does its job very well. Whether it's 5 10 or 20 people who are hired to make this look very good, they still know their job and know how to make it look flawless. I'm really glad that I can watch the videos more than once. The greatest respect from me.🎉
Especially with the subtitles, for those that don't watch the videos with subtitles on, do it, lots of hilarious commentary there, whoever writes those jokes it's appreciated!
@@anydaynow01 What I came down to say. The sub-titles are hilarious and made me double play sections so I could read them. Love all the old videos. Craig Singhaus clip on the Fox body retro-vision was great. Best production on the net. There is a reason they won Gold at the 44th Telly awards. Also the reason I selected Hagerty for my collector, reason I joined the Hagerty Drivers Club and reason I just ordered a Lucid.

Hey Haggerty, thanks for having Jason on your team. He has become my favorite car reviewer by a long shot, and your production quality with his knowledge and dedication to presentation is a killer recipe. I just wish you guys had daily driver policies. If that were the case, you guys would have already sold me some insurance by now lol
I’ve never watched a full episode of any review without fast forwarding. This I watched from start to finish. I’ve had 9 mustangs and you taught me more about the mustang name in half hour than I’ve learned in 35 years. Great watch !!!!!
What they need to do is take the SS 1LE platform, give it a more modern look, and more glass. Then take the GEN4 Coyote out the Mustang DH, along with the DH brakes, put them in the Alpha platform with the Camaros TR6060 inplace of the DH's POS TR3160 or whatever it's called, that trans still handles big boost HP like chit. That would be the perfect car.
They did a drag race between the dark horse an the challenger scat pack shake down nd the dark horse barely won. Just bout the same power, weighs alot less and a lot more aerodynamic…. Not to mention it had a lot better tires on it too.
Jason is rapidly becoming my favorite gearhead. The content he's been producing with Hagerty like the icons series is absolutely stellar. Hope we keep seeing bigger and better things. Would love to see you and Larry Chen team up on something. Hagerty is on point with the people they choose.
The fact that this is free is astonishing, the editing is the best out there atm no questions asked. Amazing content! I’m a die hard Munich fan but that mustang is absolutely amazing.
What Martin Scorsese is to the film industry, Jason Cammisa is to automotive journalism and RUclips. a new masterpiece. Hagerty is by far the best channel when it comes to cars and motorsport.💯💪🏼🔥
As an S550 PP owner, this video was just spectacular. I would love to own a Dark Horse, but that price is..hmmm.... a bit to pricey. This was just a flat out great video. Editing is always spot on when Jason is in it. Outstanding work to all involved.
Great video and editing was spot on I enjoyed the entirety of the video. have a face-lifted s550 non pp pack. I kind of regret not getting the pp1 pack. Do you think its worth it?
@CahtzHD you can make yours just as good if not better with the proper mods based on what you're willing to spend..and you can prob make it equally as good while spending a bit less cash than you would've for the PP from the dealership.
@@EricJh21690 true but as you said, as much as you are willing to spend. I am at about 500hp with bolt on's at the moment. Being that I am in Germany and able to use the power, can't go too crazy as German vehicle inspections are crazy tough without the paperwork saying that the parts are specifically for your car. Even then, gotta factor in crazy expensive gas in Europe too. Over $100.00 for a full tank.
I'm so glad the comments are realizing that this is the best channel. I actually became irritated when I saw someone say that this channel is a "good channel." Saying that this is merely "good" is an understatement.
I have never watched something from this channel that I didn’t love, but this is by far one of the best episodes they have put out in my opinion. These dudes get it.
This video is a lesson on car cinematography! 1000 times better than a movie like Gran turismo, really an amazing piece to see, congrats to all the team behind! ⚡🎉🏆
Coming from a Camaro and Firebird fan, this video was great! Props to the Mustang and all the good it has done, and will continue to do. Some day I will add an 87-93 to my collection.

