Most recently in 2024, I was lightweight winner at the IBJJF Asia Championship in Japan. I was promoted a few months ago to purple belt by Greg Sirico of Odyssey Jiu Jitsu and also just recently won IBJJF Sacramento at purple belt middleweight.
but can’t take down a karateka? What does blue belt mean to you? To the old heads and some new masters blue means your BJJ vs non BJJ will win in the most safe and efficient way possible. No disrespect Josh you’d roll me like sushi but dude you got seriously handled in the first 2 rounds.
Or if the gloves were literally off and any technique to any target was allowed. Of course Classic (not Brazillian) Jiu Jitsu and non sport aspects of Okinawan Karate have this and it is called Atemi-Waza. For a lot of that full power would not even be necessary!
Jesse is a Black Belt with a large experience, the BJJ guy, is just a purple belt who is just in the middle of the way to get his black belt, for sure Jesse has more time as a Karate black belt than the other guy in his entire career as a BJJ practitioner. This is a legit question, indeed 👍
I was #1 ranked M1 blue belt in the world in IBJJF in both feather and lightweight for 2023-2024 with over 70 tournaments in 2 years, including 2nd at Master Worlds, and multiple first place wins at the Master International tournaments in Europe and North America.
@@marco10832I guess he has the rare humility of a trained fighter. Whereas you are more like a social media (insert particular martial arts here) guy
Ah. Your second viral video. Keep it up man
@KARATEbyJesse IS THE MAN! Speaking solid wisdom
Ngl the bjj guy would've died if jesse was using full power
If Jesse put power in to them shots it was game over.
If you understand that, we can not compare. If you would like to see with Fight is more effective 1 vs 1, just watch UFC 1, When we saw BJJ fighter smaller than every one winning the competition.
@@CelloCavalcante the bjj guy doesnt striking expererience and we can clearly see that jesse is very good at keeping distance and has lots of power so jesse could have just kicked the bjj guys liver so hard that it starts bleeding
@@ReadtheBIBLE-f4g sure, it is why I said that one is in another shelf than the other. The BJJ purple belt will learn how to be in the right distance, how to do the appropriate approach and how to properly take some one down , we can see, he is good doing guard, but he still having to learn more from core of Jiu-jítsu
What a highly fun and intelligent exchange, I feel uplifted, thank you!
I love the chemistry between these two. By the third sparring session they looked like they were having a blast together. Good content.
Jesse Enkamp is hilarious. I loved this!
The second round, where he states: “I guess the result of this one is inconclusive”, that’s disingenuous. He’d been punched in the face many, many times at this point. In a real fight, with no gloves, and real striking intent, his face would have been turned into pulp by this point.
‘You’re a human Being not a human Doing’! Massive respect for that moment of wisdom. I’ve done almost all of the martial arts for over 37 years. That comment trumps them all.
People who aren't familiar with him don't realize that Jesse legit can fight. Dude has done all types of competitions
Legit Jessie could probably jack up someone
That was awesome. I’m team Jitsu but this was fun to watch. Nice job sir.
"In a real fight there's no time limit" okay, in that logic in a real fight you're not going to fight on a soft mat😂
... nor 15% strikes ...
Brilliant video. I really liked this as it illustrated Jesse with great humour and appreciation. Wonderful ❤
