The tips you give at the beginning of the video, encouraging people to only buy what they need or is reasonably affordable, Is very commendable. As you say, people can easily go down the rabbit hole of buying things that they see on RUclips videos when in fact, they’re not necessary. Your set up is very nice. I commend your good taste.
Kudos for taking into consideration air quality! I have 2 Blue Air purifiers that have been running 24/7 the last 4 years and they make a huge difference. I live in a city (pollution), have covid-induced asthma, and if I leave them off within 24hrs I'm having strings of asthma attacks. Turn them back on, inside of 2 hrs it stops. Worth the investment and they're absolute workhorses!
Thanks for taking time to write this comment! I'm glad you love the Blu Airs as much as I do, they really are awesome. They also last a long time before I have to change the filters out too, which is a bonus. Cheers and thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
Hey Dude So happy to see you still going with the videos, man. I must say they are still top, and I love the changes you have made. Im also thinking that it might be time for an office change up and some tech changes... havent been on youtube for some time work is hectic and just started a new role, but glad to see your still going, Keep the videos coming man 🙂
This was a good video and good advice because if people just buy what everyone has its not their own they' should buy what they actually want so keep up the good work:)
I gotta say , the air purifier part is the most underrated tip on the list. I have two in my room and they've made such a huge difference for air quality and especially dust.
This was fantastic and made me feel a little less selfish for repainting my office recently. Black forest green ( Benjamin Moore) and damn was it worth the time and effort. My mental health gained a huge boost with the change in lighting and tone in my personal space.
Always enjoy watching your setup videos, very inspirational, I draw a lot of ideas on how I want to improve my setup... I will say I love the Caldigit TS4, it has been phenomenal as I upgraded my monitors to Thunderbolt displays and can easily swap between my Work laptop and(windows) and to my personal laptop Mac, with just unplugging Thunderbolt from one and into the other. I can't wait to continue to build out my setup over time.
I like this guy, he's super nice and considerate and doesn't jump on the consumerism bandwagon. -- I'm a fan of the zip-tie wire management. I often get a big of 100-200 ties from a hardware store. The tiny ones, and I'll put a zip tie every 1-2 inches on basically any wires where there's two or more. My philosophy is that not all wires will be invisible, so I want them as absolutely immaculate as possible. So they look super seamless and tied together like a massive tube. Another thing I do with my desk setup that's fairly unique, and not accessible to everyone is that I actually keep my desktop PC in the spare bedroom and route all the wires through my walls. I mostly do this, because I'm super sensitive to fan sounds, and I want absolute silence when I'm using my PC. It's just a quirk of mine. I hate the noise. And I mean really hate it. Any fan noise will bother me. But also, keeping the PC box in another room means two other things. One, I don't have to worry about LED lights or a fancy case. It's tucked away (well ventilated) in a spot I'll never see it. And two, my office has a really great minimalist look to it. My monitor has a wall mount it extends from and all the wires route through that. So there's no monitor wires. And my mouse and keyboard plug into a tiny dock at the edge of my desk. And my like 10 portable drives all live with the PC, so they're not seeable from the office. --- Side note, since I think I saw an Alienware monitor in this video. I got the DWF about a year or two ago. No burn in yet ;) But I specifically went for the newer model as it only had one fan instead of two. I'm happy to note that the monitor's internal fan isn't on enough to bother my noise sensitivity. But I DO notice when it kids on. It be very rare, and kinda sounds like when the central heating kicks on. So it's short lived and easy to tune out. --- One of the small details I noticed over the years is that the type of desk can really help too. I've not tried a stand up desk before. But when I was younger, I used one of those shitty folding tables. The kind you bump into and it feels like everything shakes because it's just a folding table, lol. Several years ago I got a big 3x8 foot hardwood table, and it's freaking solid. Like you can bang into it. STAND ON IT, lean on it. Sit on it. It doesn't move. Nothing on the desk moves. I love it. But if I didn't own my own house I wouldn't get a sturdy hardwood table. It's gonna live and die in this house. I'll never take it moving, lol! But it's also nice since I sit Indian-style a lot (my legs don't touch the floor), I can brace against the table and push out to move my chair back and fourth without it being too wobbly to ruin anything. -- Additionally, if people want to get hardcore with tables, and this can talk about wire management too. A solid table can be modified. People can screw in metal magnet plates for other magnet pieces to stick to. Wire channels can be drilled in. Tables are modifiable as hell. One thing I like to do is use double-sided tape a lot to keep power bricks glued to hidden locations. -- Lighting makes a big difference. The monitor lamp sounds interesting. Right now I have 6 floor lamps in my office that diffuse a nice bright light. I love just quiet, bright, clean, white. My wife calls my office a "hospital room." lol..
I always appreciate your videos-spot on w/every tip! Been considering a purifier myself, w/winter coming up especially trying to consider one w/a humidfier as well. May scoop one for black friday. Great video!
Nice tips! I have a Germ guardian cube air purifier myself that normally stays in my bedroom (good air plus the bonus of the added white noise actually does wonders for my sleep). Unfortunately, due to downsizing at my company, my WFH streak came to an end back in June and I took a different position back in the office. Hoping I can land another so I can enjoy my desk more.
awesome video! But why is there no setup shocase channel with a real heathly setup? Right position of the monitor, chair, table high etc. Being someone with a home-office gaming setup, this is really frustrating to see now one takes care of the health aspect.
Haha thanks, it's one of my favourite movies. For Tarantino movies specifically, Jackie Brown is also one of his best IMO (I find it's often overlooked).
Thanks! Actually, it's because I haven't tightened my monitor arm tilt enough for this panel, which causes it to tilt down. I'd recommend not doing that and keeping the monitor facing straight rather than tilted down to reduce neck strain.
Love the set up man. Can you recommend the arm you use? I have the same Alienware monitor 34”. If you could drop a link or point me in the direction to find it. Thank you! Edited- nevermind, I didn’t check the description before I commented. You’re the man
If budget is no obstacle, the best dock on the market IMO is the CalDigit TS4. 18 ports of connectivity and has been highly reliable for my setups. I recently tried out the OWC Thunderbolt dock at about a third of the price for my latest desk setup and it has worked great as well.
Hey there, the wallpaper is by a creator named Oliur, and is from his Color Waves wallpaper pack. Just search for "Oliur Color Waves" and you should be able to find it. Hope this helps!

