@@DykesterGaming No, if you're gonna have 3 monitors then take this as an example, if you're running at 300 fps, having 2 more monitors would make it drop to like 290
To add to the pro for productivity and gaming experience, 3 screens will immerse you in the experience and keep you more focused on your tasks... it is definitely a significant difference for myself and I have to have 3 monitors to feel comfortable doing my day to day work. Moving my head is a bit of an issue for day to day task, but with a swiveling chair and depending on what you have open, it doesn't matter since it may not need immediate attention.
For The NVIDIA control panel you can safe profiles, one with the surround setup and one without. For example you press ctrl+shift+1 for 3 monitor gaming, for normal use press ctrl+shift+2 and it switches back within 3 seconds.
If I have triple monitors, this is how I would do. Left side: Forex and Stocks Middle side: gaming Right: FB, Twitch, RUclips, and Discord. Question: is that a TV or a bigger monitor on top?
It's a 55 inch tv - it is hooked up to the pc as well, although I only really use it for watching movies on the sofa and occasional big screen gaming :)
One of your Cons, especially the one concerning turning your eye or turning your head is actually dependent on how the game itself handles 3 monitors. If a game keeps your view and UI elements inside the center monitor, then the side monitors simply add view to your game. However, some games have scaling issues where it zooms your view in and stretches your UI. this is where 3 monitor gaming goes bad for gaming. The only time I have to setup NVidia surround screen spanning is when a videocard drive is installed/updated. I don't have to setup the 3 monitor thing every time. I think you are turning yours off all the time. Your 2 main cons are very subjective to situations, programming and compatibility. If the games where all programmed to center its reference view and UI elements to the center 16:9 area of any ultrawide or 3 monitor setup, as well as NVidia fixing what ever problem they have with disabling widescreen spanning ever driver update, on top of you stop choosing to disable your 3 monitor spanning everytime you close a game, the only Con you would have would be the cost. There used to be a modding community that worked on user/fan-made fixes for games that had problems with 3 monitor scaling for view and UI. About the only other con I can think of, outside of cost and lack of support, is jealous players being vindictive and talking crap.
You are correct 100%. I have 4 monitor set up as I am working gaming and watching movies all the time. The setup lets me do fun stuff at same time when I work. Cost is not so bad... I payed $95 per monitor with DP ports and HDMI. Card NVIDIA 1070ti can handle it just fine. The last I got 3x $29.99 arms and looks amazing. Thanks so much for the video. Great points!!!!
No doubt, this looks impressive. However, for all day productivity, though initially three large screens seems like a good idea, it's not simply because it's a pain in the neck. The best productivity setup I've found is a Large 27-32" 4K center screen with 22" screens on either side. Definitely does not look nearly as nice, but it gives you the additional information you need at a glance while decently focus your attention at the task at hand right in front of you. For instance, my screen to my right I keep for my email program since you don't need more space and you're able to respond to work coming in quicker. You can use the left screen for instant messengers such as Skype and your file explorer (screen split) or other live information feeds... The entire setup should be within your peripheral view while seated in a comfortable position looking straight ahead. Anything more is not only a waste, but also a pain.
Especially for those of us who are learning remotely. We can have the video/stream on one monitor, our code environment in the center and maybe task manager on the third so we can see if our system is chugging on code I may have screwed up on.

Was using two 32" monitors for productivity, and that was nice. I then decided I wanted a larger central display for gaming and got a 55" 4k120hz tv. Gaming is sweet on that. For simulators, I just tried getting 3 monitors to work, but the mix in size/resolution causes nothing but trouble. I end up running in 2560+3840+2560 = 8960 x 1440, with a black bar on the top of the 4k. I'm still struggling with refresh rate (central display defaults to 24hz), so I totally understand the frustration of setup. If you're doing triple monitor, get 3 of the same!
My first and only triple setup was on a school computer. I took two other monitors from the computer lab and had some fun with triple monitor minecraft.
Yes, you just need 3 monitor arms, saves desk space, looks better, and allows you to angle the sides and bring them close enough that its not hard to see the edges. Flat against the wall is for show room aesthetics but it doesn't work irl, sweep your outstretched arm across all displays, distance should not change for ergonomic setup, but yes, gaming on 3 doesn't work in practice.

