Going back through Beck's work in the wake of the news, this video came up first. In just this short bout he covered a lot of ground-supersonic shredded riffs, a couple of long sustained wails, a fuzzed-out muffled grind, choppy and tasteful arpeggios between solos-and yet he never overpowered Beth, a brilliant performer in her own right. Everybody shines here. Beck will shine forever now.
Beth got me listening to music again after years of depression and a life without music is just uninspiring and not a life. So a massive Thank you to her

I have been very fortunate to have seen Jeff Beck live in London, plus as seen Miss Beth in a show with the Hendricks experience. Both put on GREAT shows! Miss Beth's vocals hit me right in the soul. When I hear her it reminds me of when I was 10 growing up in Chicago and I snuck out of the house and went to see Muddy Waters play, my life was never the same.

Not looking forward to losing Santana or Gibbons either, but Beck's simply more original, more uncopiable, than any other guitarist, rolling the blues into hard rock and jazz and progressive rock. Unfortunately there's not much room in the industry today for players of his stature and uniqueness.

Sorry but from his Yardbird days when he took over Clapton’s lead chair, Jeff has NEVER been a “common blues cat” like say Eric. Their music changed dramatically when Beck took over lead duties.
He was the first to use feedback, distortion, & the wah-wah pedal on a major release. First to do "raga-rock" when the sitar player they brought in couldn't fit in. He may have been a typical blues cat at some point pre-1966, but not since.

Several, four, forces of nature on this stage. This really is something special
You ain't kidding. That whole jam, singer included, had a trippy vibrato/distortion thing 'going down'. Love Jeff and crew.
Who is the bass player
@@dansobczak8347 Tal Wilkenfeld, Australian
@@stobbinsboy Thanks Jeff. This really is one of the most amazing things I've ever heard. I wish I'd been there, it must have been unforgettable. I should have said five forces of nature by the way
@@dansobczak8347 Tal Wilkenfeld. Edit: just saw somebody else already said that!
God girl your vice is insane. What a thrill to be with Jeff, Tal and the rest. I can't imagine.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year Beth
Two masters together doing one of my favorite songs ever! It just don"t get no better than this. HOFA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great Jam, one of my all time favorite guitarists.
One of the most personal musicians to emerge from rock. JB is one of a kind.
Geweldig!

i am now addicted to this video...that haunting intro, then boom....
another thing is that his solos never ever sound cheesy they have a great quality to every note
Totally
You're right... I've never heard a flaw about it 🎶
I love Tal, Lizzie and Jeff playing together. Their Eric Clapton Crossroads Tour at Madison Square Garden is pure talent!!
Hi there.. how are you doing? Happy new year 🎈🎊 with good health and prosperity
Thanks to Jeff Beck I was introduced to the force of nature that is Beth Hart! RIP Jeff and rock on Beth
yo she has one of the most powerful voices I've ever heard.
Appart from being a guitar genius JB was the best in the music industry for discovering talent and giving opportunitites for musicians outside of the vast pool of old guys. RIP Jeff, much missed by so many.
I hardly gets any better than this interpretation. Love Jeffs tone and playing, miss him dearly, Tal nails it to the fullest and Beth Hart is a class of her own. Outstanding performance of all musicians.
I have always loved that album, even if it wasn't one of his most recognized. But, as always, he just keeps brilliantly evolving, and collaborating
