I used to carry a finger gun but one day i was stopped by the police (think somebody tipped them off) i quickly put my hand in my pocket and pulled out a relaxed hand. Those dumb cops searched every inch of my car looking for that gun.
00:15- regardless of the guy's skill, I never liked the entire "going to agree to let him demonstrate one technique then surprise him with something completely different" thing. If you know what he is going to do and he is going slowly to show it, obviously you can make it look bad. It would be like agreeing to hold pads for someone then sucker punching them- doesn't prove they don't know how to box, just that you can catch them off guard.
Adam AMBM As a Jujitsu instructor, I can confirm this is a problem. I have tapped students literally double my bodyweight with no trouble, but I hate it when this happens. What people don't realize is that your brain is not actually in combat mode at that moment. It is in language mode _for their benefit._ You are trying to find the best way to explain something. You are trying to watch to see if the slow guy is getting it. You are not even watching them. The other irritating thing is the guys the same size as you or smaller never try it. It is _always_ the bigger guys.
EmpiricalPragmatist I know someone who suddenly attacked my bjj instructor during a drill and the instructor got him in an arm bar almost immediately. Did he “hurt” the instructor? A little, I suppose. But he was rewarded with a bigger hurt for not sticking with the drill. It seemed to me the “instructor” in the clip disn’t have an answer to the big guy’s attack. That is a problem. However I also believe someone who does this to an instructor should be dealt with in a severe manner to learn a lesson. This was highly disrespectful.
I want to know more about the context of that first clip. It looks like he's an instructor trying to give a seminar in the desert to try to come off as more badass to those huge dudes, but one of them decided to just call him on his bullshit right there.
The sitting punching game is a fun way to test your core strength. You sit cross legged because its easier to get knocked back. It takes a bit of core strength to not get knocked over sitting like that. First one to get knocked onto their back has to do 50 pushups (at least thats how we do it)
3 minutes was Hatsumi. He is solid and is usually teaching a principle, like distance rythm timing.. when you feel those techniques you see how the can work. Thats the only case on this vid that i disagree with you.
I am not so sure about that in a real fight tho, will the attacker really just stand still and let him grab his arm and turn the way that the " martial artist " wanted ? No, I don't think so. And it was clear that he don't expect a second knife coming in on those technique, he's leaving himself open, a real way to defend against a knife will always leave you wounded and it needs to be a very serious knockout in less than 6 seconds. That will not work in real life.
Just like every body is saying, these demos are bs because it is staged so the master knows exactly what's coming so can counter as they see fit. In real life situations out comes are many as factors are too much to calculate and counter.
I'm certainly no expert but I've noticed that virtually all of these "knife defence" get one thing wrong. They never tell you to run away, to try to use something to create distance etc. I know you can't hear the audio but the old.guy makes it seem so easy and simple but those techniques will get people killed
Not my wife. She prefers my dick She said my dick is much bigger and more satisfying Also, Im not good at rubbing her clit. So, yeah. Either my Dick or my tongue. Not fingers
There has been an explosion of "experts" of all kinds on RUclips. Anyone now can post his videos of how-to on YT and voila, he's an expert. Martial arts, water heater, laying tiles, fixing cars, carpentry, roofing, languages, etc. Granted, some of these videos are legit as they show the mastery of the person but the others? Well ...
That old ninja doing the weapon “defenses” was hilarious. I went to a ninjitsu class and they really did it that way, they taught that moving, slowly a few inches was enough to defend a punch or weapon attack. No block or even bothering to lift your hands.
My father is 62 years old, he teaches self defense classes in thailand for the past decade or two. He had a couple of those "Steven seagals" thinking they rule the class. I can tell you this never got old seeing him man handle 35 year old "fighters" throwing them throughout the entire gym. Without any effort or sweat involved...
That sitting thing is likely a warm up. They're warming up to later start training proper drills. In taekwondo we do warm ups that look silly. Like knee up sparring, where we do the sparring motions without extending the legs. It looks silly, but warms you up with footwork and initiating the strikes.
I always like these hyper-realistic demos where attackers do single-angle stabs with the speed of a snail then wait like a statue for the badass master to execute some supercool techniques on them.
The defense against the finger gun is easy. They taught us this when I was in special forces, The United States Eagle Scouts Ranger Seals. If someone whips out the dreaded finger gun and points it at you, all you have to do is grab the finger that's pointed at you, and pull it. When you pull the assailants finger, this will make him fart, and if you're lucky then the night before was Taco Tuesday and he's all loaded up on greasy Tacos and will end up sharting himself, and he will die from embarrassment
That sitting boxing drill looked like a warm up/reaction drill. Nothing serious, but to get you in the mindset of covering and returning blows from any position... It also looked like they were goofing off, so it could have been that too.
1:30 ... He was not intending to dodge the bullet after it would be fired. He was removing himself from the line of fire before the gunman's first trigger-pull. Because he knows his hands aren't fast enough to reach the gun before its goes off.
1:31 In the interest of fairness, I don't think the "instructor" in this clip is advocating trying to pull a Neo. I imagine he's talking about clearing yourself out of the line of fire before the trigger is pulled as you execute the technique. It's a pretty standard part of a lot of gun disarms out there. Not to say it's not problematic in its own way from a realism standpoint (most compliant partner weapon disarms are), but I'm almost certain the dude isn't telling people to dodge a bullet lmao.
I can't remember what channel it is but there are these 2 guys who use felt markers as knives & they try to defend against each other! The colored marker provides a real world analysis of how you would get stabbed and where it would be & how many times! It's really quite ingenious how they see if they can stave off a knife attack! Normally they can't, no matter what kind of martial art they use!
