Well done for doing this ,Forced my wife to watch this today, to show her that this has now been scientifically proven by a specialist that its actually cheap to run , (told her you were a professional in your field). I then had the great pleasure in saying "TOLD YOU SO" , she always insisted it was costing us a small fortune for my PD and PD pro to run every day, but with me arguing saying this was not the case. I said it would be a lot cheaper than getting divorce papers sent to me from the lawyer,(£169 last time I checked), so success and win win, keep up the great reviews as always.
For some reason, as soon as I clicked on this vid my youtube recommendations are filled with Karl Pilkington videos. I'm not joking. Perfectly round head. Great vid!
Love this, I have no interest in running costs whatsoever, watched purely for entertainment purposes and you didnt disappoint. Good lad! I bought the original Perfect Draft based on your videos and that hasnt disappointed either. Makes me laugh when people bang on about costs per pint etc............who cares really when you can pour a lovely drop of whatever you choose in your home. Might cost a couple of pence either way.........not bothered, its a little luxury, the wife can go without dinner on a Tuesday to cover the cost!! Keep it up Baldy!
Cheers! I get quite a few messages about the costs so thought if I did this it might help a few out. And like I say, it's all about perspective! 💯 Agree! It's a luxury item and a damn good one at that! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! 👍🍻
nice test! I measured the same values for the non pro version! Do you have any idea about the operating noise of both machines (when they already hit 3°C and are idling), what are your feelings about it?
Great video my man. My ears pricked up when you mentioned the Air fryer as I got one for Christmas and the missus hasn't touched the cooker since lol. As for the PD if I don't finish a keg in one evening (which doesn't happen too often) it gets switched off and the keg is left in a cool place until the next time I'm planning on having a few pints. If I decide out of the blue I fancy a few pints I will put a keg in the blade which is cool in about 20/30 minutes.
Can't say for sure if you can get it in NY, but worth checking this out us.perfectdraft.com/ The kegs look different and there's limited choice at the moment, but the machines the same. Looks like goose Island ipa is coming soon, which is a belter 👍🍻
Great video. Thanks for taking the time and effort to make it👍 Just taken delivery of Green Mountain for the first time so looking forward to your thoughts. Keep up the good work.
@@BigBaldReviews could be a great new addition to the bar. I am wanting a beer machine this year but there are pros and cons for all of them. Its a bit mind boggling 😂
PD been sat gathering dust for 6 months since the price hikes and along with all my mates feeling the same, beer hawk pricing themselves out of business.
@Big Bald Reviews - I did a video series on PerfectDraft Pro / Blade & Sub power usage last year with over a months usage in there - the Blade is by far the cheapest machine and can happily cool to 2C constantly for less than the PD Pro uses even in Eco mode. At the same temps there's no comparison. Running a PD with variable temperature modifications for now and as you've found the old machine uses that bit less. The channel is here for if anyone is interested in the more technical side - www.youtube.com/@afaceforradio3830
@@BigBaldReviews thanks you too mate, keep that great content coming. I did bang on about power usage and they came out with eco mode eventually so it all helps everyone🍻
Nice little feature there mate. One thing I have to ask (sorry), did your KWH costs include your standing charge too - that’s where the buggers make their money?
Holds it's temperature really well, whereas the original did struggle. Mines usually in my pub shed, so it can get warm in there, but the pro had no problems holding it's temp even on the hottest days last year! 👍🍻
Ideal video to watch for anyone who wants to buy it. Also I think it would help if you did a review on the new zero alcohol corona keg as I reckon a few are curious to know, including me 😅😅
Ive been wondering about the running costs for a while but couldnt be arsed to do my own experiment so this is perfect thanks 😃 👍 Looking forward to your review of the green mountain keg as it's currently on the multi buy and i'm swithering 😃
This is what i search for! MY original PD is loud. The Fan is soo noisy. Ist all cleaned up and i try other fan. doesnt help. i buyed it used. The 40W is once a day for a hour. sometimes 2 times a day the other 23h, 22h is 70W. This is massive energy cost. 20h @ 70W with 28,02cent cost = 1,4Kwh and 2h @ ~38W = 0,076kwh = roundabout 1,5kwh per day which is 44cent per day. i think my machine is not so good. i buyed after this video the Pro directly from Perfect Draft in French. 8h 120W and 16h 5W is less cost on energy Invoice This machine cost me 29cent per day. its worth it and the silent machine. i hate this fan on original PD
Ian the Blade uses a lot less - through summer last year it was using almost a quarter of the PD Pro. I've got quite a few videos covering it over on my channel if you want a nosey.
PerfectDraft is a luxury item, the beer is premium beer. If cost is an issue for you then dont bother buying it. Its probably the most expensive way to enjoy a drink at home.
You should be roasting ur tatties with ur chicken mate 😂, but as for the pd thanks for the comparison. Just on the Frankie Royal @7° perfection and saving a bit of Power as well🍻

I've heard the Blade does cool a lot quicker. It does depend like you say how much you have and when you intend to have more.

This was a brilliant video. Thank you, sir. Would you be able to do the same test on the blade and the sub?

I'd be able to do it on the sub! Unfortunately I don't have a blade though! Maybe that's what I should purchase this year! 🤔👍🍻
