Courting the attention of competitive shooters, Olight recently launched a new red and green dot for pistols called the Osight. A few optics companies already offer “big window” dot sights, but Olight’s new model is getting much attention not only for its price, but also for the amount of features it offers. And yes, it’s rechargeable. The sight comes with a magnetic charging cover featuring a display that reveals the precise battery levels for both the cover and the optic. Osight says it should give you over 70,000 hours of use on the lowest brightness setting. The magnetic charging cover contains an additional 800-mAh battery to keep it topped off. What really struck me about Olight’s Osight was the extremely generous window and clarity when looking through it. The 0.94 x 0.85-inch objective lens provides a huge window size compared to many other reflex optics without feeling like you have a massive fixture on your rail.

I have 2 and lo e them. I was tired of pulling a gun out of the safe after a couple months and having a dead battery. Olight for the win!
Umm. No thank you. I will stick with Trijicon, Holosun, and Aimpoint.
So Olight popped their cherry! 😉 The 2nd or 3rd time is likely to be more satisfying. 😁
Looks like a great option as I have always been a fan of their tactical flashlights 👍
I also own a couple of their flashlights. My favourite is the Warrior X4. Thanks for watching!
Junk.
Does not hold zero.
Been asking for a red/green dot for YEARS ...
Many reviews so far complain of the optic losing zero easily. I haven’t tried it personally, so I don’t know.
I will stay with holosun
You’ve used some of them I assume? Have you used other brands to compare them to? I’ve been shooting for a fairly long time, but have always been into antique guns, and traditional iron sight marksmanship, but have recently delved into modern stuff. So I’m thinking of getting a red dot for my Sig pistol, amd saw these holosun ones, but have no idea who they are, or about their quality.
They partnered with holosun to design this
Lovin' mine ...getting close to 1000rds...still holding zero...
I've heard the biggest complaint is that it won't hold zero. Maybe you got the good one? I'm glad it works for you. I'm still investigating this vs the Holo EPS MRS carry green.
@@Michael-my6joHe is lying.
@@Michael-my6joGo with Holosun every single time, this is not a serious sight, this is a pathetic attempt to get money from dumb people who instead of wanting a reliable tool to defend themselves, they want gimmicks and BS like magnetic charging bases. Chances are if you read allot of reviews saying they suck, and one dude on an AI voiced videos comment section says it good, the one person is probably lying.
@@vilecreature8640 went with the EPS Carry. Thanks for your input! Be safe out there.
@@Michael-my6jo You too hope it's doing its job well.
Definitely junk. Stick with Holosun, Trijicon,or Aimpoint.
Did you tested it? Of course the Holosun and Trijicon dots are better but also 2x the price.
I'll bet you said the same thing about Vortex.

As a course of life and reality, I already buy enough foreign-made items. In this case, and nearly all my arms-related equipment and accessories, I will stick to American-made. That being said, I totally understand the market for the less expensive items too. One can't always afford to "Cry Once".
Title is b.s…”everybody is talking about”. Dude, nobody is talking about “O-Light”. This is low end, Temu grade garbage.

If this is installed on a slide cut, There is no way that battery cover will go all the way down to charge it as shown. Right?
Actually you can…. Check other reviews. Some have tried it.

I heard it doesnt keep zero on their red ones...
Also I think instead of USBc they should've stuck to their magnetic charging like on their weapon lights... missed opportunity there imho
Would love to try one on a shotty though to see if it actually holds up though, if it does, it's a sure winner.
I bought a green one and it doesn’t hold zero on a 9mm
That sucks. I was thinking it was a Reddot only issue.
it seems to be a QC issue, although I dont know what would cause some to hold zero, while others lose zero if you sneeze on it. My only guess is the spring/detent system has some bad parts or parts that were installed incorrectly (detent backwards possibly). The one I was sent is holding zero, once I used different screws. The originals for my Zev cut slide were too short. Im currently working with them and they are improving the screws though. Ill be releasing another video at some point, to see if that issue has been resolved.

I tried one. Gotta chase that shit aound, in case you never used one. There’s no static red dot at center. It is like a little target you gotta place over the subject, so you better not have shaky hands. For operators on short missions, maybe they could rely on them not dying in the middle of a firefight- at which time, you have to rely on your regular sights anyway, so I suggest for regular dudes to just get good with your iron or fiber optic options, and maybe use these for the range just for a new experience.

What is that…like a 10 moa dot?
At least…
No, Ive seen a couple reviews of different red dots, including one I own, and showing it on camera is just stupid. I’m sure it looks nothing like that
For some reason I just can't watch a video with AI voice. As soon as I hear it I click off of it

Everybody seems to hate this light. Weird title.
So far mine has been flawless. It’s my first green dot so I don’t have any other to compare it too. It has held zero on my combat tti. My old man even loved it, and he is an iron sights man all the way lol
You buy a nice firearm like a TTI and then put an Olight product on it 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@HazardousRob never had a green dot, didn’t want to spent a ton to find out my old ass likes iron sights better. Got it on sale, Olight has been nothing but flawless on the other stuff I own, and with the lifetime warranty why not. I’m not a brand snob like many I just want it to work and it has flawlessly at close to 2000 rounds later.
@sisyphus2k237 because their stuff is so cheaply made they can afford to replace it over and over.
@@HazardousRobinstead of judging him for it, why don’t you go buy a TTI and put something else on yours. He said he has no issues with it, so why bother with anything else when he found something he likes?
@@HazardousRobpeople love talking bad about a product they have never owned. i don’t have the osight but i have plenty of pistol lights and one of my fav is an olight. isn’t that funny. it’s my fav because of its easy detachability while still holding zero when put back.
Love mine no issue on my Echelon..🎉

after 1 time to the range I sent it back. didn't hold zero at all

according to the site it is not compatible
Yeah but can you put the charger on while it’s fixed to the gun?
@@NASTYVEGASNATE yes I it put it on when cleaning the gun to protect the sight
Yes otherwise you have to remove from the gun to charge and you loose zero
Chinese own junk.....not quality product😮
Name the country that all the other popular ones are made in.
Didn’t know that Olight makes res dots too
Along with knives….
Price 💰 ?
$199 for the red dot and $299 for the green dot

@@survivalgearofficial It's 229 for the green dot
Cool red dot sight and affordable too.
Indeed, it’s a nice red dot.
