That's true. But what people overlook, Arnel wasn't just some guy doing amateur gigs --he has been performing for 25 years in the band circuit in Manila and Hong Kong --doing it for a living since he was 15. He's got all the experience as a frontman and developed the skills and the moves over decades before the opportune moment when fate and destiny collided when Neal Schon saw that youtube video --Arnel was more than ready and had the talent to front a band like Journey. Cream rises. Mind boggling to think that a singer of that caliber couldnt make it in his own country. Real recognize real as they say and Journey saw that they had a diamond in the rough.
Arnel has got an incredible voice and great stage presence. I watched a documentary about how he joined Journey. He seems like a genuinely nice guy who is one of Steve Perry's biggest fans and is so honoured to be his successor with the band.
Arnel is practically a national hero in the Philippines. My daughter's two best friends from college are Filipina. They day after I saw Journey live in 2011, I was on phone with my daughter telling her about the concert. She asked me how the new lead singer was, and in the background I heard her roommate asking excitedly "Are you talking about the guy from Journey?" Filipinos have a very strong sense of National pride, and they all adore their countrymen who become famous.
@@kazumi1315 you have no idea lol i can play journey songs and 80s if you may. dont get me wrong, im not bashing arnel. hes the closest thing to steve perry. the comment above is just exaggerating the filipino pride thing.
Don’t get me wrong! I will always love Steve Perry, but this guy is very good. I see why the band picked him! He is really cool. Great voice. Much like a younger Steve in a lot of ways. Man, he sure does have a lot of energy. Journey is still a killer band! Peace.
@@einarabelc5- Actually, it’s a toss up for me! This guy is good, but my heart is still with Steve. Steve gave Journey that signature sound! They wouldn’t have made it big, at that time, without Steve’s killer vocals! I miss Steve Perry! What a amazing person he is! Peace.
Perry would have not lasted the whole 25 songs, Maybe 12 max 30 years ago. Who, in his right mind would just decide to disappear at the height of his career and literally leave his band in limbo for a decade? When he reappeared in 1998, he backed out and never to return again just before their scheduled concert tour, voice issues? Maybe, just like Augeri, he damaged his vocal chords. All we know is, he just did sporadic small gigs, recordings, & guestings as a solo artist.
@@jgreen3871 - Well, I get your point! However, people are allowed to do what they feel is right for their life. Sometimes, it doesn’t make sense to other people, but they still have the right. Personally, I feel, that Steve should have NEVER left JOURNEY. He gave them that signature sound, with his amazing vocals. Still, this is just my opinion. Through it all, Steve will always go down as being one of the very best male vocalist of a band. Whatever he is doing these days, I wish him the greatest success! Period! Peace.
THAT LAST NOTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! A whole octave higher in full voice after singing that entire song and running around the stage!!!!
I happen to think that Arnel is a fantastic singer, and took an amazing opportunity with Journey. I grew up with Steve singing, and love his voice differently. Steve had some kind of magical power and gift that isn’t always explainable. Arnel was picked out for his incredible and awesome vocal ability, but was different than Steve’s very special voice. Love them both, but always pick Steve’s singing, back in the day. I’ve seen them both in concert, and both rocked me. Steve in the early days seemed to take me to another plane of existence.
I saw Journey live at the Meadowlands in 1982 (Greg Khin opened) and I will say that Arnel does the group justice. One of the best replacement singers ever.
@Steve Perry Hello Steve, you are not in the band anymore? Now it;s Arnel. But you were great too, in your day. I really like this song. you guys did a great job writing it.

The thing that strikes me most is that people get the impression that he's trying to be Steve. He isn't. He was auditioned by the band members of Journey and he got the job. Now, instead of clinging to past emotional connection to Perry, why don't you use your ears to listen. Hear how powerful Arnel's voice is. He is no Perry. He is the new lead singer for Journey. He is amazing. Aren't you guys happy that the band is still rolling? Still putting up dazzling performances like this? Come on.
without Steve Perry they're just a cover band. schonn is the only one with real talent and from the few songs I have heard he's either trying to play a little different or he's starting to slip a little. he's getting some years on himself too.
This is a really hard song to sing and he did fine. No, he isn't Perry and no one will ever be, but they had to find someone remotely close or it just wouldn't be Journey.
I'm an American and I gotta side with Arnel on the recent Steve coming back rumors. Arnel has carried the torch and done an excellent job for over a decade. He should keep the job
@@sparklesthecat6507 Exactly. I know this comment was made 2 months ago, but Steve has zero intentions of returning to Journey so I'm not sure why this is even a debate. Arnel has done a fantastic job carrying the torch and Steve's legacy remains strong. Both men should be proud.
You're buggin man and this has nothing to do with being an American it has to do with the music! Pineda got to go, I've seen them live and he's way too wide eyed animated. His spirit isn't there, he's performing too much, no feel. I really feel like I'm seeing a good tribute band. Perry is like top 2 of all time greatest singer. Pineda got too much vibrato too, Bring Perry back!!!
I just saw Journey in concert April 2022 was amazing. Thank you Arnel for sharing your gift and bringing Journey all together again. your an amazing singer

