Thank you for watching this video! Would mean a lot if you subscribed to this channel, and liked the video. If you are interested in endurance racing, trust me this is the channel to come to. Thanks for your support, have a great day and enjoy the racing! Спорт
I can't wait. My goodness that V12 will scream like anything ever heard in LeMans. My sympathies to the French campers trying to get some shut eye at night. 🤭
Ehhh. Sleep is kinda optional at Le Mans.
Then you didn't heard about Matra and the overrated Mazda...
@@milesr4609 No I know about the Mazda. I don't live in a cave thank you very much. However in the current era of prototypes, this is gonna sound like no other.
@@sujjo but you stated "anything ever"...
@@milesr4609I like how you said over rated. The jags had 100kg of extra ballast
The image of a 30 car hypercar grid puts such a dumb big smile on my face. I can't wait!
As a Ferrari supporter I have to admit that this Aston is probably the best locking hypercar of the group.... I love how many manufacter will be in the competition.
I bet it'll look a lot different to fit the drag/downforce ratio of the rule set.
As another Ferrari fan, Peugeot blows them out of the water in the looks department.
@AdventurousNomad007 that's funny because I am far from a fan of ferrari but think it's the best looking LMH/LMDH so far.
@@AdventurousNomad007 I agree the first time I saw the car I thought it was one of the best looking race cars ever in that nardo grey color. The psychedelic livery makes it a bit softer now in the looks department.
From what I gathered so far, it's all A BIG LIE for commercial.
They're probably building a new LMH Aston Martin prototype that will just look like the other boring LMH and LMDh prototypes
Really hope WEC returns to Silverstone, I'd love to see all these new LMH's and LMDH's racing in person
Certainly agree with that, I have emailed both the FIA and Silverstone, and neither replied. I guess I am just one bloke, but I dont know why there isnt a British Round anymore.
Would love to see a race at Silverstone as well! I miss the WEC there
I've said it by before, my friend, give it time. With all the announcements by manufacturers entering or looking to enter, the grid will expand by '26, not to mention the number of venues. The possibility of 10 races, including Le Mans, is right there.
Can’t wait. A lot of manufacturers don’t want to miss out on the racing
I think that this announcement shows that Lawrence Stroll is in racing for the long haul. not just until Lance steps away. he truly wants to build a new legacy for AM. Also I think that its cool that Heart Of Racing is an American team running the car and its a small nod to the last time AM won overall with Carol Shelby driving. Another thing as well, I think that when MSR return to IMSA in 2025 we could see them using an Alpine Chasis which would add a 7th manufacture by 2025.
He's moving Lance to WEC, so that AM can go for more balanced lineup in F1
In all fairness, we should note that Lawrence does have a lot of love for motor racing and Aston Martin. If he were only in it to give Lance a seat, he wouldn't have been the driving force behind making the DB12 the car it is now. In fact, he probably would have just let the rest of Aston Martin do whatever it wanted while Lance stayed in his seat and then dipped as soon as Lance decided he wanted out, but that's not what we see happening. Lawrence is committed to finally making Aston Martin truly great, and he has the money to do it. He's using it wisely
We know Fernando was a huge fan of the WEC from his Toyota stint. Does he jump in with Aston for a full time drive or maybe just the Le Mans 24?
Full agree with this!!
I think it's a mistake to go non-hybrid. This season has already shown that the non-hybrids aren't competitive.
Not necessarily, remember all the current non-hybrids are all privateers which are both underfunded and aren't as developed as the other fully backed teams.
this isn’t a fair statement because vanderwall is a mess and glickenhaus have no money. i think aston will do just fine without a hybrid
Exactly! The Toyota’s have literally lapped the field and even the Ferrari’s have been lapped at a handful of races this season. That Aston has no chance catching the Toyota or Ferrari on the Muslanne straight without that extra juice.
@@CincySupercar and the V12 (while sounding cool) feels like a heavy and thirsty option to race ..
This channel has become my #1 source for WEC and LM news. Keep it up!
That means a lot to hear! I am glad you are enjoying the content. Comments like these help me to produce even more videos, thank you!
This could be a game-changer for Hypercar… or it might be a total bust!! They’re basically building a Glickenhaus with more sophisticated aero & a bigger engine. Racing with no hybrid technology is a big challenge these days…
I wonder how that big ole v12 will do fuel milage rise 🤔 actually I don't care I just want to hear it!
I expect full bust.
Mmm. I think the hybrids will eat the Aston. Even the Isota will have an advantage...
The WEC grid is getting real tight, not that I'm complaining.
The next years would be great for IMSA/WEC Fans with so many Manufacturers
Indeed!
love to hear the v12 symphony
I am curious how they will use their engine. I believe is "normally" has over 1100hp. This will be to much. An tuning it back to about 600 700 will make the rpm go down alot. So the sound will reduce too. And that is one of the most pure sounds you can get now.
And a that point why not use a small more fuel efficient engine. If the power advantages of having a v12 don’t exist.
