    Pressure points, also known as vital points or vulnerable areas, are specific areas on the human body that can be targeted to inflict pain, discomfort, or disable an attacker temporarily in self-defense situations. It's important to note that using pressure points in self-defense should be used with caution and as a last resort. Always prioritize non-violent conflict resolution and, if possible, seek to escape or de-escalate the situation.
    Here are some common pressure points that can be targeted for self-defense:
    Eyes: Gouging or poking an attacker's eyes can cause extreme pain and temporary blindness. This is a highly effective and often instinctual response to a threat.
    Nose: Striking the nose with a palm-heel strike, elbow, or knee can cause significant pain and potentially incapacitate an attacker momentarily.
    Throat: A strike to the throat can cause choking, difficulty breathing, and intense pain. Be very cautious when targeting this area, as it can be dangerous.
    Temples: Striking the temples on the sides of the head can disorient an attacker and potentially cause a knockout.
    Jaw: A powerful punch or upward strike to the jaw can cause pain and disorientation.
    Ears: A hard slap or strike to the ears can disrupt an attacker's balance and disorient them temporarily.
    Neck: Targeting the sides or back of the neck can cause pain and discomfort, especially if you hit sensitive nerve areas.
    Collarbone: Striking or pressing on the collarbone can be painful and may impair an attacker's ability to use their arm.
    Solar Plexus: A strike to the solar plexus (the soft area just below the sternum) can cause an attacker to lose their breath and double over in pain.
    Groin: A kick or knee strike to the groin can incapacitate an attacker, particularly if you're dealing with a male assailant.
    Kidneys: The lower back area just above the hips can be targeted with a hard strike to cause significant pain.
    Pressure Points on Arms and Legs: There are various pressure points on the arms and legs that, when struck or manipulated, can cause pain and temporary disability. These are commonly used in martial arts and self-defense techniques.
    It's crucial to remember that the effectiveness of pressure point techniques can vary based on factors such as an attacker's pain tolerance, adrenaline levels, and body size. Also, relying solely on pressure points may not be sufficient in all self-defense situations. Therefore, it's essential to combine pressure point techniques with other self-defense skills, such as striking, blocking, and evasion, as well as de-escalation and escape strategies. Additionally, self-defense training and knowledge of local laws and regulations are crucial for using these techniques responsibly.

    The problem with pressure points is that they can become ineffective when your opponents adrenaline is pumping.

    • @FightFast
      @FightFast  9 месяцев назад +37

      Adrenaline does not make these nerves strikes less effective. They are not pain compliance techniques. Sending a huge impulse into those nerves is one of the ways to achieve a knockout. Those types of knockouts occur all the time in real fights. The other type of non-choking knock out is a Coup-Contrecoup injury to the brain. All fights happen under an adrenaline dump. That does not prevent knockouts generated by shock to the nervous system.

    You're showing hitting pressure points, Kyusho, which is called 'Sappo' in Koryu (old schools), but you don't apply or show 'Katsu', or healing technique on the pressure point hit, which is called 'Kappo'. These kind of techniques are taught in Koryu, meaning ancient school of martial techniques. Be careful before using these dangerous techniques. And learn healing jutsu on kyusho.

    not everyones nerves are that sensitive.

    • @FightFast
      @FightFast  9 месяцев назад +10

      If a specific technique does not work, you move on to your next target and technique. That's kind of obvious I think. Your criticism is like saying "show what happens if your first punch doesn't knock a guy out" to a guy trying to teach you to throw a punch... You still have to learn individual techniques.

    • @ClydeHUC
      @ClydeHUC 9 месяцев назад

      But they mostly are if you strike corractually period and of course, there's always any number of other moves. After that, as always as the case period something undiscussed usually is. What about a person really high on drugs? I don't like submission holds. I don't like being that close to people. And as a former wrestler, that sounds ridiculous, but it's really dangerous. Engaging someone physically like that. I would rather strike and strike again. Why I like wing Chun? And why like krav Maga also I'm just gonna hit, I don't want to be your best friend holding you. I'm not in the choke outs, just not down with it. It's too dangerous for me, I'm an old man. But face it, any neck chop is an extremely effective. And also for the victim who made themselves a victim, a very dangerous situation. Well they shouldn't have played stupid games

    This isn't realistic no person will open a opportunity for these tactics the last thing you should be doing is engaging in close combat and the other person is bigger this is a fatal mistake wear them down hurt the knees first so they can't move so fast then after about one minute you can land some hits to the ribs but only when you wear them down will a opportunity like this open you're not telling people this they think this is a simple rat fighting technique to end it fast it has a long build up before it can be used

    #3 perfect for knocking people out from behind.
    When it's on, it's been proven that pressure points are baloney.
    Have a good sparring session and see if you can pull any of it off, if you can't, don't do it in rl.
    All #2 is gonna do is piss someone off and make them freak out and fight really hard.
    Just get their elbows up...😂😂😂
    #1 doesn't show what to do with an actively fighting opponent.
    It's just as bad as the others.

    • @Kinotaurus
      @Kinotaurus 9 месяцев назад +2

      In a sparring session the opponent is expecting your attack. The point about pressure points (har-har...) is to catch the sucker unawares.

      Even then it's extremely difficult, because once you try something, BAM!
      They are gonna react very harshly.
      I was a bouncer for many years and never once would I have considered any of this bs.
      How do you plan on catching them unaware... get them from behind?
      Because if they have brought it to the point where you're thinking about doing something they are expecting it.
      Guys don't just stand there and let you do that, if you try any of these in the real world I guarantee you're gonna eat a fist.