I love both the M4 and the Dark Horse...both soooo nice and good looking cars. Fun to drive and fast. I had a Ford Mustang GT 2018 now driving a BMW M340i...both have their pros and cons.
22:26 Such a great segment! The coordination and skill that went into making that happen is impressive. Another entry in the "Hagerty and Cammisa make the best content on RUclips" file.
I simply cannot believe how good these films are. And yes, these are films, not mere RUclips videos... and they rank among the best automotive content ever produced. By anyone.
I loved mustang since I was a kid but never knew some of the facts explained here, now I cant stop thinking about it..... this channel is amazing as usual!!!!!! Epic!!!!
I was born 1982. I grew up on Top Gear. In my opinion, this video has permanently cemented you guys into the TOP spot... Ahead of Top Gear.... Absolutely incredible cinematography, sound and editing. Jason carries this even better than the boys could have, and that's saying something.
I think most will agree Hagerty makes the best & most detailed car videos. Most other channels cant put the time & money with the high quality editing & production that they do! Big thumbs up. Now let's see more racing! videos! 👍
This is the highest quality, information packed, and enlightened automotive content anywhere. Period. Thank you Hagerty for supporting this content, and thank you Jason for being such a Renaissance car dude!
As someone who worked at Ford as an engineer and drove a Mustang for a few years, I’m so excited for this video! Love the Mustang as always, but I know Jason will fairly critique it! As we all should
Very cool, yeah, it's clear the engineers at Ford care about what they do. I can't think of a single brand that has as much variety in its lineup, everything from a genius hybrid compact pickup, to a next level sports car, and does it all well. The only way Ford could get any cooler, is if they offered a mid engine mustang c8 rival.
The panache and polish of this series is always marvelous. Thoughtful planning, style, and details throughout; did you watch with the Closed Captioning on? 😉 Fantastic presentation of this American Icon!
I don't know about which car is actually better but what I know is there's no car channel better than Hagerty. The content, writing, pace of the video and effects... This video is another solid proof of this statement. Period. Thank you for being there and creating these eye candies for us, car lovers. Happy new year ahead.

Jason and the Icons is possibly the best content on youtube. Just an absolute banger every time. Jason is the best and the cinematography has me captured the entire time. Amazing work. More please!
Production on these videos are so damn good. It's hard not to fall in love with a Mustang in some way, shape, or form once you have that first experience with one. I love that they're becoming more and more known for how they handle around tracks, while still maintaining that fun, straight-line dominance. That final quote at the end as well was brilliant. Amazing depiction of an amazing story that is the Ford Mustang 🙌
I hope Jason and Hagerty never stop making amazing content, nothing else compares!!! The production, the commentary, and the comedic elements are perfection!!
My first Introduction to the Jason and Hagerty was the cybertruck episode but I have to admit these ICON episodes are awesome. It reminds me of kicking back with my dad on Saturday. All those other car shows have lost that magic. Thanks for another great episode
I love that the Ford Probe is included in this video. Somebody knows their stuff. Definitely part of mustang history. I have an '89 GT for 20 years now.
Absolutely fantastic video! As an owner of a restomod Foxbody my intention was to have A Fox that could brake, handle, and enough power to keep a great balance. I had a GT as a Senior in High School in 1996. Local had an e30 M3 that I was always in love with. After being stationed in Germany 🇩🇪 from 2000-2002 I was fortunate to get a a ride in a e46 M3 that our Squadron Support Commander had bought. After that ride it changed the way I felt about balance. Years later in 2009 picked up a 93 GT and built her right. I also owned a 19 Gt350, 21 Mach 1 HP, and just got a 24 Darkhorse with HP. You guys absolutely nailed it. One of the best videos I have seen🫡

Nothing to do with Mustang or Ford. It's simply what their customers buy. Almost every other market have next to no interest in a manuasl
@@Corbots80 Dodge killed the Challenger/Charger to save money. Ford likely could’ve done the same
Both the M4 and the Mustang did well at Le Mans this year, finishing 2nd and 3rd. Behind the 911, completely dusting the competition.
