- Theakston Old Peculier is a renowned Old Ale beer produced by Theakston, a brewery located in Masham, North Yorkshire, England. It has an ABV (Alcohol By Volume) of 5.6%. This unique and beautiful brew is highly regarded and loved by many, both in the UK and around the world. It has received numerous awards and is considered a prime example of the finest in British brewing tradition.
Old Peculier is known for its rich and fruity taste. It offers a complex flavor profile that combines warm caramel and roasted nut flavors. As you sip, you'll notice the fruitiness becoming more prominent, with hints of dark cherries, raisins, stewed figs, and prunes. There's also a spicy quality to the beer, with notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. The warmth of vanilla adds to the overall experience. The finish has just the right amount of bitterness, which perfectly complements the style of this beer.
This beer is served best with the PerfectDraft Machine set to between 6-8°C.

I tell you what pal. I had 4 pints of this last Friday and I certainly knew I’d had a drink. Hit me like a bus especially after a days work haha. Very nice beer Indeed I think this might be the best keg they ever ever dropped. Brilliant review as always. Cheers pal 🍻
Cheers mate 🍻
Thanks for the shoutout my brother. I am trying to get back to 3 a week…lol.
No pressure dude 🤣

Thanks 👍 Much appreciated! ❤
100% got to be cellar temp 12c for a great taste of OP, nice Don and I don't mind you getting carried away it's all good information, cheers Don 👍 🍺
Yup, the PD's set to 12C now. They have a disclaimer saying they can't guarantee it'll keep as long. Lol, it won't get the chance to go off 🤣
First had this at 17 before I took an exam in printing, passed easy😂 this great beer still stands at the top of the cask beer table...and u got 3 kegs😂 fantastic
Nice work! Beer makes you brainier 😉😀
A fine fine beer this and ill ne getting more. Enjoy don
I changed it to 12C tonight and it was better 😋
@@DonsBeerReviews there are no rules with the pd pro,.it's a game changer temp control
Well Don, I recall one Tammy Sinclair telling a barman..." If you want an ice-cream soda f#@k off to Jonnie Antonelli's."
You must be close 😂🤣😅🤣
lol, classic! 🤣 Although some are even more like cream sodas, e.g. Vault City from Portobello 👍😀
One of my favourites had a few pints of this on the Golden Fleece in York whilst on a stag weekend. Best thing I drank all weekend
Yeah, I'm enjoying it but I'm trying not to enjoy it too much 😉😀
Beauty indeed. Sessionable and could be dangerous lol . One of, if not the best , kegs currently on PD . I put mine in my normal PD at room temp and start to tan it right away . This beer would suit the PD pro but I’m too poor 😢
We'll have a whip round for you mate 😉👍
Sluuuuuuuuurp a marvellous gargle Don 😁
I don't think i have seen this in the states
Worth a visit to the UK 😉👍
Don't try this at home! 🤣
I boiled the bar mat afterwards to make stock for soup 🤣