To be FAIR........Just MY ears.....I Saw Journey in 1983 on the Frontiers Tour and in 1986 Tour Raised on Radio......Steve Perry could NOT hit those high Notes LIVE.....I love them both, but Arnel carried the torch for one of the worlds Most loved bands.....Props to BOTH!
There is a difference when ythese guys are acting live to be recorded into a DVD, or if they re acting for a show, in a tour where they will need to deliver every single night, during a long period. Of course, in the second scenario, they do not reach nor deliver everything they have. They need to save their vocals for a long journey of shows. On the first case scenario, when live act but for professional recording, they rest more before the show(s) , and they have more time to rest after the show until the next live "tour". This means they can deliver almost all, even if they need more time to rest to recover volcals. You can see that on the live recording of Journey in Houston 81, for example. And in this example, as well, on this video. But you can check other shows, recorded by people on amateur cams, ,with both singers, in which they couldn't deliver all that much. Its normal!
I disagree with you , Steve Perry definitely hit the notes, this guy is awesome, no denying this, but either way please don't downplay Steve's vocals💓😍
I hope this will shut all the haters up and those who keep comparing AP to SP and to the die hard SP fans who refuse to accept the fact that he's no longer the frontman. You all need to watch and listen to Steve's speech as they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His speech was awesome and he graciously acknowledged Arnel, told him he loved him and thanked him for keeping Journey's legacy alive. These two amazing men have such mutual respect and admiration for each other. Steve obviously approves of Arnel being Journey's lead singer. Hell he's already been doing it for 15 years and counting. So please... Enough with the hate and comparisons already. Do you think Steve would approve of the hate and bashing? Of course not! It's getting old and boring. We should all be happy and blessed that we can still continue to enjoy the amazing legacy and new sounds of Journey with Arnel at the helm. The band loves and believes in him so we all should too. Arnel is so talented in his own right and continues to bring that soulful, emotional and legacy Journey sound that Neal and Jon were looking for for the longest time. Let's just enjoy listening and watching these guys and their iconic music while they're still alive. They will forever be legends. Don't ever stop believing...Long live Journey!
He may be the new front man and he’s good. I’ll give him credit but they have no new music. Just a cover band now. Steve Perry is Journey. Can’t change that. If they want to change it they should produce some new music instead of getting a guy who sounds like Perry. Can’t ignore that. He might be good he they are forcing him to seem like he’s trying to be Perry. It’s not the Perry fans who refuse to change. It’s the band who hasn’t changed anything.
My God... The multiple "eargasms' this performance gives me is beyond comprehension. I've already listened to this live masterpiece an unhealthy amount of times. These guys are true professionals in their fields and they came to SLAY big time! Arnel's talent is unbelievable and the emotion and passion he brings to each song is undeniably amazing. Close your eyes and you will be mesmerized. He has great stage presence and commands it and gets the crowd going and feeling every vibe. This is my favorite Journey line up ever. Neal is the man! He is so underrated. Jon on keyboards is pure magic and those intros he does is crazy. Ross is always super cool. And damn Deen... He came to SLAY! Love Steve Smith, but Deen brings power and sexiness to the band and the way he hits that drum kit blows me away, while doing a great job singing vocals too. And please... Stop the hate and comparisons. Steve will always be Steve and will always be a part of Journey. And Arnel is Arnel and he brought new life and an exciting resurgence to this iconic band. Please let's all just appreciate the fact that these guys love what they do and want to keep playing until they can't no more. Like they all say... The show must go on and Arnel helped do just that. He's phenomenal and also brings international appeal. His fellow Filipinos completely love and support him. I'm also a proud Filipina and have been a huge Journey fan since the early 80's. I'm 55 and I'm so thankful that I still get to enjoy all the magic that is Journey. Steve and Arnel both respect one another and we should take their lead. Arnel loves Steve and the band and what a blessing that he is now continuing Steve's legacy. I'm sure Steve is extremely proud. And I love happy endings. Such a heartwarming story about Arnel. A true Cinderella story for the ages and love it when good things happen to good people. And come on man, if Neal and Jon believe in him then who are we to judge and complain? They knew what they were doing choosing AP. Journey saved Arnel, but in all honesty, it was Arnel who saved Journey as they are enjoying a worldwide resurgence and love seeing this diehard band enjoying what they love and that's playing amazing music! Enjoy them while they're still alive. I know I am and will continue to love and support them until the end. Rock on Journey! Don't ever stop believing... 🔥❤️😎🤟
Amel Pineda was barely getting by singing in sketchy dive bars etc and then the band contacted him and offered him an audition after Steve left...this is literally a dream come true for Amel and I think it's awesome how he has brought the band back
Arnel hit the note for “in vain, in vai-ai-ai-ain” here than Steve did in the original recorded version. In the original, his voice was raspy and strained. Here, it’s sharp and sounds almost effortless.
Stop with the comparisons...in the 70s I doubt there was any voice coaching... artist from then had raw talent...Arnel is good but his idol was no doubt Steve, hence he can hit those those and yes today's artist the technology to train their own voices...either way kudos to Arnel.... it's as if I'm listening to Steve Perry but the younger version👌🎶😍💓

