I think the 6L is better than the 8L I don’t think that would fit in my fridge. The blade machine is clearly quality - probably a better built machine - but it falls well short of the PD Pro in a number of key areas; - machine price - keg loading (that thing where you have to run the line along the side isn’t a good design IMO) - variety of kegs - no keg return - this is the big one - no temperature control. I’m a geek and love the App as well.
Thanks for the great video. Just received word from beerwulf (in The Netherlands) that they discontinue the sub with 2L kegs still being offered into 2026, afterwards the machine will be useless. They do offer a discount voucher for the Blade (75 EUR on a 450 EUR machine), but I honestly feel that Heineken is completely unreliable in offering long term support. I bought my sub last summer and now I already own an obsolete product. Their trackrecord with the original Beertender discontinuation a couple of years ago also isn't great. I'm not sure I want to reward these kind of business practices by getting a Blade. Been looking at inBev's Perfect draft system as a consequence and honestly, it looks great! The system has been around for ages, and they never changed the kegs forcing people to upgrade to another machine (which they could have easily done with the PD pro). 5L also seems like the perfect keg size. Thanks for this comparison, it's gonna be the Perfect Draft for me!
Hello mate, Thanks for the great feedback. Yes we knew a while ago about the sub bit gutted to be honest. For me though I dunno what it is with Heineken god knows. PerfectDraft all the way. Pro if possible as complete game changer. Philips still good if not. Remember We review almost all the new kegs and the old ones roughly once a year... Any questions always ask...
Hi guys, I have just spoken to Beerwulf and they said they will be bringing more options to the Blade this year. They said the Beertender, the 5 litre option will be replacing the Sub as well. So we have some good options at least. 👍
PD for me, got no space in kitchen for both…would have to throw out the kettle, microwave and toaster but would that be a bad thing for a beer lover? 😂

Fantastic news that is mate 👍😍
I hear the power consumption is 4- 5 times that of the Blade on the Pro and can you verify it
Nah its not that bad mate blade meant to take less but I'm not 100% sure..

Tempting but Microwaves can be handy for reheating the Kebab next day... 😉

@@returnoftheponderer that’s it Marc they take up fair too much space 😂
@@ratemybeer1 the over priced kebab

if both kegs where the same size perfect draft and the blade which one would win
Perfectdraft for me allday long mate...
Great vid mate, it’s swings and roundabouts these days with these machines. Unless you like the beers then you ain’t buying
Definitely spot on mate
I think your adepts actually want to know which one you would keep if you had to give up one
If only one would be Perfectdraft Pro all day long...
Both great but the blade looks better in my bar
But looks is not everything...
