Idk if your still around I inherited car from my brother 1997 eclispe I can’t tell if it has cams or not It pops and chops at idle I thought misfire timing is on new plugs wires n coil New fuel pump Compression 185 195 200 210 Not sure how else to tell besides chop at idle but it does smooth out when running till you get to light then starts again
Hey man I literally just finished building my 420a in my 95 and I'm using a spa fmu (let's you adjust idle fuel pressure and rising rate just by turning some screws) its on ebay for 100 bucks and it actually works very well unless your going to be using megasquirt love that your back btw keep at it

Not saying eBay is bad but if you want to do an engine rebuild I would trust a legit website with a lot of customer service to back me up if anything goes wrong. Right now I am buying eBay turbo parts for my 420a stock. And so far received most of it and it all looks good.

The only mod only mod a 420A eclipse owner needs is a 4G63 motor.... and a crate of door handles. Eclipse owners know the struggle.

You plan on running an intercooler without a turbo? That would do nothing but add weight to the car....

He’s on stock internals. But if you want to push more boost and horsepower then they usually go with Wiseco or Eagle piston and rods