@@audreycraig9433 yep cause they were close to roasting his vocals due to concerts, gigs, you name it. Like what ross valory said in their docu/film, they never had so much successive tours before(Perry's time). So yeah aside from arnel's age, I'd say they mis managed his voice
E Jean Arnel has a backup lead singer helping him out with the vocals - Deen Castronovo did it until he was let go. He hasn’t toured anywhere nearly as much as Steve Perry who’s still done the most shows out of all the lead singers to this day. Ross Valory is a total ditz.
General Hammond for me this is the best line for the Journey band. I miss deen with journey and arnel they harmonize each other so well. And the way Deen drums.

WOW! A TOTAL PERFORMER. You can't see or hear him catch his breath while singing despite his doing strenuous dancing, running and jumping. Too much energy and physically fit. Never loses air which their manager was afraid of when they first saw Arnel perform in Chile.
I am one of the biggest Steve Perry fans, but this version is the BEST Separate Ways version I've ever heard. If you think Arnel can't come close to Perry, your only listening with "biased" ears. Arnel can bring it and he shows it on this song. And even though Steve Smith is one of my favorite drummers all time, Deen drums circles around him.
Ehh, I wouldn't go that far. He's good, really good, but he can't hit the same notes as Perry for this song. But he performs them all REALLY well. But there's a reason why Perry's prime voice is considered legendary.
Steven Stambaugh you’re not the biggest Steve Perry fan, you’re the Arnel Journey fan. It’s nothing to do with bias about Steve Perry being the best rock singer on this planet because he is. Arnel is a very good cover singer but no Steve Perry. SP didn’t even use autotune or backing tracks like the Journey singers who replaced him.
@@fireice2999 You just went into full blown, over the top biased mode. Yeah Perry was an absolutely great singer. I say was as he hasn't done much of any singing in 20 plus years. But the best on the planet? You say that like there's no question to it. Bruce Dickinson.......Freddie Mercury......bunch of guys come to mind through the years that are just as legendary for their vocals as Perry.....if not more so. As for Arnel.....he does fantastic. And he wouldn't have to do it, were Perry to get off his ass and actually tour. But he won't.....
danimal097521 Deen Castronovo sings in the original key and is much better than Arnel vocally. Steve Perry is back with an album in 2018 and he’s still sounding amazing. I’m a new fan. There is a RUclips competition between Steve Perry and Freddie Mercury and SP blows him away. FM was the greatest showman but Steve Perry is the best live singer that existed - didn’t even use backing tracks according to Randy Jackson who toured with Journey. RJ says himself that Steve Perry and Robert Plant are the best rock singers in history. There are many rock singers who sound amazing on the album but couldn’t reproduce that quality singing live. Stating the facts is not bias. Arnel is a good cover singer using autotune and in the same league as Kelly Hansen of Foreigner. The previous Journey lead singer Augeri was caught lipsyncing, so Journey uses tech gimmicks to sell tickets, no different than any other touring senior rock bands. Arnel totally sucked during the RRHOF performance. ruclips.net/video/nCy1puMM6q0/видео.html
I almost believe his the original on this song! What an amazing performance by Arnel. If you don't think about Perry, you'll mistaking that Arnel is the original on this song. What a great voice.

