  • This audit takes place outside this Chick-Fil-A location from the public sidewalk towards the end of breakfast/ beginning of lunchtime. Almost immediately customers began to take notice of me documenting & engaged with me in conversation. One woman demanded that I stop filming & I had to ask , who are you ? my mom? 😂 I'm guessing someone called for police because a deputy from OCSD eventually showed up and parked across the street to observe from afar. No contact was made with me, by the deputy.

I think it's a realization that they don't know what they are talking about. Kind of like, "Hey it's illegal to murder someone!" Then they start stabbing someone, doesn't happen as it's clear murder is illegal. People get some odd thought in their had that consent forms are required, but, no one has actually told them it's that way. So it's really them just realizing they are wrong and ignorant.

The name on their security camera, Pelco, I used to work for that company. About 2,000 employees at its peak in 2008. Quality control at that company was the best at any company I've worked for and they treated its employees very well.

"My husband's a..." is supposed to intimidate you. I was in a Post Office where someone was videoing everyone who came in. I paid them no attention, but the Karen in line with me said "My husband is a State Trooper and I could call him and get her to stop!" To which I replied "Not if he understands the law." She didn't take too kindly to that.

Photographer made a comment that if people are concerned about his camera that they should be concerned about the stores cameras.
But even more so. The stores cameras record debit transactions, with way better images than the street photographer could ever capture.
And let’s face it, the staff are low income, so the whole ‘working there’ could be a ruse solely for the purpose of obtaining credit card info. Not like it hasn’t happened.

Our government could easily put out a PSA explaining that people have the right to film in public and educating the general population on the difference between a public property versus a private one, but they *won't* because they *don't* want people to know their rights. End of story.

Drive thru audits are the best ones. Soon there will be new laws and Regs for these operators to follow as drive thru are causes of pedestrian accident and roadway accidents when the lines back up to roadway. Already certain states are banning them due to safety concerns . You should document the ones that spill into the streets. Usually in and out or chick F

Apparently, Chick-fil-A is perfectly comfortable closing down on Sundays in observance of their religious beliefs as guaranteed by the freedom of religion clause in the 1st Amendment, BUT they are not tolerant of anyone exercising the freedom of the press clause of the same Amendment. This is in addition to the fact that the first time I ate there they gave me a barely warm chicken sandwich with a coating so wet it was falling off the chicken and served it on a bun that was the texture of Elmer's glue. It was also the last time I ever ate there. Their food sucks.