@@rexthewolf3149because it structure component of the car. Replaced it means rebuild more or less entire rear section of the car. Also, with chassis manufacturer of the car, Multimatic, will be busy with development of Porsche 963, plus customer orders
I keep getting more into LMh from this stuff. Might have to find a race to get to.
Also if AM is as quick as Jonah got to posting this video, I'm sure they'll do fine.
Thank you Vacant! The Le Mans Hypercar stuff is definitely fascinating!!
Thans for doing this video so fast, great job!
No problem! Glad you enjoyed the video
Question is , can Lance Stroll handle a V12?😂
I think Alonso will drive it too
@@joribremer5260 that would be fantastic.
I've seen the video they've done, super excited to see them back in the top class of the wec aswell as imsa.
I can't wait to see my favorite car brand will dominate the race for sure go go go AMR
13 manufacturers! That’s amazing. What a great time to be a fan!
This is brilliant I’m officially invested in this class.
No hybrid? Well, there goes all my hopes of them winning Le mans
Lol ik right
Three years ago, only 2 Toyotas competed in the championship. In 2025 maybe will be around 30 hypercars. This is one of the craziest things I've ever seen in this sport. Let's enjoy the moment while it lasts
Fully agree with this! Things just keep getting better and better with prototype endurance racing!
"30 hypercars" if the Glicks doesn't leave
I'm of course very excited to see the Valkyrie in the fields but is there any information on if this car will have 4 wheel- drive? Because not having a hybrid system onboard seems already like a disadvantage against the competition. But let's see, now they have much time to hopefully get as much out of the car, so that they can win against all of the other competitors
RWD only, it will be mostly the same car in terms of schematics. Chassis, suspension aero and all that, will be changed over to prototype racing spec.
Awesome to hear about AMR
the only thing missing is Mclaren join LMdH and Stallantis and nissan joins GT3LM cars and we shall have a joint wec championship!
Thank you for the information! I'm looking forward to the V12 engine sound roaring and feeling it at Fuji, Japan. I wish Honda Acura would join WEC as well. That's going to be more exciting.
No problem! And I agree! It’s definitely going to be cool to see that Aston Martin! Let’s hope Honda / Acura joins soon too!
7:25 potentially Vanwall, maybe Glickenhaus.
This man knew it all
I love this car!
Nice car bro
The next brands could be Alfa Romeo (LMDh) and McLaren (Solus GT LMH or LMDh). I would have liked to see Jaguar (LMDh) and Bentley (LMDh) too.
With no hybrid probably what they do is experiental project to see if the non hybrid competitive or not then added hybrid system next season
Sorry this is a long comment but TL;DR F1 drivers not being used and non-hybrid doesnt mean bad.
Alonso and Stroll will have no involvement in the Hypercar, it will be the HoR drivers and the 6 AM GT drivers and then based off that HoR will make the decision on who will drive.
On BoP, yes the AM is non-hybrid but no it doesnt mean they will be bad. The hybrids dont increase power it is just a separate way of producing it it makes no real differenceoutside of some tyre wear for LMH hybrids and getting some instant torque but even then it is BoP on when hybrid can be used, and the current non-hybrid cars are 2 underfunded teams that set a bad example for non-hybrids, Glickenhaus hasnt tested due to funding and Vanwall has major engine cooling issues decreasing their speed. If Isotta are very slow with BoP then it is an issue as they have done more testing and based on the testing times can be competitive.
can't wait for 2025
If the entries come at this rate, qualifying will matter more than ever, as I don't think that much more than 30 prototypes could run on any track bar Le Mans and Spa safely.
Very true!
FINALLY!!
VALKYRIE,
Bolide,
Solus GT,
Huayra R,
Jesko,
AMG ONE,
GT2RS ClubSport,
And so many more belong in this series!
Yeeeees !!!!! This its a fantastic news !!!!!!
It really is!!
Heck YEAH V12 ROAR!!!
so happy Aston Martin join the wec and imsa Lmh in 2025 no hybrid steam In imsa 2025 sixth manufacturer enters imsa GTP and Wec Aston Martin 11 manufacturers glikehouse also accompanied by Vanwall 680 (Hypercar class)
Hypercar and GTP is definitely getting even better! We are truly in another golden age!
Qatar Grand Prix paddock interview with Max Verstappen : He said he will definitely race in LeMans. Will prepare well and will looking for an overall win. Maybe with an RB17 he said. And he thinks Fernando Alonso will drive the Valkyrie. 😊
No they won't. They have said rhe AM F1 team drivers will have no involvement with the Hypercar program as they have "day-jobs" (actual quote). The team will be from HoR and Aston GT drivers.
@@maxb4085 I agree. And I know what Aston Martin said. Read my comment properly though. I was just saying what Max Verstappen said in his interview. Go watch the interview and you'll see that. So yeah Max is wrong.
Have you forgotten is isotta fraschini they also have a LMH car
Nope! Love Isotta Fraschini and their Tipo 6 LMH-C!
its gonna be hard for the aston martin take 1 at le mans with no hybrid engine
IMO, their efforts is 5 years too late. By the time Valkyrie will enter the scene, others LMH (and LMDh) will be better developed, and more competitive. Aston Martin had their chances in 2021, but they threw it away for F1. And also screwed Glickenhaus badly (and Toyota to some extent).