Every single video just keeps getting better and better!! Production, writing, sound...everything is just flawless!
Bravo to the whole Hagerty team, It's such a privilege to have this quality ! Jason Cammisa is killing it !
While I thoroughly enjoyed the entire video, the shots of the fox and E30 M3 side by side where just automotive perfection!
The fact that the Mustang has officially outlived both the Camaro and the Challenger is a depressing victory.
They always come and go
Outlived them twice for now.
@@kenphilpot1903They’re gone when they lost the V8 and came back when they got the V8.
They did a drag race between the dark horse an the challenger scat pack shake down nd the dark horse barely won. Just bout the same power, weighs alot less and a lot more aerodynamic…. Not to mention it had a lot better tires on it too.
Somehow it seems with each passing Jason Cammisa episode, the production quality continues to get higher! Outstanding video.
That might be the best Mustang video I have ever seen. Well done!!
Jason is rapidly becoming my favorite gearhead. The content he's been producing with Hagerty like the icons series is absolutely stellar. Hope we keep seeing bigger and better things. Would love to see you and Larry Chen team up on something. Hagerty is on point with the people they choose.
Seriously, one of the most informative, entertaining, and well produced series out there.
Mustang will be special for me always. Thanks for this superb video.
The fact that this is free is astonishing, the editing is the best out there atm no questions asked. Amazing content! I’m a die hard Munich fan but that mustang is absolutely amazing.
shhhh please 🙏
Is it just me or does every new video Cammisa puts out raises the bar EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.?
This was better than many of the movies I'll never get hours of my life back on. Holy crap! Good job, Jason, Randy and Company! You guys rock!
What Martin Scorsese is to the film industry, Jason Cammisa is to automotive journalism and RUclips. a new masterpiece. Hagerty is by far the best channel when it comes to cars and motorsport.💯💪🏼🔥
a lot of that credit goes to Anthony Esposito.
Randy's presence is very underrated here, I demand more screentime for him.🙂
This is so far ahead of every other car show in terms of production value, amazing!
I'm so glad the comments are realizing that this is the best channel. I actually became irritated when I saw someone say that this channel is a "good channel." Saying that this is merely "good" is an understatement.
This was better than watching a movie…the story telling and quality of the production are simply amazing. Well done Hagerty! 👏
What an amazing, quality video👏👏👏👏👏👏🍿🎥🏆 this video has all the horse power you can ask for. Well done. Keep them coming.
The idea implementation, the cenimatic shots, the production of quality, the duo of jason and randy ,the mini movie of history of mustangs all hit the perfect note all at once, one after other.... this is ridiculously good .
This channel is becoming the must watch channel on YT for car lovers. The production quality anty keeps being raised and I can't wait to see what your next videos have in store. Excellent work to all involved in making these.
This is insane for a YT channel, literally movie like quality, great ford documentary for the dark horse 🐎
Whoever is your sound engineer deserves a raise. Listening through headphones adds another dimension. The cross-fade Fox body exhaust is 🔥
That 'the more you know' moment was AMAZING. Thank you.
I even love the closed-caption humor. The Hagerty team is running on all cylinders.
That Gen of 302 Boss is still so damn cool.
As a mustang driver and photographer this video is bloody perfect. Hit the nail on the head and nailed what makes mustangs well mustangs. God bless.
I love both the M4 and the Dark Horse...both soooo nice and good looking cars. Fun to drive and fast.
I had a Ford Mustang GT 2018 now driving a BMW M340i...both have their pros and cons.
These videos feels so remarkable, almost like a scene from a movie cinematic masterpiece. 🙌🏼
Sooo much better than fast and furious.
This isn't just a RUclips video: it's art. The sound, the visuals... massive MASSIVE respect to the camera, sound, and editing crew. Beautifully done.