This was a really helpful video, gave me a lot of great insight and ideas for what to do with my setup, especially the different kinds of lights :)
Best intro ever. I love it when you say this is about your mindset. So true.
Really appreciate that intro on this vid…💯💯💯
Thanks man!

Glad this video was helpful, thank you for watching!
Thanks for being so down to earth. That was a great tip at the beginning.
This means a lot, thank you!
Struggled with my own minor speech through life. Love how you worked through it man, keep on

This is an amazing video. Your intro rocks.
Great tips along with details such as matching wrist support height with keyboard height.
Glad you enjoyed the video - thank you for watching!
The part about the kitchen table and 1080p monitor hit home for me. I was the same way!

Great video and tips. Really appreciate advice on taking your time to make purchases.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Nice tips. Although that mug right next to your keyboard while gaming was giving me flashbacks. You need a coaster to move that mug from your deskpad.
he's just a chill guy
Nice tips. You’ve inspired me to tame the wild nest that I call wire management. 😂
Great vid as always, brother. 🤙
You could fix all lightning around monitor with BenQ Halo lightbar, it has front and back screen light.

Nice tips. Nice shirt. Got the theatrical poster behind my desk 😄

@@TwoByteThomas Very true. That opening scene is epic.
Nice tips! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Nice tips! Love this set up hope to build something like it one day 👍
Great video. One question. I noticed that you tilt your monitor down. Any particular reason why?
Thanks! Actually, it's because I haven't tightened my monitor arm tilt enough for this panel, which causes it to tilt down. I'd recommend not doing that and keeping the monitor facing straight rather than tilted down to reduce neck strain.
Nice tips. I like your setup, very cozy.

Nice Tips 😉😉
The LTT magnetic cable organizer might be really good for you with that metal tray
Oh nice - I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the suggestion!
Love the set up man. Can you recommend the arm you use? I have the same Alienware monitor 34”. If you could drop a link or point me in the direction to find it. Thank you!

I need a dock for a PC desktop. Struggling with which one would work best. I have a couple external HDs and a bunch of items powered by USB a ports.
If budget is no obstacle, the best dock on the market IMO is the CalDigit TS4. 18 ports of connectivity and has been highly reliable for my setups. I recently tried out the OWC Thunderbolt dock at about a third of the price for my latest desk setup and it has worked great as well.

“Buying things you just don’t need”…says the guy who bought a $900 desk stand.
Very nice setup. But very expensive! lol
I need to make more money LOL
What wallpaper is that?
I have the same question. What walllpaper is that?
Hey there, the wallpaper is by a creator named Oliur, and is from his Color Waves wallpaper pack. Just search for "Oliur Color Waves" and you should be able to find it. Hope this helps!
Cozy setup. I’ll hit ya with a sub.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I believe that wrist rests are ergonomically bad for your wrists. Look it up. Your wrists should hover.
NOITA!!!!
That gets you a sub!
I love Noita - it equally makes me rage and smile at the same time. 😂 Thanks for subscribing!
Cable management? Try Underwear 2.0 if you have a 3d printer.
