Nice video, I tried to replace the light bulbs for the brake/turn signal lights to LED, so I went to the auto parts store then asked the the guy there to cross reference part numbers, he told me that I also had to instal a resistor for them to work so I was discourage , do you think this is true?
He was jerking you around. All LEDs for any application (home, car, commercial) are plug and play. The only time a bulb won't work is if it is put in wrong or it's legitimately dead. I take it this is what you're looking for? bit.ly/2VmaZ8g Edit: I should mention it's usually modern automobiles that freak out when aftermarket items are installed. The computer is, shall we say, single minded and doesn't recognize change. An LED has a much lower current draw than stock lights so the difference makes the computer freak out and might throw a code. Load resistors balances out the draw but is unnecessary with our Eclipses. Vehicles are so touchy now. Can't even change the oil without the dashboard flashing ERROR.
Qzeey unfortunately yes you do. There are 3 bolts on the fender walls, the 5 or 6 under the hood, then there are 4 bulbs two on each side under the head lights, so to take off the bumper you need to remove the head light but to remove the head light you need to remove the bumper....fix around that is get a pry bar under the light between the bumper and remove the bottom bolt under the the head light and remove the lights. After that it’s simple. I recommend leaving the bolts that were for the bumper under the head lights out and the bottom bolt holding the head light out as well. You don’t need them and for future need it will take you 30 seconds to remove either bumper or light instead of 30mins
Haha! I drive it as much as I can. I have a company work van that I commute in, so the only other time to drive is on the weekends. I also have a Jeep that I try to drive as much as the Eclipse.
Thanks for making this! Just ordered the same bulbs for my 1995 GSX.
