Probably, it didn't take so much convincing with the rest of Journey when Neil Schon presented to them his incredible find on RUclips--the long lost twin brother of Steve Perry which was Arnel Pineda.
Steve caused the rise and fall of Journey by his long absence. His last concert tour was 1989. Schon and Cain had to start from scratch to rebuild the fanbase of Journey. Now they are a multigenerational and glibal band.