From the UK, you have got to be one of the best car reviewers on RUclips in my opinion
I love watching this channel
I liked your comment, but they are 2 different things. Both excellent. Just in their own ways.
It's a blatant TG ripoff
The boys are still doing good but their production is not on yt anymore.
The 2012 Boss 302 looks absolutely phenomenal
I think most will agree Hagerty makes the best & most detailed car videos. Most other channels cant put the time & money with the high quality editing & production that they do! Big thumbs up. Now let's see more racing! videos! 👍
24:00
The look on his face like he lost control or got scared ....
PRICELESS
This is the highest quality, information packed, and enlightened automotive content anywhere. Period. Thank you Hagerty for supporting this content, and thank you Jason for being such a Renaissance car dude!
Thiss literally the best youtube vid ive ever seen
I just watched this again two months later. This intro was absolutely EPIC. This is maximum RUclips. Great job!
Again, if you do not watch these with closed caption on, you are missing out. What a bunch of hidden gems in there.
Thanks for the reminder. I scrolled through the transcript after I was done to catch the stuff added in cc.
OMG, Randy's M4 drift about 24 minutes in... XD
Y'all knocked another one out the park!!! Anything with Jason Cammisa and Randy Pobst is incredible!
I help fund these videos by having Hagerty insure my two Mustangs 🤣But seriously, awesome video! The channel has the highest quality content on YT.
I don't know about which car is actually better but what I know is there's no car channel better than Hagerty. The content, writing, pace of the video and effects... This video is another solid proof of this statement. Period.
Thank you for being there and creating these eye candies for us, car lovers. Happy new year ahead.
M4 and m3 xDrive is just on another level once u add an aftermarket grille like CSL,Vorstiener, and adro body kit and grille. It's tech and luxury is on another level this generation compared to this dark horse and its direct competition in mercedes and audi. Not a 1:20 sec lap that doesn't prove or push the cars at all. Has better handling, speed , and braking. 😂 Hell hagerty even had a race where the m3 and m4 little brother the freakn m2 beat the dark horse in a straight line race.
Comparing their interior and tech is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
@@G82Watts I don't care. That not the point.
This quality of writing and videography is what I’ve been missing since the golden era of Top Gear. I love all the little known history facts and deep dives. Thank you :) Please keep it up guys!
Jason and the Icons is possibly the best content on youtube. Just an absolute banger every time. Jason is the best and the cinematography has me captured the entire time. Amazing work. More please!
I can't give this enough likes. This is one of the best ICONS episodes yet. As always the filming and editing are 11/10. This is such great content!
The last 30 second hidden subtitle message is hilariously true
The production is just mindblowing!! Keep up the amazing work!!!
This episodes just make my days everytime they get uploaded, cheers to the whole team that make this happen
Great video! Amazing production. Jason and Randy are Fn great! Mustang junkie here.
So you still didn't check out Revelations? go watch them.
Oh, you have a lot to catch up with, they're all fantastic, I would also recommend the old Jason videos from the issimi channel
@@federicopelizza9563 and Jason’s old stuff from Motortrend that’s still on his channel
Welcome! It is a huge pleasure to be able to experience cars through Jasons' lens. You'll enjoy it.
I love every video yall drop, but being a mustang fan, the information and production give goosebumps 🤝🏽 keep at it
Wow just wow.
Amazing filmography, track times, humor, and presentation. Thank you for giving us Top Gear back in 2024!
These guys tend to go hard with EVERY VIDEO. Keep up the good work!🐎
Wow, I’ve just realised Jason Cammisa’s Hagerty Icons has quietly become Top Gear! Well done guys, another amazing episode.
The cinematography and story-telling is a spectacle to watch and I really appreciate the passion your team has for this craft. They are truly masters.
I can't say it enough, the production value is thru the roof!!!
I think you and your crew deserve a pay raise.great work.
Who ever writes this channel's scripts it's a genius. Simply brilliant, impecably executed.