I could just use the main curved monitor for gaming and the other two screens for whatever. Not sure yet though, advice welcome. Keep in mind this is my first PC build.
I can say that I had a triple screen setup, then I exchanged the three screens for a huge screen. I missed having three programs open at the same time, the super wide wallpapers, and at the end of the day, I had to move the huge screen apart from me to see everything, from the distance from my eyes to the screen it look the same size as a normal screen, I am currently selling the big screen and going back to the triple screen. one inconvenience of the triple screen is the lines between each screen, if the screens have a thick edge you may see those bars in your overall image, I recommend that you buy screens with very thin edge, if possible of the same brand and type, because different brands may have a different way to show colors, different brightness, different ways to show color temperature, if the three screens are as identical as possible you will not have a problem with that.
What have you done with your cables? Have you run them into the wall? Also, what mount are you using for the triple? Cause it looks to be wall mounted but I can't find a decent one online. Thanks for the video, was helpful.

ive been running (4x) 24" sceptre monitors since 2008? man its been a long time, and believe it or not as a full time programmer for the manufacturing industry i use ALL of them, yes all! there are times i use only 3 but i never much use less than 3. for gaming i use just 1 but everything else is 3 to 4. it is absolutly essential to have this many moniitors with the multiple softwares i have to run simeltaneously. and believe it or not i am just now looking to purchase a tripple, yes tripple monitor setup but this time all in 55" monitors. the only reason i did not go with 4 is because its not needed as the size of the 3x 55" monitors is so extreme and takes up so much space compared to my current 4x 24" monitors is that i just dont have the room for a 4th lol. a multi monitor setup is extremly beneficial. in both time and ease of use. the cost for the multiple monitors is definetly worth it for me but im a rara kinda critter as well, not many people are doing what im doing but for me, they are great, and i wouldent have it any other way :)

I would have to disagree with the First person shooter on triple surround. If you have it scaled correctly, your main screen will stay the same size, and your side two monitors are effectively triple your Field of view. You just need the correct aspect ratio. Arma 3 on triples helps alot to spot the enemies off to the side. I agree its a PITA to set-up and use. Cant wait for the 30xx series GPUs, as they will really help boost the usability of triples.
Do you find accessing each monitor difficult? For example is it a pain to turn each one on individually or do you have it rigged for them to all turn on at once?
no need to turn them off. they go into standby mode when you shut your computer off or put it to sleep. and then they turn on automatically when they see a signal.

I have now a dual monitor both 60Hz I am used to it and played with the top players in some competitive games. Since i got a bit older i started to realize that a new monitor can make me improve my gameplay even more, that's the only reason why i should buy a new one... If i would buy a 240Hz monitor and use it as my main gaming screen will the 60Hz feel laggy when am just browsing on it? I never played on a higher hz monitor so i can't tell how it feels.
I have 3 monitors and I love it. I have my games running on center monitor, web browser on right monitor and porn playing on left monitor. It works perfectly
This video helped me get a brand new gaming setup. I am getting a new desk, and a new monitor. I’m gonna have 2 monitors. And my setup now, is on my channel.
Hi. I know this is unlikely that you will see this, seeing as though the video is over two years long, but here's hoping. I have been using the three monitor setup for at least over a year now, and for some reason was curious about setups from other people. Anyway, i stumbled onto this video and I seems like you "know your stuff". The question is easy. My monitors are connected through one mount, which is placed on top of the desk. Would you recommend doing that you, and many others, have done? Which is having the wall mounts, so there is nothing on the desk itself holding them up. I feel like it would make it a lot clearer. Just curious. A side question, all of your monitors are at the same height/size. I assume this is more beneficial, in terms of looks and just general use. As for myself, my three monitors are all different, as I just kept buying a new one until I had three over time. This makes it look "ugly". Would you also suggest buying three of the exact same monitors? Or, due to the main/middle monitor being primarily used for gaming, having that as the "better" monitor and two on the side less so? Look forward to hearing back from you. I hope life has been good for you over the two years!
just take one of those huge resolution NASA pictures and crop it to that 11,520 x 6,480 edit: actually a triple 4k setup is 11,520 x 2,160 since you only add the horizontal pixels
I use my drawing tablet as a second monitor, and i plan on making a setup to upgrade from my laptop. If i did 2 monitors i would need a stand for them and a separate one for my drawing tablet that's fully articulate and adjustable. I might upgrade to that, since my budget i am saving up for the setup is 10k anyways, so putting the extra money into 2 monitors i can use freely and a drawing tablet as the third would be ideal for doing all the things i will use the setup for.
