I saw Europe when I was 16 and 46. They definatelty aged between those 2 eras, but dont seem to have not aged in the last 20 years. Also, they were much heavier second time around. Maybe they just moved in the market, but I didnt remember them as Heavy Rock in the 80’s. Great band and songs all the same...
They play old songs half step down so that Joey doesn't blow his voice. It happens when you get old and also makes the songs sound heavier. When they reunited in 2004, they didn't want to do what they did in 80s and wanted to be like a new band so they wrote and recorded songs in drop D tuning.

I remember growing up my dad would play this song every year when the ball dropped for the new year I absolutely love this group I do the same thing with my kids I may have a bad relationship with my father but im going too keep this tradition going
