Got this light for 150$ on T Rex arms website along with a purchased new holster to accommodate new light….highly recommend…brightest light I’ve ever had on a pistol! And still super easy to EDC

I'm going to try and get it to the range this weekend as well. I'll be sure to reply here with the results but it looks/feels great.

This has been on my list for awhile, eventually I'll talk myself into it instead of another knife. 😆
I currently have an Olight PL Mini 2. Nothing wrong with it, I just like the design of the Streamlight better.

It fits my safariland holsters made for the TLR-7 without any modification. Really like this light so far.

Yeah me too. Thanks for the heads up on the holster, I was looking at them the other night.

Is it the safariland Haley strategic incog?

@@abc4781 I forget, I'd have to redo my search again. I hear great things about their customer service though so if nothing else shoot 'em an email.

Got my HL-X as soon as it was available. This one makes other compact lights obsolete. Tenicor has a holster that works with it, with or without a light. And I’m not putting an Olight on my carry weapon.

You're not the only one to express that sentiment. I also reached out to Modlite but I don't think they care about me.

Will this work on the hellcat pro? That list you showed only said the xd?

That is a great question. I would reach out directly to Streamlight.

30 mins on high is a bit too short on the run time at that output for me. The light not being flush can be a plus as if you need to jam the gun into the target, doing so will not cause the out-of-battery problem a flush mount light might.

What situation do you think you’ll find yourself in where you need more than 30 minutes of shining your weapon mounted light? Are you LEO or MIL?

@@KnifeNinjaEDC The situation of a world WROL (Without Rule of Law), some type of Civil War again, or a WWIII. Or even taking the light off the gun to use as a back-up flashlight, if the main flashlight has gone down, due to being destroyed, damaged, out of battery.

I suppose it calls for stocking up on CR123As in that scenario. Pretty much all WMLs are going to be bad in a WROL unless you still have a way to recharge, as some of the rechargeable ones don't have removable batteries, and others like this have a less than common fuel source compared to AAA/AA options. Ideally for that scenario one that runs on 14500/AA would be best.

@@dalestark3343 I'd also probably try to avoid getting in a situation where I have to jam a distance tool into a person. Can't imagine one come to think of it.

@@IllinoisDailyCarry No one is going to try to be in that situation. However, last I heard most defensive shooting take place at or near 7 ft. If shot placement isn't perfect the attacker could be on you within 1-1.5 seconds, which is why they tell you to hit the attacker and try to back up (to create space) so the gun will function correctly. At least with the light protruding from the end of the mount/rail past the barrel, there will be a much less likely of a chance to take the gun out of battery.