My work computer has 4 monitors. Three 22" and the laptop screen. Since Covid, I moved to working from home and one of the 22" is now a 27" that is shared to my home Mac during off hours. Mine is pure workflow. The 27" has an editor where I make notes on the issue and resolution, next is my case logging software, and the next monitor is my email. The laptop screen monitors the phone system (and no other apps as at 15" I rely on the icons more than text to see what is happening.) Monitors #1 & #3 also have a web browser each with 3-5 tabs. Monitor 2 has the chat system behind the logging software (full screened) that I flip forward when not on calls and cases. I picked up another 22" a week or so ago, but I have to rearrange the desk a bit, the printer is moving by the router on the other side of the office. Yeah, I can get a little carried away with this stuff.
So really it's best for people who are freelancers, business owners, and artists. Personally speaking, my workflow for just having 2 has made things immensely easier but I'm about to get a 3rd so that it flows better.
Nice video. I've been debating this ever since I got my RTX 3080 as I have the power to run 3. The thing is my main monitor is a 27" 1440P 144hz which isn't the cheapest so to get 2 more of the same ones will run a pretty penny. I also have a 55" desk and not 100% sure all 3 would fit. I currently use my old 15" laptop via the Windows wireless display feature as a second monitor which definitely increases productivity so I couldn't imagine 3 full 27" monitors from a productivity standpoint. Gaming, I love racing games like Forza so it'll be nice for those too.
I don't think any of the downsides you mentioned for gaming are downsides. My first thought with 3 screens isn't "Wow playing my games on 3 screens with be great" my thought is its gonna be nice to have other things visible while I'm gaming on the middle moniter. If you enjoy gaming on multiple monitors great but you don't have to just because you have them.
I think bay two monitor . I have alredy one AOC 32" and think i need two (?), play Subnatica, Total War's series, and Mass Effect 1-3. What do you think dear film author? Meby better one monitor 4k, best resolution?

ive been running (4x) 24" sceptre monitors since 2008? man its been a long time, and believe it or not as a full time programmer for the manufacturing industry i use ALL of them, yes all! there are times i use only 3 but i never much use less than 3. for gaming i use just 1 but everything else is 3 to 4. it is absolutly essential to have this many moniitors with the multiple softwares i have to run simeltaneously. and believe it or not i am just now looking to purchase a tripple, yes tripple monitor setup but this time all in 55" monitors. the only reason i did not go with 4 is because its not needed as the size of the 3x 55" monitors is so extreme and takes up so much space compared to my current 4x 24" monitors is that i just dont have the room for a 4th lol. a multi monitor setup is extremly beneficial. in both time and ease of use. the cost for the multiple monitors is definetly worth it for me but im a rara kinda critter as well, not many people are doing what im doing but for me, they are great, and i wouldent have it any other way :)
What are those things behind the left and right monitors and is that a speaker above the center monitor?
Left and right are oculus rift sensors, middle thing is like a monitor lamp
@@TechTesseract Oh damn, I'm only wondering how that lamp would work/fit on an ULTRA WIDE curved monitor... I guess it wouldn't or someone would have to be making lamps that have a curve to them I guess. Yikes.
can you make a video showing how you wired all three monitors to the pc
Would you like me to explain it?
@@Pablo-xk5hp Yes please Asap
Hi Josh, please do a show on whats the best device to use for hooking up 1 laptop to 3 monitors. I see a ton of "switches" basically switching multiple pcs but not what is needed. also a ton of devices that just dont work well with a laptop. thank you
I would have to disagree with the First person shooter on triple surround. If you have it scaled correctly, your main screen will stay the same size, and your side two monitors are effectively triple your Field of view. You just need the correct aspect ratio. Arma 3 on triples helps alot to spot the enemies off to the side. I agree its a PITA to set-up and use. Cant wait for the 30xx series GPUs, as they will really help boost the usability of triples.
what is the screen called?