Milan Rapaic I never really listened to much Maiden. But with Journey it was basically the end (ish) of their career, at least where they wouldn’t be making many more albums, so it makes more sense to have a singer that can emulate it live, especially with a legendary singer such as Steve Perry. With like Black Sabbath, and even bands like Killswitch Engage, it was in the middle of their career, so they could afford a voice-style change
Milan Rapaic He said he was burnt out and didn’t want to make any more music himself. After that long, a band like this knows whoever they move on too fans won’t appreciate as much, so they may as well find a singer that is similar (which is really hard for Perry btw). It’s like if now Rob Hanford decided to retire and they had to find a replacement. Could you imagine them picking a singer with a completely different tone and range?

I think this is *the best* recording of the song out there It’s not gonna get any better than this. This is perfect. They took an epic song with the original, made it even better with the Revelation version, then took that and put it on steroids to make this. The instruments sound perfect, Arnel sounds authentic and legitimate (Not saying Perry didn’t or the album releases didn’t either), the hype from the crowd, everyone’s enthusiasm, all of that comes together to make this the best version of the song, my favorite version of it, and overall my favorite song of all time.

It's crazy how good that Arnel's vocals are in concert --- NO AUTO TUNE --- the man is almost as legendary as the Mighty Perry!

Yes we are indeed...and thank you for your good words madam...❤️

Don’t get me wrong! I will always love Steve Perry, but this guy is very good. I see why the band picked him! He is really cool. Great voice. Much like a younger Steve in a lot of ways. Man, he sure does have a lot of energy. Journey is still a killer band!

Period! Peace.

Come on.
It's a shame so many can't figure this out...
without Steve Perry they're just a cover band. schonn is the only one with real talent and from the few songs I have heard he's either trying to play a little different or he's starting to slip a little. he's getting some years on himself too.

I'm an American and I gotta side with Arnel on the recent Steve coming back rumors. Arnel has carried the torch and done an excellent job for over a decade. He should keep the job
They might try to harmonize, might be epic...
The chances of that happening are little to none. More likely for Mike Portnoy to rejoin Dream Theater than Steve to come back.
Peter Criss and Ace Frehley will return to KISS for the third time before that happens.Besides Arnel rocks.
Its normal!
Yes.. great singers .
I disagree with you , Steve Perry definitely hit the notes, this guy is awesome, no denying this, but either way please don't downplay Steve's vocals💓😍
Don't overlook the reason why he was chosen to be the lead singer.... because he sounds like Steve Perry 👌
This is live! Watch whole concerts of Journey, no in betweens! What a stamina the band has especially frontman Arnel!
I have to say , apart from being a great singer ,Arnell is also a great frontman, he really gets the crowd into it
Arnel hit the note for “in vain, in vai-ai-ai-ain” here than Steve did in the original recorded version. In the original, his voice was raspy and strained. Here, it’s sharp and sounds almost effortless.
Steve just can't handle heavy singing. His' forte is in the ballads.
Steve struggles with the distorted sound. He has a cleaner sound.

Steven Stambaugh yes sir this is the best version of separate ways..AP killed this song...what a powerfull voice!!!

