Custom painting the tail lights on my 2G Eclipse GSX. I had a spare set laying around that I wasn't using so I figured I would try to do something fun with them.
I'm the same way. I love the stock look of the car and love the stock headlights and tail lights but i had a set just sitting there and figured I'd give it a shot! But thank you!

Looks better than anything out there that's for sure. Great job man. I thought you would've left the center piece red then removed the lettering and paint a single black stripe down the center to connect the ones on each side of the tail lights.
Looks good, I've been doing this along time, my experience with them is spray them in direct sunlight then you can see if you have light spot's, I use 1000grit and wet sand them before painting and use bulldog adhesive promotor
not bad, nice work, I think they would have looked sicker if they were the same blue as the car and not black.. thoughts? Pretty cool design tho, also you can never go wrong with LEDs. lol
Thank you. Not sure if you watched the whole video or not but I didn't wrap them. I painted them using PPG Deltron Paint and shopline acrylic 2k clearcoat. Hope this helps!

Hey man awesome car I just wanted to ask what I can do to my 97 eclipse gs the owner before he did some performance work and I want to do more but I don’t know where to go first I’m bout as mechanically inclined as I want to but I just like to know where I can get some body kits and some interior parts too the guy before me riced tf outta the car and I don’t know too much about where to get parts also I love the taillights I’d love a pair of my own if you do end up making them for people sorry this is all over the place I just have a lot of stuff to say have a nice day
No worries! And the biggest thing s making sure all the maintenance is up to date on it. Then I would remove any unwanted modifications and replace them with your own. I know as far as performance goes most 420A guys go for intake, full exhaust, lightweight pullys and flywheel, and lighter wheels. You can still get a lot of decent parts for these cars on ebay, stmtuned, dsmpartout, and a few other places.
I've been doing the same thing on mine for years however I use Plasti Dip it is completely reversible also if you live in a state that has vehicle inspections a lot of times tinting the rear lights or the front lights can be illegal it can get you pulled over that's one reason I use Plasti Dip it is reversible

Unfortunately I'm not. It took me months to source a clean set of tail lights for myself. They're super hard to find now.
