I’ve owned 2 dsms in the past about 20 years ago. I’m looking for another one, from bone stock other than general maintenance you need to do, the first 5 are a must for me: 1: IC piping to replace restrictive stock ones 2: metal BOV that will hold boost 3: boost controller 4: gauges, at least a boost gauge. 5: 2.5 inch cat back
Owned serveral dsms since I was 15 years old. Now 34 and just picked up a mint 96 gst Spyder for an unheard of price. My last DSM was a 98' Spyder fully built by myself with a precision 6262 on it and everything you could think of. In my experience with my 98 on a stock engine a heavy clutch caused the car to crank walk and that's where the build began .with this car ( 120k) my goals will be every bolt on possible with the stock turbo. Something you would have seen in the early 2000s. Not looking to make 350hp just see what I can squeeze out of the stock t25. I have an intake coming , just did t belt water pump cam seals and thermostat. I'm going to remove the restrictor pill from the stock boost solenoid for a couple more pounds of boost and Install a boost gauge. To me the air fuel ratio gauge isn't necessary untill you get a fuel system and up the boost past 16 psi. The stock fuel maps on these cars are so conservative there's room for a little more boost . Clutch and trans are in great shape just changed trans fluid and that's all I'm gonna do. Like I said just a little more umph to it maybe 15 25 HP. Been down that road of building one and it was fun and very fast. To the tune of 15 thousand dollars. More into keeping it stock ish with a few tricks up my sleeve. Good video .

Need help. I'm new to the car world and trying figure out stuff the old fashion way. My 1998 gst turbo been given me problems. There is a line right under the oil filter that if you change the oil, the people could easily alter it and mess it up. I need help figuring out what the line is for so I can figure out if I have a blown headhasket or if it's the line that they tweaked during the oil change. The research I've found is that the line is either for oil or for coolant. Go figure the issue I have is milky coolant when I check under the radiator cap to pour coolant in. My engine light came on right after they changed the oil so that's why I'm suspicious as to what the problem is. I also cant check the engine code bc my obd2 port doesnt connect.
