    I’ve actually get a genuine question. When the unit is in its resting upright position, does the brush roller rise slightly to reduce wear? A CRB has a resting plate so it’s bristles are not subjected to floor to reduce damaging it.

    I’ve had this vacuum for a few years now and it’s still going strong. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was cleaning it today and thinking about how much I love no bags to buy and that it comes apart for easy clean up. When I first purchased it we had two dogs and a cat and it kept up well. The suction was great then and still is now. I’m always amazed at the amount of hair it picks up, it works better than any other vacuum I’ve had for pet hair. The attachments are handy and work well. It’s easy to use with arthritic hands. I just had to come write a review because I’m still so pleased with this purchase.

    Thank for review. What about accessories: does they work with steam? Hose just spray solution as before or can do steam as well ? How is suction power - is lower/higher or same as proheat model ?

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Год назад +3

      Hi! Thanks for the question. The accessories work exactly like on the 2x proheat revolution. The liquid connection and suction ports are the same on both units except the revolution hydrosteam now comes with an updated cover that's easier to open. Whatever the temp of the water was that you added will be the temp of water. You have to trigger the steam on the handle when on floor cleaning mode and that is not available in hose/hand tool mode. Regarding suction power on the hand tools (2 in 1 or 3",6") I did not notice any difference with the proheat except I think the revolution hydrosteam has the same suction power as the "turbocharged" motor in the 2023 2x proheat.

      Yes (I have a cat) but your main limitation for odor and cat urea (more concentrated than urine) will be refilling/empty the tanks. • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! A little green pet pro will be better at extracting than the revolution will. If you have a heavy stain on sofa cushions, any revolution model would require more passes/more effort with the little green pet pro and longer dying times. My personal favorite is the bissell hydrosteam spot cleaner. Bissell upgraded most of the things on little green and added steam with improved suction. It's about $20 more than the little green pet pro on sale and worth it. I have a comparison video explaining all the spot cleaners that helps explain the differences between models. ruclips.net/video/TmU98EvoO0k/видео.html

First impressions - I like how much water and solution this puts into the rug but on the flip side you have to refill often. Keep a gallon of solution because you will go through it quickly. Very strong suction. Very easy to clean after complete. I have dogs and there is alot of hair in my carpet and I was able to clean it out quickly and easily . Long cord so I don't have to keep unplugging and switching outlets. It is heavier then my previous unit so lugging it to the second floor is a chore. @TheFrenchGlow  10 месяцев назад

      Hi I compared other wet dry vacs to the hydro steam after the fact and having used it repeatedly on my carpeted floors. Having less extraction could be due to the type of carpet and if the subflooring/carpet padding is old or squishy. If you saturate the carpet too much to the point of saturating the material underneath, I like to take a dry towel, place it on top and step down repeatedly.

    While Hydrosteam looks to be an excellent carpet cleaner - more than a shampooer - your testing is flawed is so many ways, that there was only one real situation you cleaned the carpet; a wet stain spread around a bit. It was never demonstrated on a stain that had been set by time or temperature. Any carpet shampooer can clean a wet stain out of a carpet if you have enough chemical to soak it with. When the Proheat 2X was demonstrated I assume the staining materials were applied to the carpet that had already been cleaned and left damp from the Hydrosteam. It would be great to see a follow up where you apply the same stain and leave it in the sun for about a week and then try and clean it.

    I used to have an older let revolution like 10 years ago and I didn't like it at all. It just wasn't a good machine for me. So I replaced it with a Rug Doctor. I don't remember what the model is but about 5 years ago it was the highest model without going commercial. It cleans great but it's bulky, loud, heavy and there's no way to clean out the brush cover and some of the internals without completely taking it apart. With 2 pets my vacuum doesn't ever get all the hair, even though it's a very highly rated one. Some of it just gets trapped down in. The hair and fuzz and stuff ends up clogging the scrubber. Such a pain. I was looking into a steam cleaner to keep up with my kids and pets messes and found this one and so far everyone has nothing but praise for it. Seems like it covers all my issues with the Rug doctor and seems to clean just as well while adding the steam function I was looking for. I think I'll be buying a new scrubber here soon. Thanks for the video.

    Revolution hydrosteam compared to Crosswave hydrosteam?

  • @patrickfaulkner3714
    @patrickfaulkner3714 Год назад +1

    Does the hydrosteam also have the heat wave technology?

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Год назад

      Hi! The heat wave is actually the heat from the motor blowing up into the clean water tank. You have to use hot water when you fill the tank and the heat wave keeps it hot. If you use cold water, you would have to leave the motor on for a long time to get it warmer. The hydrosteam heats the water up on its own (think a electric tea kettle) to produce the steam.

    The 2 in 1 upholstery tool is worthless. Tried it on my curtains. All it did was make them wet. Hardly any suction at all even with an empty dirty water container . My regular vacuum had 10x more suction than that.

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Год назад

      Hi, for curtains, you have to lay it down on the floor and make sure they are completely flat. I imagine you would have to clamp it down. It's really for sofas and upholstered furniture. Anything free flowing like a curtain, the suction power of the tool wouldn't be able to pull the solution out. Even the bissell spotclean pro which is designed only for spot cleaning would have a hard time with curtains. There is also no steam when you use it as an upholstery tool.

      Hi! Use a small thin stick on the bottom of the handle. There should be a small hole where you can press the lock button to release the handle. You do not need to press hard but it does require some force. Don't try to force the wand out and just shimmy it up and out.

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Год назад +2

      I have a loop 9 x 12 rug and it does not damage or pull out the fibers but check the material (nylon and polyester more suspestable to damage from high heat) and test it as the steam is much hotter than proheat. I would not recommend the crosswave hydrosteam for any type of carpet. It's really only for hard floors.

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  Год назад

      Hi! For the revolution hydrosteam, it is strictly for carpet but there is a bissell crosswave revolution for tiles and hardwood. You can also consider the Tineco s5 steam as well. The main issue is carpet cleaners come with aggressive brushes that might damage hard floors if it's used too much.
