- Nineteen-year-old Taylor Smith was in tears as she was sentenced to two days in jail for pushing her friend off a 60-foot bridge in Washington state. The ruling surprised both sides. Smith had pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment earlier this month and in exchange prosecutors had recommended no jail time. But Clark County District Court Judge Darvin Zimmerman disagreed. The moment Taylor shoved her friend 17-year-old Jordan Holgerson off the bridge was captured on camera. #InsideEdition

That’s the reason why I tell my daughter that there is no friends at all,never trust someone too much. I had a friend for 12 years and she suddenly stopped talking to me without an explanation. I was so proud to called her my best friend, little I know, probably she didn’t feel the same way.
A similar thing happened to me. My best friend who I grew up with since we were in elementary school stopped talking to me suddenly during the pandemic while we were attending college.
It was pretty strange but now I try to not think much of it. It happened and I can’t do much.
I had it happen to me too. I thought we were very close but as soon as her kids got old enough to not need a babysitter she disappeared. It was hurtful but also a good life lesson. People will take advantage of you if they can. Now I'm very careful who I call friend.

It wasn’t intended to hurt her friend. From hearing both sides they both were shocked and disappointed and one was humiliated by her own actions. She just can’t do anything about the event that transpired and now she won’t be able to make amends with her best friend who shared a bond of trust and more.

she didn't ruin her friends life.... she accidentally caused her to be injured. there was clearly no malice. its almost the same as pulling a chair out from under someone as a prank (which i still think is jerky btw) it can cause spinal injury and or paralysis, but no one does this with the intent to harm someone, its for laughs. her ribs and lungs healed most likely. the guilty party will unfortunately probably not get into a good college or get a good job because she now has jail time on her record, so HER life is actually being potentially ruined here.

It was a joke, the girl even said, I'm going to push you. I believe she probably said, I can jump from here or someone dared her to jump. When she was ready to jump she probably was going to chicken out and so here friend pushed her. Innocent when it happened but turned out to be a traumatic event. Don't judge people based their actions it was just a situation that turned out badly, these things happen.

The force of push itself in the video shows damage intention + she was not laughing. It was a well calculated jealousy/ anger based intention to cause a bit panic to the victim. Even she didn't realise the damage that it could make.

Keep in mind, that goes into her record and basically ruins any chances of good opportunities like high class jobs etc or even colleges. Even an hour in prision can look very bad for you.

should’ve been longer in my opinion, she almost killed her. she put her through a lot of pain. she is only crying because she is in court, not because of the pain she made her go through.
Well technically it's more that his life is ruined, I mean no friends because who would want to be with a friend that might cause your death. Having jail time leads to bad job resume. All the hate she'll get from social media.
