@@WerkzHolsters Fun thing about the PX4, unlike the Beretta 92. You can convert a safety/decock model to G/decocker only, just by taking a detent out of the lever assembly. Thats a very good increase/update from the tlr-7 sub. It almost makes it worth for me if I didn't already own the Foxtrot2R . For the price and the similarity in specs (specially Candela and CRI) it's not worth the upgrade for me (plus a new holster). I would consider this light if I didn't own one and was in the market for a WML. Great review as always.
Luv you guys, always great information and candela and lumen explanations and you even get me sometimes on new product launches that I might have missed!
Maybe Streamlight is going to do an update for the TLR 1HL ....but I sure hope they will do the upgrade in a way that doesn't force anyone to buy a whole new weapon light, like with this one does...

I’m in the process of returning the second Foxtrot2R to Sig for a replacement. Conversely, the Streamlight 7A and TLR-1 HL handles 10mm just fine… and I told this to Sig.
I have been running the TLR-7a for years now, and honestly this has impressed me enough to upgrade. Especially since it will give me slight standoff with the muzzle of my conceal carry pistol.
I think Streamlight is slowly updating all their older lights with higher output (both lumens and candela) they seem to have started with the rifle lights with the Protac 2.0 and then the HL-X pro (the better of the two lights definitely) and then the rail mount HL and now the TLR7 HL-X, I'd be VERY surprised if we don't see an updated TLR1 HL-X very soon. Comparing the older protac Railmount HL-X with the pro, they're externally identical (aside from the updated tailcap which is backwards compatible by the way), but the LED emitter has been changed (and it presumably is just a much higher performance LED emitter with not a ton of other changes) they both offer 1000lumens, but the new Pro model has basically double the candela of the older model. With companies like modlight and surefire (and cloud defensive if they ever release their EPL series of lights) releasing much higher candela pistol lights streamlight has been getting left behind in recent years. I know personally (I have a lot of family members in multiple "local" police departments) many police departments have shed their older TLR1-HL lights in favor of modlite or surefire pistol lights, so I'd bet streamlight has been feeling the loss of sales lately. The only saving grace for streamlight with many departments is that EVERY holster company makes holsters for the TLR1-HL because it has been one of the top "go-to" lights for so long. Sure do wish it had a strobe option
They need to improve the ease of charging on these. It's one thing to slide back a port cover and plug in a USB cable, as you do with a MicroStream flashlight. It's another to have to unscrew the front cover, slide the battery out, and plug a cable into that, then slip a charged battery back into the light and screw the front cover back on.
Hey man, im just wondering how far you are away from the weapon lights when you do the candela testing in this video?
I'm right at 40 feet away for these beam shots.
"Hey man"? How about Sir? Like thank you sir for making these videos for us.
Are you making a holster for M&P 2.0 4” compact w/Tlr-7 Hlx ? I really want to try your holster.
I think that would be possible in the future... any other M&P 2.0 users out there?
@WerkzHolsters m&p 2.0 3.6" is my edc since 2018. Super reliable, great pistol
stream light has pulled through, Cloud defensive has failed.
Would you recommend the streamlight tlr-7 hl-x or the modlite pl350c ?
Holosun PID
Make an IWB left hand appendix holster for a Hellcat PRO with this new TLR-7 HL-X and I'll buy two. I have two of your holsters already for Hellcat PRO with a TLR-7 Sub.
EDIT: Make some left hand appendix options for Wather PDP compact 4 inch with a Surefire X300 and this new TLR-7 HL-X and I'll buy those as well.
Will this light fit a glock 47?
Will you have this light with holster combo for the Gen 5 Glock 23?
If demand is sufficient! The G23/5 is such a niche player anymore though...
Does this fit the Sig p365 axg legion?
I think the TLR-7 HL-X is quite a bit longer than the P365. Either way, we do not currently have the TLR-7 HL-X support for the P365 pistols.
If only y’all made holsters for the vp9sk
I would love to see demand for more HKs. I'm carrying the P30L Light LEM with an optic cut currently.
I hope someone does a video on how to convert a kydex holster, made for a TLR-7 to the TLR-7 HLX. (Hint hint)
Now we just need to pester Streamlight enough to make a TLR-7 Sub HL-X 😏
I need a TRL 8 HL X
IWB holster for P30 with this light is needed, make it and it will get bought.
Do yall sell the streamlight tlr7 hlx for the Glock 43x?
The G43x MOS rail is not the right size for the TLR-7 (non-sub) lights. We have to wait for a Sub version to come out...
Excelente
now they just need a tlr-7 sub HL
Cobray m-12 holster please
With the TLR-7 HL-X mounted?
Cool another light that would literally blind me if I ever had to use it in the middle of the night for home defense.
Dude it will not blind you unless you are just dumb. I have tested “blinding myself” with a cloud defensive rein 3.0 which is almost 100k candela by shining it on a white wall. And guess what I was still able to see just fine. Stop spewing fudd lore
I see that you do not offer a Glock 43x MOS IWB holster with the TLR7- HLX… will that be changing soon? I buy my holster from muddy river tactical and I have not been happy with my last two. Granted the ones I bought didn’t accept a light. But I am about to buy the TLR7HLX… and I’ve seen awesome reviews for your holsters.. the only holster I saw that closely fits my needs accepts the TLR7 Sub only… not the HLX. Thoughts?
You may wish to check with Streamlight but my understanding is they not offer a TLR-7 HL-X fitment for the Glock 43x / 48 pistols as of this time. The G43x MOS rails aren't as wide as a regular pic rail.
@@WerkzHolsters according to many videos it fits. But I guess I’m not sure!! it’s the same light as the TR seven sub just with a different endcap. So if the TLR seven sub fits the 43X then so does
This.
@@Jroberts273 Please check with Streamlight directly on this, as they are the authority. Yes, the TLR-7 Sub for Glock 43x fits, but it uses different rail clamps. There are a number of differences between the TLR-7Sub / Glock and the TLR-7A / 7X / 7 HL-X.
There is no reason to pick any other compact light now.
No Origin holster for the TLR-7 HL-X on Glock 19 or 45 platforms. Disappointed.

Love your videos, but could do without the background music. Just my two pesos.
I've been saying for nearly a year now that the TLR1 HL desperately needs to be updated. My Holosun PID Plus outperforms all of my TLR1's, which is sad because I absolutely love them.
The comments on this video seem to reflect your opinion, and many are speculating the TLR-1 could get an update in the future. If Streamlight does release an upgraded TLR-1, we'll bend over backwards to get it reviewed quickly!
@WerkzHolsters outstanding, I'm really looking forward to an update from them. I'm buying a few regardless, but hot diggity, your reviews are next level. A lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Ya'll are doing potentially life saving work with the holsters and light reviews. God bless ya'll.
still none compare to the candela of zbolt lep weapon lights
Yes, LEP is a different beast altogether. We've done some feature videos on LEP in the past. I'm waiting to see how that tech develops.
What holster compatibility exists for the zbolt?
@@freneticfanatic it’s a rifle light. I guess if your rail is long enough, one could use the shorter version then I would probably have a holster made by one of the 1000s of kydex holster makers.
Px4 worst gun ever - right sized pebble and that gun is locked up completely
We need a TLR-7 HL-X SUB, come on Streamlight!
