    Pressure points are definitely effective and can be incapacitating. Just have to politely ask the person you're fighting to stand perfectly still so you can actually use them.

      Lol. Truth is pressure points are very useful and effective. They aren't a myth either. The problem is the way they are portrayed as if any socker could hit em. Actually, even experts admit that they aren't easy to hit, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE FIGHTING AN OPPONENT WHO IS STILL STRONG ENOUGH TO MOVE AROUND. You want to use pressure points effectively? You'd mostly need to use it on an unsuspecting, perfectly still opponent. Maybe there are people who can do the whole "death touch" thing, but I've never seen any... Those on most martial arts videos... don't let me even get started.

    • @unounk9415
      @unounk9415 4 года назад +18

      The Death Touch is definitely fake. It's been debunked, MMA fighters let a Dim Mak expert hit them with it and they said it just felt like a weak punch and nothing happened. The whole pressure point thing is Woo Woo only one step away from No Touch Knockout woo woo

    Real talk gang, if you want to stop a shotgun attack you just gotta plug the barrel with a finger or two.

    • @5ynthesizerpatel
      @5ynthesizerpatel 6 лет назад +25

      Real real talk gang.
      There is no way to stop a shotgun attack.
      Any attacker with one sixteenth of an ounce of sense (and a shotgun) who genuinely wants to kill you will shoot you in the back when you least expect it - under no circumstances will you ever get the opportunity to put your fingers in the barrel.
      If someone points a shotgun at you and doesn't immediately blow your brains into a fine pink mist, they don't want to shoot you - they want you to do as you are told - however they will shoot you if you do not do as you are told.
      The best way to defend against someone pointing a shotgun at you and wants you to do as you are told?
      Do as you are told.
      Do not attempt to put your fingers in the barrel - that is not doing what you are told and will result in you being shot.
      Same goes for any firearm really - disarming and/or disabling techniques are 100% movie fantasy bullshit and have NOTHING to do with real self defense.

    When I used to kick-box (American style and Muay Thai) we used to get people like that black belt throwing the student, attending our sessions. So we had sessions where each student would get to pick our partner. The entire class would pick that one bloke, each and every one of us. Then we would spar as normal, but add in a hell of a lot of thigh kicks. After 10 or 15 sparrings in a row, they would penguin walk home! Then it was a case of we never saw them again... or they returned with a brand new attitude! Either result was fine with us.

      The last club is just like the Judo Club we just pulled our son from. Black Belts with serious mental health issues trying to persuade the kids in the class that Judo is all you need, its like Judo Players have some kind of insecurity issues or some shit. They turned nasty on my son after he went and done 4months private boxing sessions and upon his return they ostracized him for the most part and would throw him violently. After leaving it came to our realization that the knuckle of our sons femur had doubled in size from consistent fracturing, they will get theirs in due time

      C. Kyle i know that knockout point too. Know what it's called? It's called... 'The back of the head'
      It's not vudu mystical magic, the most common cause for knockouts in MMA (other than ground n pund) s being head kicked, because their foot often hits the back of your head.
      The entire back of the head is vulnerable, because it's not a crumplezone. The frnt of your face is designed to break, the back of your head is not
      So once again i must stress, it is NOT a mystical power, it is NOT a 'knockout point' and it is NOT hard to do. Anybody, and everybody, can knock someone out by hitting them in the back of the head - that's why you tuck your chin in when you do ukemi

      jimmy alderson 1. They are called something like heart 13 or lung 15
      2.There is a technique in kickboxing called richhand (it is forbitten because it hits the nack of the head) where you can hit that ko point. You're right, it is no magical power. Pressure points are mostly places where nerves come together. Ever heard of kyushu jitsu? It's not a martial art for it self but it can be combined with others. It teaches the pressure points. Again, it is indeed magic but a manipulation of nerves. And of course if you hit hard enough you are koed by the impact. Mike Tyson did some pretty good kos via pressure point on the chin (it's called mental nerve I think).

      Mucking about? As the instructor even if you are “mucking” about you do the techniques correctly to avoid injury. I’ve done martial arts my entire life and love Judo with a passion, I watch USA get our butts kicked every year in the olympics.(we got our first gold in it 2016 tho, women’s) That being said, in my experience, no other martial art is ripped off more with fake instructors than Judo. It is a difficult martial art and if you’re not very very good at it you are better off just throwing some punches. I move every three years since I’m in the military and I stop in to Gyms that advertise as Judo thinking I’ll find family and people I can connect with to find a bunch of people getting duped for their money playing at martial arts. I start asking questions about things like the history of Judo and who they went through to certify their belt and it all falls apart. I call them out and people get upset but what if an arms dealer was selling toy guns as real and when you try to defend yourself with it and it doesn’t work. Well that’s how I feel about all martial arts especially Judo. That last guy is a joke and I’d tell em straight to his face.

      Fight Commentary Breakdowns
      The knifeguy is doing that move to switch from backwards grip to forwardgrip while tries to hide (with his fancy moves) that he switched the grip (and so does his attack, from slicing to stabbing)
      I actually think that he is doing a smart thing there, as long as he wears a longsleve + leatherjacket so he can't cut himself in the arm
      And to the wall-hiting thing he is doing i assume that its a defense-move, the imaginary attacker isn't on the wall-side, he is between the guy and the camera, and in a fight the beardguy is clamping the attackers arm (after that one throws a punch at beardguy) between his hand and the wall so he can't defend himself while beardguy stabbing him
      Looks retarded when he is doing it alone but in real it actually may work because i think most people would underestimate him and thinking he is just trying to look fancy

    • @shubhamsharma4877
      @shubhamsharma4877 6 лет назад +3

      u are the first person in so many comments to realise that he is actually good with knife.
      i have also realised that he is very good with knife but most people simply dont understand what he is trying to do.

    • @EnzoMakaveli
      @EnzoMakaveli 6 лет назад +1

      SHUBHAM SHARMA Most people simply understand you simply don't run a blade down your arm full stop

    • @WulfricFenrir
      @WulfricFenrir 6 лет назад +1

      Ben Taylan if you look closely, you see that he is doing it with the back of the blade against his arm, not the edge
      Also he is wearing a jacket and probably a longsleeve (if not even a cutting resistance longsleeve, that's what i would wear if i expect to get in a knife-fight)
      Even if he cuts himself a little bit...if you are in a knife-fight, what do you expect? There is no glorious win in a knifefight, the loser dies on the street and the winner dies in hospital, thats what we say where i am from, if you get in a knifefight, be ready to get cut, that is rule number one, if you are irritated by the first cut you get or the pain you are already a dead men
