But Eric being the child he is could never see past that. Eric actually got Paul Rogers to ask Jimmy to do the ARMS concerts, as the big draw was to have all 3, Jimmy, Jeff, Eric on stage together. Eric has always been pettty.

"Truth" was the first Jeff Beck album I heard aside from his work with the yardbirds, and it still gets me everytime. Rod Stewart's voice fit perfectly for the heavy blues influenced album, which surprised me because I knew him as the guy who sang "if you want my body and you think I'm sexy.. blah blah". Not my cup of tea, but he kills it on "Truth" and as far as Jeff, I don't think I ever heard him play a note that didn't come out exactly as he intended it to. And I was amazed at that version of the Indian song "Nadia" he did later on in his career. He did those whirling swirling Indian vocals with the guitar and it sounded beautiful.

I was literally 15 feet from JB the whole show, right in front of the impromptu stage. There was no barrier or security so we all just bellied right up to the stage. The only other time I've seen a guitar God up that close was Stevie Ray Vaughn in 1988 at the Tufts University Spring Concert in 1988, the best frickin show of my life.