Do you find accessing each monitor difficult? For example is it a pain to turn each one on individually or do you have it rigged for them to all turn on at once?
no need to turn them off. they go into standby mode when you shut your computer off or put it to sleep. and then they turn on automatically when they see a signal.
ill be using my 3 monitor setup for gaming and streaming 1 for gaming 2nd for watching my obs music for stream, and 3rd for chat box and browsing videos
Nice!
Cheers
How you madr this setup ( three monitor setup and one big screen above !! And what about cable management?? Any video regarding this query.
I have now a dual monitor both 60Hz
I am used to it and played with the top players in some competitive games.
Sorry, I'm looking for the system unit, where did you put it?
Quick question, do you have a separate computer dedicated to the TV above everything?
If you had 3 4k monitors set up like that, you would need a 11,520 x 6,480 wallpaper. Where would you even find one with that resolution??
just take one of those huge resolution NASA pictures and crop it to that 11,520 x 6,480
edit: actually a triple 4k setup is 11,520 x 2,160 since you only add the horizontal pixels
what gpu do you have? Btw nice vid!
Was setting up those wall mounts hard?
I have a question why not turn all three monitors sideways to have a bigger screen instead of a stretched screen?
Tech tesseract how big are the screens and how big pc table you got?
Can you have your games open on one screen and recording software on the other screen? Or are you forced to play all games using all 3 monitors
U arnt forced to always use 3 monitors u can enable it when u want to through the software he mentioned or just use the monitors normally (seperately)
What mount are you using? Been looking a triple mounts versus three, single mounts
Is a 1050ti good enough to push all the pixels?
What monitors and monitor arms did you use in your set up
What game is that you're playing at the 3:40 mark?
If you enjoy gaming on multiple monitors great but you don't have to just because you have them.
do you think a 3060 ti will be able to run three monitors?
@@calebwright4381 the regular 3060 is able too so it should be able too
@@namename2040 okay thanks
I notice your mounted monitors don't have a stand... Did you use wall mounts ? And if so, which ones did you use ?
How about the links for the monitors, speakers, Processing Unit,?
brilliant video loved the editing!
Thanks anna!
I know this is old but Do you happen to have a photo of the full setup that isn't cropped?
i know this is unrelated but can you tell me what card decks you have on your computer desk
They're all theory 11 decks. Contraband, tycoon, citizens, artisan black, artisan white, national, monarchs, high Victorian, medallions, union, and nomad :)
im here dec 24 2020 and man youve had a glow up
I really liked the keyboard. May i know the name of it?
Thanks
great vid bro but what TV is that above the monitors?
Link in description!
@@TechTesseract Where? I only see links for the wall mounts?
I think bay two monitor . I have alredy one AOC 32" and think i need two (?), play Subnatica, Total War's series, and Mass Effect 1-3.
What do you think dear film author?
Meby better one monitor 4k, best resolution?
do you have a video on how do you mount those monitors and TV up ?
that'll be good mate
I don't but I'll work on one!
@@TechTesseract
That'll be great, you just earned a sub :)
I do plan to get triple monitor set up, no drilling, mount up on desk
I have Samsung 27" SE390 (which probably a non-VESA or require drill on the monitor to get it mount up)
Also, that TV up there looks bigger than a 32" you listed on description.
Overall great set up!
Can you do a video on how you mounted them and what you used? I currently have a triple monitor stand and my monitors are to far from the wall and too close to me so takes away half of the desk space
monitor arm??
That's triple 24" or 27"
27"
@@TechTesseract would triple 32" g7s be good?
How did you get 3 monitors hooked up ? I use 2 but I don’t see a 3rd place to hook a 3rd monitor in my PC ? Thanks
Depends on your graphics card. The new one I just got has 7 outputs so in theory I could have 7 monitors 😂
What do you use the big tv about the triple screen for & do you have a video on it ?
Where did you get your 8 foot desk?! I keep looking for a large desk and can't find it anywhere!
it is easiest to build oen yourself, buy materials in whatever colour you want it, and just screw it together and you have beautiful table
What do you suggest for CAD work?...
Do you have a link for the desk?