@@kerber5258 not even close, Steve had the most amazing voice, Arnel does a good job tho
There’s something about when Steve Perry sings this song that takes ahold of my soul and grips it, there’s spirit behind that voice No one sings it like him,,,,.but this guy does a pretty good job
Exact l y thanku
Wow...haven't heard someone sing this song this good since the 80's when Joey Belladonna sang in the bar band Mega Force before siging on with Anthrax.
dude please.. Arnel was cruising here. his performance in Vegas 08 was probably the best this song has ever been. he reached beyond the flood gates .. live at that.. no ill will toward Steve.. but put some respect on his name
Been a huge Journey fan since I was a kid. My brother through adoption is Filipino so I feel a unique connection to the Philippines. Arnel is outstanding. Incredible stage presence. Amazing vocals. Love it.
Arnel is a big Singer,he not need to copy somebody. To find a singer like him ,forJourney ,is like a Lottery Win!!!
Milan Rapaic He’s a live fill in for a band. Why would they get someone that sounds completely different? That wouldn’t make any sense.
@@milanrapayic Journey had already tried with two other singers and it didn't work. The band wanted the legacy tenor sound back.
Uhhhh, but he DOES copy someone. THE GREATEST MALE ROCK VOCALIST LIVING, the one, the only, the AMAZING, the GOAT, "The Voice", STEVE PERRY!! Arnel Pineda himself has said that Steve is his idol and he mimics him, as in COPIES him vocally. Pineda even admits he is not in Perry's league. He IDOLIZES Steve Perry. THAT is who he copies, my friend. ;)
Dude Arnel’s energy blows me away dude how can he even stay that energetic for long?!?
It's incredible to have so much energy singing and being all over the stage at the same time!
Bruce Bartman he uses guide vocals so that he can run around. Used by live performers who run around like him.
He’s using that filipino energy 🤷🏼♀️🤣
@@charlizewinslow5284 guide vocals ?
@@asiadread4902 scream pinoyyyy sigaw ni arnel
Just shows you how smart the band was hiring Arnel. Wow! Amazing live performance
Yes!!! The lead vocals are off the chain!!! Awesome!!!
he is Arnel Pineda the new vocalist of journey and he's here to make the music of journey brings to life cause Steve can't perform anymore and not to pretend to be Steve. I am happy to hear this in new generation.
hardly the new vocalist, he's been in the band for 10 years now.
Thank you!
NEW ?!?!?!.......don't know in which part of the globe you live in but he's been in Journey for the last 500 years.
Steve can perform. Have you heard his new song? Yep, he's back! Check out the video for No Erasin'. He chose not to perform anymore because he was burnt out.
From 2007 to 2018 concert/world tour....
Listening to journey during quarantine, This Arnel's best performance for me
Look for their japan 2017 concert its nice too
Yes, because you can tell his ❤️ is in it.
He simply kills it...
I CANT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS LIVE???!! REALLY!!?? WOOWWW!!❤😍
Tinkerbelle he’s using guide vocals, so that he can run around.
NO ONE has come even close to the awesomeness of Steve Perry singing this song. Pineda is great, don't get me wrong, but Perry is God-like in every performance he ever performed. Here's the same song by the original singer, Steve Perry of Journey. FAR BETTER! ;)
ruclips.net/video/f-7I1dRo7WQ/видео.html
Also, if you want truly iconic? Check this out. Steve Perry was back then and still remains today the greatest male rock vocalist of all time.

TGilbs Pow I totally agree with you. Steve Perry is the GOAT.
@@P.Snicks No question ! his voice doesn't have the magic that Perry's did . Still a very good singer , but not on Perry's level ,
@@noxccty6200 LOL I don't hate him at all. This is the problem with this country right now. EVERYONE, and I do mean EVVVVERYONNNNNE, wants to make everything racially motivated, even when it's not. I happen to LIIIIIKE Pineda, genius. Just because I say he's not as good as Perry doesn't mean that I don't like him. Steve Perry MADE Journey into the colossal success that they were. Pineda saved Journey so that people could enjoy them, once again, for years to come.
So happy Journey is still going strong, Blessing to have Ariel as lead singer 🎶🎶🎼🎤🎶🎶💕❤️
As someone who has seen both Steve and Arnel live.....it’s Arnel. Hands down. Better live voice and a thousand times more energy.
Yeah right. It’s called music technology. He’s using backing tracks when he’s running around with that fake energy. Has in-ear monitors and sang 1 hour with Deen helping out lead vocals on many songs 2-3 nights a week, while on the other hand floor monitors for Steve Perry and singing 2.5 hours by himself 4-6 nights a week for 10 months straight. Much better modern concert official band video vs. Steve Perry concert live footage from bootleg videos in the ‘80s.
Steve Perry always sounded much better live and is called the Voice for a very good reason. You’re just a boomer that’s ticked off at him for quitting the band.
Dude!! Lucky!! 👍
Gary Burke Arnel uses guide vocals so that he can run around. Steve Perry never used any backing tracks doofus.
Gary Burke such a pinhead. The only live version of Steve Perry singing this is a bad quality RUclips bootleg of him singing this sick with the flu and even then he didn’t use backing tracks and sounded phenomenal. This Arnel performance is remastered in a recording studio for DVD release. LMAO soooo douchey.
@@ccchanel8171 what are u pointing then? HAHAHAHA, c'mon dude, i know u're better than that, u know what i mean😉🤣
Don't Stop Believing... Best song that describes Arnels life, he didn't stop believing. Incredible talent, i think those people who's trying to compare him to Steve should stop the issue and appreciate Arnel for what he contributed to these band. Journeys band member surely appreciates Arnel. Stop the hate and enjoy their music🔥🥃🥂🍺🍻
AP here is 42 years old (2009). The voice is incredible, crisp and power.
Today 2016, listen to this voice and I think it's little by little diminishing but still
very good to hear. I think AP should not abuse his voice by taking to many engagements
beyond what he could have by taking time to rest to replenish the voice.
David Bronze I heard his voice is getting worse because Neil Schon doesn't let the band take breaks so they're constantly touring, not giving AP any rest
@Frank. T I think so
That is the real one it us fake
He is back with great vocLs
I Saw journey live in salt lake 2016 and Arnel pineda kicked Ass
ARNEL IS THERE TO CONTINUE THE 'JOURNEY', AND HE'S DOING A FANTASTIC JOB AT IT. JOURNEY, A FANTASTIC BAND THEN AND NOW WITH ARNEL
Arnel surely NAILED IT!!! He wouldn't be hired by Journey if he did not possess the LEGACY VOCALS!!!
legendary is for demonics i see now!!! )
My favorite song of all time
same
Luke Cable I play this song every week
Me too.
This song is theme of WBC(world baseball classic) Japan national team.
I hope so Japan will be the champion of WBC!

