So true that he enjoys seeing other musicians in his band thrive, rock. He has this look of amazement, like he is enjoying their show too. Tal is great, the drummer always. He always has great musicians in his band. It is like he is the maestro🎸🎸
I am shocked and sad to hear my favorite musician passed away. One of the first virtuosos that picked up the guitar. Godspeed Jeff Beck, your music will always be heard.
She's a monster on this performance. Absolutely locked in with Vinnie and vibing so hard. 3:26-3:45 is ridiculous. Unreal. She must be a wreck right now. I felt really bad for Tal because he put her on the map and he loved playing with her.
look at him... listen to him... he makes it look so easy... the man has paid his dues.. hes one of the best... gone to early... RIP JEFF we will miss you.. but will always love your music
My girlfriend came in and asked if I heard that Jeff Beck passed away and I went numb and I told her no ? She showed me on Instagram that he died at 78 yrs old. He will surely be missed and "May He Rest In Peace" 😣😞
I have been crying for weeks 😢 Still frustrated That I didn't have A CHANCE to see him live in free JAZZFUSION But mostley THE WHISTLING TONES, JEFF BECK PRODUCES BY USING FLAGEOLETS WITH SUPER HIGH HARMONICS THE DIFFICULTY WITH THAT TECHNIQUE IS THAT THOSE ULTRA HIGH FLAGEOLETS LOW AT THE NECK AROUND 2TH AND 5TH POSITION THEY ARE NOT LIKE YOU ARE USED TO EXACTLY AT THE 12/7/OR 5TH POSITION BUT THEY HAVE FEW MILLIMETERS OFF (AWAY) FROM THE FRET WHAT JEFF WAS MAKING WAS ABOVE MAGNIFICENT BECAUSE HE TURNED THE VOLUME TO 0 THAN PICKED A NOTE LETS SAY 2,8 MM FROM THE 3TH FRET EN OPEN HIS VOLUME EN ALWAYS SPOT ON ALRIGHT HE HAS A TREMOLO BUT AGAIN THAT'S ALSO BEEN THE RIDDLE OF MY LIFE AS FAR AS I COULD SEE HE WAS USING THE STANDARD TREMOLO FROM FENDER WHICH IS THE WORST THING I REALLY EVER LAID MY HANDS ON THE TREMOLO BAR OF FENDER ONCE USED YOUR ENTIRE GUITAR IS TOTALLY OUT OF TUNE
I watch this over and over, not just because of Jeff Beck, my guitar hero, but for the musicians like Vinnie Colaiuta on drums. Phenomenal musicians here!
You could tell he was always destined to be a STAR: Jeff fell in love with Rock and Roll as a child, and built his first guitar as a teenager. "The guy next door said, 'I'll build you a solid body guitar for five pounds", "Five pounds, which to me was 500 back then, so I went ahead and did it myself". "The first one I built was in 1956, because Elvis was out, and everything that you heard about pop music was guitar.". RIP Jeff. The "Great Gig In The Sky" will be so much the better for your contribution!!!!
Legendary on top of epic and everything in between. Words cannot describe the talent and influence he has had on so many levels of rock, jazz, blues, funk - all of it! I was blessed to see him live in my youth and walked away enligntened and have remained that way! Jamming Beck all day! Peace y'all...
Arguably, Jeff's most accessible work as a solo artist was on Blow By Blow...released in March, 1975 it was a smash hit in the USA, reaching #4 on Billboard's Hot 100 LP Chart.
I feel so lucky I saw Jeff Beck live in Berkeley at the Greek Theater. I don't remember the year. Probably late 1980's. I quickly realized being a guitar player myself that no one alive could play like him and he was genius. I know this to be true to this day. He is the Van Gogh the Beethoven the Mozart from this time. Without a doubt. RIP Sir Jeff
I saw him only once, in 2019. Vinnie on drums, Rhonda on bass, a cellist, and Captain Jack Sparrow. Also the Wet Willie singer for a couple of tunes. This four piece here though was an awesome band.
I'm always amazed at how Jeff can simulate tape speed manipulation with his fingers and guitar. No one else has ever done this to my knowledge. His instincts are of another level which he translates so fluidly to the guitar. I certainly enjoy his fusion jazz oriented stuff ( I saw him on The Wired Tour), but I love his rock and roll chops. It's as if anything is possible without limits.
I've been a JB fan for over 50 years. This is his band line-up ever. Jason is so awesome. Best live/studio keyboard Jeff has ever worked with. And he has worked with quite a few great keyboard players. I'm a fan of all of them.
What an amazing man and musician. He will never be equaled. The very best ever to play. His smile and respect for his fellows artists as they play is heart warming
formerly she played guitar; a shredder when she hit LA at age 15.. (so I read anyway..). she was advised to switch to bass because of there being so many shredders already. bass? she kills!
Extremely sad news.He was and always will be one of the greatest guitarists. His virtuosity, creativeness and innovation will never be matched. The world has lost a great person and musician. RIP Jeff, thanks for the unique music you produced and the memories!
I'm glad that I saw him perform once on a co-headlining bill with Stevie Ray Vaughan. He will be greatly missed. Love this band and Tal on bass is incredible.
Saw the same concert "the fire and the fury"..... I just can't believe that both of arguably the best guitar players to have ever lived have both passed away tragically and way to early in life... RIP Stevie Ray and Jeff Beck
Jeff was the master of the style of Beckology, Beckisym, Beckical, Beckiblia, Beckolla. All things Jeff Beck. Jeff created his own genera of modern music. Which we mere mortals shall never master. Because his technique, and artistry, can never be replicated.
We are indeed fortunate to be alive when Jeff Beck was. As with many here, I was around when we all first heard of him, Clapton, the Who, the Beatles, Stones, etc. And we are indeed fortunate to have a huge volume of his work to listen to, to watch on youtube until we die. There's Page, Beck, and Clapton, according to age - the big 3. I pray that Page and Clapton still have many years left and continue to play for us. God forbid, one day we will hear that Ringo and Macca have died. Ringo just turned 83 in July.
I miss Jeff so much. Still heartbroken. Selfishly thinking we'll never have another tour or album. This one really hurts. My heart goes out to Sandra and family and friends. Such a shock. Jeff was hands down my favorite of all time.
I saw Jeff Beck in 1975 at Detroit's Masonic Auditorium for his Blow by Blow tour. Opening act was the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Encore was Jeff Beck and John Mcglaughin playing together
424k views... i think I've watched it 400, 000 times on my own 🙂, what a terrific performance, Vinnie and Tal, what a band, she was only 22 when this was recorded.... Hearing how much the crowd loved it at the end is just awesome. I remember listening to Blow By Blow in my friend's basement when it was released. every song including Freeway Jam just blew our minds. Rest in peace.
The greats make it look so easy but there must be hours of practice. It would have been fascinating to see him as a young man first picking up the guitar and seeing how he developed into such a phenomenal player.
I was just thinking about how rare it is to see everyone on stage being of awesome capabilities - then I remembered that Jeff Beck was one of them - oh - never mind.
There is / was Jeff Beck and then every one else. So glad I saw him on his final tour with Johnny Depp. He was amazing as always. I had great seats so I could see his hands which is why Jeff Beck was so unique and innovative. JB never stopped growing as a player, he was always exploring and pushing boundaries. JB opened the show with "Freeway Jam" and the band and audience were off to the races together...
A master at his craft. Rest In Peace.

