Ergonomic chair, desk pad, monitor arm, good mouse, good speakers --- check. All less expensive than your recommendations but, as you mentioned at the beginning, they do the job. And they fit my budget.
Affordable chair alternatives can be chairs like the Ikea Markus, or Autonomous Ergo Chair/Pro. They are really good budget/Mid Range chairs and provide quite a bit of support. Agee a lot with adding lighting and personality to your setup. Especially if you are on a lot of Teams/Zoom calls. Its good to show a little bit of who you are. Good recommendations all around.

@@truuuupRthey are definitely worth it comfort wise. I’ve owned many chairs and theirs are one of the few that do the trick for my back. But they also come with a 12 years warranty. Other chairs with the same comfort in the mid range or high end can match the comfort but then they have a 3 or 6 years warranty warranty which eats into your savings long-term
@@truuuupR they are worth it, but if money is issue, these chairs are so overbuilt they tend to last like 20 years and you can buy a used one for next to nothing locally. i will take a 5 + year old Aeron that has absorbed some office farts long before garbage tier 200$ chair from staples.
KEFs definitely better! better soundstage as well as overall sound balance, but only by a bit. Tuks are much better value IMO but if you just want better sound quality KEFs won’t disappoint!
I don't have a standing desk, but I have like an adjustable converter?? thing?? It just sits on my desk and I can raise it up. A good alternative for those on tighter budgets. :)
The white standing desk, can you tell me where you got it from or send a link for it? I’m doing a new desk setup and I’m going for white and silver look.
Can you talk about the peg board? Is it an addon with the desk you got or? Also where do you get pegboard attachments? Went to a few local shops here and no one seems to sell pegboard.
Great video. But 300$ monitor arm sounds insane weather my budget is big or small. I spent 40$ on mine with a 34 inch ultra wide curved monitor and it works fine.
I would be interested to know more about options for speakers that will work with desk setup… I worry about older premium speakers that they won’t connect to modern computers
Love your video. I like the light bar below the monitor that lights up just the desk. If someone can link me to that product, it would be great! Thanks!
hello can i get the info about your ipad stand? im using same monitor stand (hexcal studio) and i really wanna know ive watched all ur videos to get the info but i couldnt.. please
Those BenQ light bars and Grovemade desk mats are so overpriced. You can find similar products that do the same thing for 1/3rd or less the price. More of these desk set up videos here on RUclips need to acknowledge this. Otherwise it's just bragging.
Hi Jesse, I just located your site. I am trying to setup a 2 pc one monitor and preferably one keyboard and mouse. I tried to Google this but evidently am not using the right search terms Right now I have each PC HDMI's plugged into my Samsung monitor's HDMI1 & HDMI2. I switch between them by changing the source with a soft button on the bottom of the monitor. Switching this way is hard on the monitor switch. It wore out in less than a year. I typically work with one pc for a session - rather than frequent switches back and forth. Please help, (.,.) al
Thanks for the recommendations, great video! Was wondering how you find the glide of the MX Master 3s on the grovemade deskmat? The mouse is heavy and I’ve not been able to find a good glide on many desk mats including the orbikey one. Am now considering getting the grovemade matt desk mat.
I always wondered why people like mechanical keyboards. Don't get me wrong-I use a high-quality ergonomic keyboard, and that's more than enough. However, I find mechanical keyboards satisfying to type on but very uncomfortable. .
Honestly, my mechanical keyboard was uncomfortable at first. I think there was a period of time where the muscles in my wrists didn't like it. But eventually that worked out and now I love the tactile feel of typing on a mechanical keyboard. It's very smooth and crisp. So my typing is quicker now, but it took a week or two for my body to adjust to the difference in key pressure and feel
Everything is cool, but the third item looks like something unnecesary is better take a 30 mins or 1 hour break go outside and walk or run, balance is important in life and even if this items help litle bit to make some long period work sessions i would recomend active breaks and separate completely from desk for 20mins to 1 hour, everyrhing else is on point pretty good options to improve the setup 👍🏻
I think the target audience for this video is office workers/students at home. Increase of quantity/quality is definitely a great upgrade for many people, but things like a good chair/desk/lighting definitely should be higher priority. Especially true when some people of older age may not be able to notice the different/not care between monitor choices.
It's definitely premium for sure. I definitely don't have the means to reasonably acquire one at the moment, but trying the chair from a friend really opened my eyes to how great a properly engineered chair can be. I comfortably sat in that chair for 7 hours and felt fine. There are definitely chairs that can function at a similar level at lower prices, but I can see why so many people recommend Herman miller aeron.
@@kevin15535 i’ve sat in them before too and they are definitely overpriced. You aren’t actually paying for additional levels of comfort you are paying for a name on a product similar to buying a pair of Jordan shoes. You’re not exactly buying them because they are the most comfortable best quality shoe on the market you’re buying them because they have a name attached to them. Serta Makes multiple chairs that are considerably more comfortable than these for a third of the price. The only actual reason I can see anybody recommending these is either because they want people to realize that they have money or because they are being sponsored by Herman miller to shill their expensive crap to unsuspecting viewers who don’t know any better.
This comment kinda suggests he bought all of these in a short period of time. Many desk setups are an accumulation of time and investment, piecing it one by one until you've achieved your dream setup. Some of these people will already achieve in a cheaper and satisfactory way, but maybe an individual didn't know about the existence of a standing desk or the importance of proper lighting. He's working a job at the desk for an extended period of time, so what's the harm?
Another click bait ("content") video made to make us spend money and the guy get his cut. So yes, the accusations are fair. BTW: don't just buy Hermann Miller. Go try it personally. You might be surprised by how less comfortable these premium chairs can be when compared to 5x cheaper ones.