4:44 AP is Spectacular. As a Filipino, I am so proud of you❤. You are really born to rock the world🎉❤
How he does it with a asthma all jumping and running around on stage singing very high node songs after songs WITHOUT flaw so smoothly? Onley AP can do it he brings so much energy on stage i never get tired watching his perfect performances
Maybe that's the best medicine for him. Performing live.
Excellent singer!!!! Love the energy!!!
That’s absolutely incredible. Not often you can say a live performance is better than the single release. 👏🏻🙌🏻
It's good but ....
True hundred percent
This is absolutely amazing!! AP sounds so good! Keep in mind, that Steve Perry gave him his blessing, and told him that he loves him! Arnel was over the moon, so full of gratitude after he heard that! It's all good!♥️
DAMN he sounds awesome!!! It's a pitty that Steve Perry doesn't sings anymore but THANK GOD Arnel Pineda can sing and reminds me about Perry's voice. AWESOME PERFORMANCE ARNEL!!! Hope to see you soon @ Spain!!!
Steve's back!
I absolutely love your spirit and everything about you!!!! God bless you Arnel!!!!!!!
Love talent good voice ,I love music ,Im a DJ,Power voice keep the music live 4 ever✌
I will never get tired of listening to this song. That guy Arnel Pineda is just amazing. So good the band found him.
That's crazy how he reached that note towards the end! & live!
Love, love , love this live version with Arnel. Arnel and Deen, WOW! Perfect.
I think this is *the best* recording of the song out there
It’s not gonna get any better than this.
On point! 👍🤟🔥
Can’t beat the original
@@apollomiller6207 Many covers had beaten their original counterparts honey. And this is one.
@@infantkiller64this ain’t even a cover it’s just the band playing their song
Brilliant that voice!! Superb that group!!

hi..................
Arnel ist a great singer.Amazing voice ! I hear the music from this great band everyday.Separate Ways is the best song from this band. This Song bring me back in the wonderful years of the 80's.I wish Journey all the best for the future !
I have no idea why die-hard "fans" bully Arnel. This is spot-on!
MioRaem yeah I know, themembers auditioned and brought him in BECAUSE he sounded like Steve. So if anyone wants to replace him it's the band not Arnel.
It's ridiculous isn't it? but that's people for ya. We all know he's not Steve Perry...who is?!, but the guy does a mighty fine job keeping these songs sounding good. Some people just enjoy bitching about everything.
MioRaem: They bully him because he is Asian and lots of people hate Asian people because they do things that are weird to us.
MioRaem: Those people who bully him are racist but I respect him very much 😄 probably more than anyone in the whole world.
Then they aren't real fans... plain and simple.
