Just found your channel! So excited that I did. I've been off and on with AIP over the last year. I recently did AIP and then stopped when school/work/life got busy, and I whoa I felt the effects. It was working! I'm about to graduate from grad school and I feel more motivated than ever to commit to AIP knowing that I was getting somewhere with my healing. I'm looking forward to going back and watching all of your videos to help with my journey. Thanks so much for your work!
Oh Shanna!! Thank you for the tortilla recipe. It is the first one I have seen that is coconut free which I need to do for a season. AIP felt daunting before I found out about my sensitivity to coconut but now it is even more so. Coconut sensitivity is higher than anything else! As I am finding coconut free recipes I am feeling that just maybe, I can do this.
omg the satisfaction of watching you crunch that cereal 😁 hahaha so fun! Thank you for this video.. i am new to changing all of the things, not necessarily ready for making meals and just throwing together ingredients i can eat was so relatable for me. This was so so helpful,,,, truly truly means so much. 💜 Hope your world is going so well and healthfully, wish for an update or more posting..but alas life is busy. Thank you for adding also the Autoimmune Warrior to my verbal list💪🏽
You're great, Shanna! Can't tell u how thrilled I am to have found u. Thank u for all the *fantastic* tips, recipes, ideas, & encouragement u share. You are a blessing for sure. I have already enjoyed tastier AIP meals bcuz of u after only a few days/videos. I super appreciate you sharing Parker's cereals w us too. I can't wait to try it. So glad he has an unsweetened one as I'm mainly following the Wahls Protocol, so sugar is out. Thank u again for everything. Keep up the great work. To your health and wellness!! Xoxo
I love my Herbed Brussels Sprout Breakfast Hash. Using fresh herbs in everything I make completely changed my feelings about eating AIP! I cannot recommend it enough. I just shred some each of these using my hand food processor: Brussels sprouts, parsnip, sweet potato, carrot, beet ( I do the beets separate, so everything doesn't go pink), onion, garlic, and apple, a little salt and pepper and a dash of cinnamon. While I am doing that, I am frying some bacon, then I drain and chop it up. Leave about 1-2T of bacon fat in the bottom of the skillet and toss in all the veggies (except the shredded beet), adding more bacon fat only if needed. A couple minutes before the end I add in the shredded beets and bacon, and an ample handful of freshly minced herbs (thyme is wonderful, but so is rosemary, or oregano ...and my new favorite is fresh marjoram.) I give it a quick toss just to heat it through (I like that little bit of crunch from the beets) and then plate it up. There are never any leftovers. :-)
You're welcome Tammy! I'm so glad it's helpful! It's totally normal to feel a bit overwhelmed at first! I felt a LOT overwhelmed at first 😂. You totally got this! And I've got your back!
My two fav AIP cookbooks-essential IMO: He Won't Know Its Paleo by Bre'anna Emmit -so many excellent LIKE regular food replacenents. The Autoimmune Paleo Cookbook by Mickey Trescott all freeze/frig well for batch, lots of helpful info.💖
Yesssss Elisabeth!! I am with you.... I LOVE those! I love to batch prep a huge batch and put them in the freezer. I haven't made them in awhile, thanks for reminding me!
Can we eat marmalade of Amla Indian gooseberry, Quince, Carrot, Apple made in organic honey in aip diet which is good for health in traditional medicine of India and Pakistan? Also can we consume grain, wheat and rice in cheat days?
Can you please make a video on how you got your children to eat well and enjoy Whole Foods? (Not the store 😅). I have a three and five year old and when I offer them certain foods they won’t eat it.
Ooooo, that's a good topic Joy! And actually kind of a funny one in our case...I'll add that to my list of videos to make in the coming months! Thank you!
Re: Celery in soups. I like the flavor, but don't like the soggy bits of celery. So instead of chopping it fine, I throw in celery sticks. Before serving, I pick out the sticks. Celery has a lot of nutrients that other foods don't. So don't skip the celery. ❤🌅🌵😷
You really shouldn't eat that Lovebird cereal everyday. When I went paleo a few years ago I was eating sweet potato every day. AFter a month I got a kidney stone. Ugh. I'm on the AIP journey and low oxalate. It really stinks to have so many awesome healthy foods taken from you. Looking forward to healing more.
Thanks for sharing! I've never eaten the Lovebird cereal everyday, and do not recommend it. It's just great to have every so often. So sorry to hear about your experience with a kidney stone! It's so interesting how each of us are different. I know many people who eat sweet potatoes regularly (myself included) who do not have issues. But again, each of us are different. Thank you for sharing!
What are your favorite AIP meals?? I'd love to hear!
Not me eating egg roll in a bowl while I’m watching your video! 😂 my favourite so far.
Thabks for the positivity and sharing all these wonderful recipes. Happy to have more options to eat 😊

Thanks so much! I had no idea where to start.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am gearing up to go AIP on December 1st, and now I understand that it can actually be easy, and better yet, tasty.

Hello Shana, could you tell me if Bochasweet is AIP compliant? It is considered paleo as it is made from a Japanese fruit.
Hi Amy! I have not heard of Bochasweet - not sure if it is compliant.

I am in the ‘mix and match’ phase currently.

The video is way too long I suggest making short videos and adding (to the point) editing
Thank you so much for the feedback - I'm working on it ;)