"WET WILLY" &"FREDDY KING"
Amazing How Beck worked !
and my Lord she is so good. God Bless Jeff.
@@susanphillips1495 Good is right !
He was a very generous player too, lets each person in the band shine. and then comes in with his parts and just blows the roof off the sucka.
That was his best trait, letting others shine.
That's true. He knew he had some of the best in the business and he let everyone know he made excellent choices for his band

How it should be done.
Prima di essere un musicista e' stato, come dicono gli inglesi, un vero gentlman
I am shocked and sad to hear my favorite musician passed away. One of the first virtuosos that picked up the guitar. Godspeed Jeff Beck, your music will always be heard.
My brother turned our family on to your music way back in the 60's to his passing. He is waiting for you in heaven.
One of his best bands. RIP Maestro.
One of rocks great instrumentals.
RIP JB, the music memories will live on.

BECAUSE HE TURNED THE VOLUME TO 0 THAN PICKED A NOTE LETS SAY 2,8 MM FROM THE 3TH FRET EN OPEN HIS VOLUME EN ALWAYS SPOT ON ALRIGHT HE HAS A TREMOLO

RIP Mr Beck. A master musician and inspiration to millions
When bass player Tal Wilkenfeld came here from Australia. She linked up with Jeff Beck at age 21. Good stuff. RIP Mister Beck.
Vinnie heard Tal and brought her to Jeff.