The 'gun' defence, he hooks the gun arm across his own body instead of moving to the outside. If the attacker just started unloading he would be intentionally pulling the gun across his own body. As for those ridiculous knife attacks. NOBODY attacks like that with a knife....EVER. Knife attacks are wild, random, and completely unpredictable.
I've noticed a lot of my new students do that, where they throw a punch from out of range and don't understand why I keep telling them to come in closer. Even in touch sparring, the realism of range is imperative. If you can't touch me, you can't hit me. Get close enough to hit me.
Those four seated people gently, playfully punching one another are the most honest because they're clearly playing for fun whereas all the others are fantasising that they're actually credible in whatever it is they believe they're doing!
Suggestion: When you do your next commentary, pretend that you actually believe their techniques, and when something "goes wrong" just find excuses for why it should have worked.
I'd suggest only attempting a grab for a gun if you have no choice and can ensure safely spanning the distance needed to grab the gun holding wrist and have the barrel aimed at nobody you care for. Then, go for a Kimora on that arm. Wrap your shirt around one hand if facing a knife wielding enemy to provide a blocking hand.
Fight Commentary Breakdowns For a little while we didn’t get uploads, or youtube was too shite to notify me, and now you’re uploading regularly AND youtube actually tells me. I love the content!
What I'd like to know is why try some weird in effective grappling technique when he was practicing all those strikes. I'm referring too the first guy in the video.
Every time I watch one of your videos... I just can't wait for bjj tomorrow. Just to make my brain stop hurting from this shit! Where do you find this comedy gold!? Do individuals willing partake in some of these things? That little ninja definitely looked like he wanted to be anywhere else.
Wanted to give my 2 cents on the drill at 2:40. This looks like a drill from Wing Chun from the application of the third form. I don't know whether the practitioners in the video don't understand the proper application of the drill or are only training a specific aspect of this drill. The purpose of this drill like all applications from the third form of Wing Chun is to take a severely disadvantaged situation and turn it into a slightly less severely disadvantaged situation, until you see a chance to escape. The situation in this drill has a very specific context, namely one of your arms is disabled, probably broken during an ambush (note the big white thing wrapped around the hand of the guy on the right), and you have no hope of winning the fight. You might be in some kind of alley with limited room for escape. The drill is to keep your opponent at a distance while fending off his attacks with your good arm, with minimal movement and without chasing his arms or overextending, so not to create an opening for your opponent to close that distance, but keeping some form of control on your opponent. Ideally your opponent would advance on you, while wailing any attack possible (including hooks and grabs and whatever), and you back up to maintain your distance. Then when you see a chance you run away, probably after some more escape routes open up, or the opponent makes a mistake and you see a chance to stun him for a few seconds. Without the opponent advancing it looks a bit silly, but then again, they might only train a specific part of the drill to get a grasp on the basic movements before moving on to where the opponent is advancing and you need to constantly correct the distance. Then again, they might not understand what they are training anyway. Anecdotally one of Wong Shun Leungs students got ambushed and a guy with a stick broke his arm, which he used to protect his face. At the same time he kicked his opponent, disabling him (I'm guessing by kicking his knee, but I don't know the details). With one arm disabled he used this technique to keep the other attacker(s) at bay until he managed to escape.
im a black belt in taekwondo and whenever i help teach at my dojang i always teach to do the move once slow with compliance, once fast with compliance and then with full resistance
That old guy second from last was Hatsumi. He is a ninjitsu master. Another shady character who leans heavily on tradition. He has an equally shady medical background known as Amatsu.

A finger gun is no joke. Just ask Mr. Bean.
True mr bean knows lol
Lmfao
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Or yuyu Hakusho or whatever that Chinese cartoon is
Lol that's what I was thinking about while watching!
I used to carry a finger gun but one day i was stopped by the police (think somebody tipped them off) i quickly put my hand in my pocket and pulled out a relaxed hand. Those dumb cops searched every inch of my car looking for that gun.
Brilliant move
😆
“Bullets are fast, right?”
This really got me
I dunno. I need someone to prove this?
Martial Arts always looks good when u r not really in combat lol
demos are too good looking as always. cuz it only means to be a body language in dancing or gymnastic forms, or both
That’s for all martial arts, including the real ones
oh my god.. that fat ninja, that's got to be those guys joking around and not something serious.
didn't chris farley do a movie like that?
Hard2hurt, another channel, fought a fat "ninja" at streetbeefs.
Fat ninja looks like he's in the UK. Where only joke martial arts is allowed.
@@LearnTrainPlay yes
The fat is just a decoy. The ninja is hiding inside all of that.
The more vids I watch the more I realize how messy and brutal knife defense really is.
Yep

Everyone sitting in a circle punching each other seems like a great idea to be honest, not really for training though, just for fun
makes good warm-up
"He looks like a Russian master, but he's different." Lol
The best was at 1:51 where after he gets out of the firing line only to grab the gun and put himself in front of the gun again lol
Yea moved out of the way to point the gun at his gut himself
YES.
WHY DID HE DO THAT????
The guy in the video, was making a joke or a funny video..he is actually a black belt jujitsu instructor.
I want to know more about the context of that first clip. It looks like he's an instructor trying to give a seminar in the desert to try to come off as more badass to those huge dudes, but one of them decided to just call him on his bullshit right there.
"I'll need a volunteer for my first demonstration. Come at me like you're gonna stab me with a knife."..."No. Not like that."
Yup, I’ve actually heard instructors say that!😄
Who runs like that with their arm extended straight forward when they're gonna stab someone? Anyone can defend against that.
