    Thanks for this info!
    Ya’ll, make sure you register your Bissell products on their website and keep proof of your purchase. The warranty is 3 years on these. I got the 1548F in October of 2021 and it completely died last week- I contacted Bissell about the warranty. They asked for a pic of the white label on the bottom, the model number and serial number, and proof of purchase. They gave me two local shops to call to fix this for free and both shops they gave me were out of business.
    I called a third place to see if they honored Bissell warranties for fixes and they asked which model. I told them it was the orange 1548F and they said they don’t even bother trying to fix those because it’s outdated and the motor on those die after 1-2 years, then told me to just tell Bissell to send me a replacement.
    I called Bissell back and they said, no problem, we will send you a new model/newer unit and you’ll get it in the next 3-4 biz days. The blue one is en route right now.
    Bottom line: go online and register your products. If you’re going to spend the money, you might as well have the investment be protected.

    Just to let you know all you guys who are making these videos if you would just tell people to get anti foam powder and you won't have to worry about your vacuum stopping because the dirty tank is full because it senses that there is no suction because of the suds and that will eliminate your problem of it stopping and you can fill the tank up all the way,. As a professional cleaner that's what we have to do all the time otherwise there will be no suction or the suction will run out very quickly. So put a little anti-foaming powder in your dirty water tank and you will be all set.

    Great explanation on how to choose the right bissell! The turbo is good but I already have a revolution!

    How come the water/solution doesn't spray/suck back up like yours? Matter a fact. Where is the main sprayer located?

      The purple also has updated version. I’d like to understand the order where the purple falls. I think it’s the
      Gold with steam but no steam in hand wand 😒
      Purple with turbo and spot sprayer (old non turbo and lacking features)
      Blue turbo
      Orange

    Excellent tutorial - Thank you - Bissel's product line is VERY confusing - and of course on-line sellers are moving no longer manufactured models - adding to the confusion..
    .. And Thank you for talking about the hydrosteam... It wasn't on my radar before viewing your video..

    Wait how is it that the orange non-turbo picked up way more liquid on the extraction pass then the blue turbo?? If you look at the side by side test with the coffee spill and you see the amount of liquid the orange one is picking up it's a whole lot more and a whole lot faster, but yet the blue turbo one is supposed to have better suction? I'm confused.

    I bought the turbopet clean for my area rugs due to my small apartment. After hours of use, I cannot remove set in coffee, carpet stains. Is it worth me returning and spending over a hundred more for a turbo? Or do all of them work the same for set in stains. With the difference being the number of passes? I also found the hydrosteam for 200 on marketplace? I did run my steam cleaner over my carpets after applying the pre treatment and before running my turboclean, but tge stains barely removed

      hi! are you using enough solution or a powerful enough stainlifting solution? If its a heavy stain, pretreat it, break it up with a old toothbrush, pretreat it again, wait 15 mins and then use your Bissell.
      Steam is great for organic stains. BUT for the most agressive stains, get this Capture Carpet & Rug Dry Cleaner: amzn.to/3X2HQ4l
      Then use it first, then use your bissell.
      I find this works for almost all stains if its a removeable stain. (some stains will be forever).

    I really hope they improved the suction because any Bissell I have ever used in the past left my berber way too wet... no matter how many dry passes...I think these work better on medium or high pile carpet... the front isn't heavy enough to push down into the carpet...adding a hand weight to the front (which luckily is flat) really helps it extract more water. Imagine if you're using the hand tool for spot cleaning. When you're using the tool you literally push it into whatever you're cleaning to get the most water out... When using it in upright mode.... you can't push down so you're sort of at the mercy of how much the front pushes down on its own...so adding a weight I think is best..

      Hi! If you are looking for suction power, try the new Shark carpet xpert because suction is very good on this unit and works well for low pile carpets. heres my review if you want more info

    Last night I bought the blue one off Amazon since it was on sale but I was about to purchase the hydrosteam one but I don’t think I would use it often because only my upstairs is carpeted but I do have a carpet extractor I use for my cars so my next choice was the orange one but I only see the difference is the little brushes on the side for the base board trim but it’s 75 dollars more for the orange one which I’m not sure why. I do have a steamer as well so I can always use that to spot clean then extract so that’s why I didn’t buy the hydro steam

    Fyi, club models are baby blue, for both pre and post turbo refresh. The extra 9 on the hydro just means has is extra accessories

    What about leaks? I had an ancient Bissel from 20 years ago and it leaked anytime you finished cleaning the carpets and then placed the unit back in the upright position. I always had to finish cleaning carpets on a hard surface or I would leave wet stains in the carpet. It was easier just to throw a dirty dish towel on the kitchen floor to soak up the puddle. That was an annoyance.

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Год назад

      hi! i have never had any leaks because of how they sealed the systems now. also you can get replacement parts for the bissell as the main leak areas are still plug and play with the exception of the motor.

    How does this compare to hiring a professional carpet cleaner?

  • @RobFeldy
    @RobFeldy Год назад

    Missed the biggest test between them. So to test the "'heating" technology start with COLD water, get the temp.. Run both for 10 minutes then test the temp of the COLD water before and after.. See if there is any chance.. Am willing to bet the heating feature is total BS. Heating water by using air flow takes FOREVER. Using hot water will be your best bet.. Also can do the same test with HOT water. See if actually keeps the water HOT.. what's the temp diff. Thanks for the good content.. Can also test without the heating using another wet vac see if there is any diff. to prove it's is BS feature..
    You know I use my hair dryer to warm up my coffee every day! 😊 revolutionly BS

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Год назад +1

      Hi! I think the closest comparison is a warming plate for food. The heat from the motor takes forever so I advocate for starting with warm-hot water (100-120 degrees) from the get go. If you start that way, your water will stay hot and it does help clean carpets. However, most people will add the solution, water and go clean right away. So if you use cold water (under 50 F), it will still be cold after you finish your session.
