Shanna, as always, I really appreciate your thoughts. I have found that connecting with people in addition to my husband, even if I just ask for prayers helps me. I am in a flare right now and I am very encouraged by your thoughts. Sometimes I get down because I don't get to do what I want to do or think I need to do. I try to remember that my thoughts and the way I treat others when I am in pain is more important to God than my checklist.

Hi Megan, I so appreciate you sharing your experience and thoughts. I so related, and I LOVE what you said "I try to remember that my thoughts and the way I treat others when I am in pain is more important to God than my checklist." So beautiful! Sending you so much love and support as you navigate this flare. I know how hard it is, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. You got this! ❤️❤️❤️

I plan on making these tips into a feature page in my beloved daily Bullet Journal. They’re so good. When I start to flare I go into protection mode. I treat myself like I would a best friend.

One thing I do not understand is how a person can live with Hashimoto’s symptoms for so long and not know what is going on I mean I have very high thyroid peroxidase antibodies so I have Hashimoto’s and for the past four months my life has been well I don’t like to compare anything to hell, but it has been Unbelievably beyond difficult. The fatigue, the headaches every day from the moment I’m awake until I go to sleep brain fog, the lightheadedness every single day. I don’t see how anyone can go so long without knowing. My father is a gastroenterologist, and he really does not feel that my Hashimoto’s is causing all my symptoms, but I’m not so sure. It feels like I have been in a flare for 4 months now. Been running to every specialist to rule out other things. It’s been quite a battle to say the least. And right now I am stuck with this diagnosis of Hashimoto’s and all the symptoms. It has completely wrecked my life. My quality of life is zero, I cannot work. I cannot function, and it’s just does not seem like there is any help out there so thank you so much for your video sweetie and God bless you. ❤

I explain my "cranky" as losing patients. I'm less tolerate of the smallest thing. That's when lean on my faith to remind me that I am given all the strength that I need, I just need to draw upon it. 💖🌞🌵😷

Thank you for this video! Your timing is perfect. I've been struggling today. My daughter, with down syndrome and non verbal, and I have had our first flare in January. We found we have been living in mold when I decided we should pull the carpet to remove any allergens and go to solid flooring. We've been living with my parents while remediation is being done. Both of us seem to be having waves of depression the last few days. It's been a challenge to get nutrient dense for because of a string histamine response and other food intolerances that have surfaced. Praying for guidance and doing my best to keep our spirits up. Thank you for these 12 ideas. ❤

Thank you for this advise. I just think that...no matter how you feel..never give up. Just keep eating good things for your body. And it’s all in your attitude, and because of your faith....you have an awesome attitude! 😀 I love watching The Office too. Anything that is silly, funny. It goes help. 😊

How do I know I have a flare up ? I have hypothyroidism hashimoto and I don’t have symptoms. I have ton of energy ,sleep well ,my weight is normal etc. So I been trying the AIP for 2 months already and I want to reintroduce maybe quinoa or beans or at least nuts. But how do I know when something affects if I didn’t have any symptom from the beginning.

My mind feels better than three weeks ago when I ditched gluten, dairy, sugar and nightshade vegetables, but now my hives are out of control, have been taking Zyrtec twice a day + tylenol once in the morning and then benadryl at night and still the hives persist. I have to say I'm pretty miserable 😖 and hating my body 🙁😔, for putting me through this. I'm hoping it will get better, but for now I'm just angry and frustrated 😣😔🙁

When I quit gluten I got
Dermatitis herpetiformis for one whole year - I wonder if you could have that? Or could be if you are eating rice or corn .? Sometimes I get really itchy from gf bread and the local gf bakery bread does that to me. It’s a constant battle and struggle - good luck ! I need to give up sugar - already gave up gluten .. dairy.. soy ... white potatoes ...

I’m in the same boat or close to it as an agnostic. I think you can still have faith in yourself though even if you don’t believe in a higher power. I know for me I am in a flare right now and I hate it but I can see that I have been through this before and have faith in myself that I will get through it since I have before many times.