Great news, However it doesnt have Hybrid of any kind. I dont think the rule makers could allow any car that doesnt fit the climate of some sort of electrication from winning.
Yall I hope they're good without a hybrid
Exelente noticia
Ahora falta mercedes benz y Ford
will they have customer cars?
Great question, I wouldn’t say in 2025, but maybe 2026 or 2027 we will see some customers
Actually, both Glick and Vanwall might be gone from the WEC by the time Aston enters in 2025. Glickenhaus is struggling financially, so they might not even be allowed to enter next season. No one knows how Vanwall is doing though, but it can't go too well for them given their lacking performance. Also consider Isotta Fraschini with Vector Sport and a potential F1 Allstar Jota 963.
Does mean the FIA will finally have to bop a non-hybrid to be competitive? 🤔
7:43 group c vibes
É obrigatório carros híbridos na categoria GTP da IMSA, não?!
Só é obrigatório ser híbrido se o carro for um LMDh. Se o carro for um LMH aí o sistema híbrido é opcional.
@FelipeGabe explained it good, LMH cars can race in IMSA without a hybrid, LMDh cannot. So according to the rules, Aston Martin is allowed with no hybrid. Great question, and thanks for watching!
Wasnt the Valkyrie designed for Le Mans in the first place
This one will not go silent into the night…. Quite literally.
Indeed!
Without hybrid system they have no chances
POINT ME TO THE NEAREST WALL SO I CAN RUN THRU IT
will it still look like the valkyrie
Yes it should!
Great new but without a hybrid engine there's no chance of Aston Martin dethroning Toyota
What about Bugatti...There Is a possibility to see the Bolide on track? About AM extremely excited to see her
No Bugatti isn't interested
They, and Pagani are not interested
I wish it happens, but I don’t think it’s likely. Bugatti now is in partnership with Rimac, and I don’t think they were interested in going into Motorsport again. Although I could be wrong! You never know!
All of the big hypercar manufacturers are probably unlikely to enter an LMH car. I would love to see the Jesko and the Bolide in the hypercar category, but it will likely never happen
Hope bugatti will come with Bolide oneday
That would be so cool!
Somehow I have a feeling it's not gonna happen. :?
1 more year in F1 for Alonso and then back to Endurance Sports car racing in a valkarie?
Would love to see Alonso in that car!
No hybrid so it won’t be competitive?! Wtf.
The only benchmark for non-hybrids is the Glickenhaus, and that car has many design flaws that have nothing to do with the powertrain. If Aston Martin get everything right, especially with regards to aero and tire wear, the Valkyrie could very well be close to LMDh in terms of pace. That's enough to fit in the BoP window. Let's wait and see.
its even weirder that the road or the pro version of it has a hybrid system but not the race version
Thanks FJ. Well, I guess it’s another trip to Le Mans in 2025😅. Will be interesting that they are running a non-Hybrid. Let’s hope as a factory backed effort they perform better than the current non-hybrid teams. Now all we need is Audi……..
And Alfa Romeo or McLaren
Agreed!! We will definitely see what happens with no hybrid, but hoping for the best. And I want Audi to come back too, their history in endurance racing is legendary. A shame they aren’t racing yet. Thanks for watching!
You are so right about that, can’t wait to see AM with This car, but we need Audi to show everyone how to race at le mans😉
Well, i guess i was wrong...😅
So now literally everyone is going to LeMans BUT HRC🤔 They have to show up at some point now. I don't want to hear anything about them "seeing if it makes sense" lol. Your future F1 team is even going!
Until they think they can matches Toyota, they are not. Now, only IMSA for them
@@kidpagronprimsank05 they definitely have the resources to if they really get serious.
this car was too good to leave on the sidelines..
La serie mas importante del automovolismo mundial es esta y no la formula 1
This is so Lance Stroll can move from F1 to endurance racing....
Cadillac V-Series R just lost the "best sounding car on the grid" title unexpectedly.
this will easily be top 3 best sounding but that’s if they even keep that v12. detuning that thing to meet rules could worsen the sound or even cause aston to grab another engine entirely
low rumbling v8 and a high pitch v12, i see this as a win
Too bad sounding good doesn’t win you championships.
I 100% trust Heart of Racing to develop a fantastic car, no matter what piece of trash Aston Martin hands them.
well we know where lance is going in 2025
Ain't no way they have a v12.
They do! Tbh I didn’t think they would, but they will!
This aston martin is a gt1
Alonso ? After F1 ?
Currently there is no plan on involving the F1 drivers. HoR has said they are going to be using drivers from their GT teams and AM GT drivers
Lance Stroll should lead the charge if he needs a break from F1.
Lance Slow needs to leave f1 and start his tennis career ⛳
I was so excited until I heard it wasn't hybrid and now it's going to probably be awful
With an already, 7 year old car. Lmao
Please keep Lace away from this car.
It's not competition balance of performance unfair
