I don't always listen to Joe, but when i do, so do my neighbors. You're welcome.
Hahaha I had to put my AirPods in so I don’t disturb mine while they are working 😂
Hi im your neighbour. Id like to make a formal complaint in writing to you. My complaint? Crank that volume button up more!! 😂😂😂 cheers
I think I've felt my windows rattle in Kentucky.....was that you?
I'm 104 years old and Joe is the best bluesman I've heard in my life
It's 2024, I'm in Ethiopia and still enjoying this epic performance 👌The way Reese Wynans playing that piano is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
L do brother
That ain’t the first time that he’s seen a piano!!!
I love seeing these middle-aged musicians show these young folks how rock music was before “auto-tune” and engineered voice tracks took over.
The ATTITUDE with which he gives those licks should be illegal...
Too damn goooode
Damn Joe, I'm 69 years old, best version ever heard 😊😊😊😊😊
Don't forget the Jeff Beck 1972 rendition. 🎸
Agree❤
I'm an non-retired 70 year old drummer, sir. Rockin' performance at The Greek!
Yeah✌️
We absolutely need these guys to keep the blues going. Who else is going to do it. Great tribute to the great freddie king.
Just saw this 24 hours ago and haven't stopped playing it since!! OMG x infinity!!!!
U just can’t
Listening for the 10th time today. My house is super clean!
Absolutely the best Going Down I have ever seen or heard. Jeff Beck would be jealous.
Beck could be jealous, I reckon. Wasn't his song, though. Freddie King, 1971. Beck did a cover in 1972.
Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson did apretty good cover of this on one of the G3 albums
in my opinion, this is the best version
Dear Mr. Michael Rhodes,
As a professional bass player/bassist myself, I was thrilled by the opportunity to watch and hear you play on world stages within my lifetime and to study/learn your style of playing.... presently I am equally devastated to hear of your passing away today, but I'm assured of your special place in permanent musical archives and the limitless melodic afterlife. Safe journey brother!! 😢
Yes indeed.. I was shocked after I heard those news.. Michael is playing his awesome bass with other great late ones somewhere out there . and here with us forever through the music he played and left us... incredible brilliant real music this is
@@hemulik.8117 This has to be a blow to Joe B. Stunned....
I am pushing 60 myself. Our Heros are Crossing Jordan at a rapid pace. I seek Torch Bearers and have found a few to keep the Blues alive for future generations. Sad for sure but not downhearted. RIP my friend and thanks for the Magic.
@@hemulik.8117 I can only imagine that some band needed a bassist. Perhaps SRV and Jeff Beck with BB and Janis singing backup
@@vincentwhitley1119Not to worry, I'm a young guitarist in the start of his 20's and if I have kids they are definitely going to be listening to this while they're growing up
This is why Double Trouble was the most underrated band of their day and the fact that Joe has this cat playing with him is a tribute to just how phenomenal he truly is!!!!!! SWEET JESUS!!!!!!
Reese Wynan made the band the “band of the century”! The last video that I saw of Joe’s didn’t have any of the members that complimented who Joe was and what he wnated to express in his playing. I’ve got tickets for November, I just hope hw has that band including Reese! I may be disappointed if he doesn’t!! Joe, don’t mess with what ain’t broken!!!! Please!!!
I love and miss Stevie as any Blues fan does. He was awesome and the best Blues musicians in the world lined up for a chance to play with him...Joe is another who attracts only the best
@@vincentwhitley1119 Best Guitar player I saw live SRV. Just absolutely fantastic. Was a real tragedy when we lost him.
@@BunyanaRed1958 I was in college when he died.... My Roomie and I skipped class and stayed drunk for a week while playing only his music...
@@vincentwhitley1119 Think I should have done that at the time. I never get tired of hearing SRV. He was the real deal Vincent. Apparently he going to come and play with Eric at the RAH in the Winter of 1991 for The Blues nights . The really sad thing about it all was he was in a happy place in his life when he got killed. He was playing sublime, was going to get married again, and he was sober. Fate denied us the next step of his greatness.
Humility & swagger. Rare combination. Joe’s a beast.
Beautiful how he humbly steps in to his greatness
This is my favorite thing about Joe. He’s such a badass but seems like such a humble guy. You are correct, this is rare and what a treat to see.
I can't sing, I can't play guitar, I can't play drums, I can't play the piano, but there's one thing I absolutely know: this is too good.
Have you heard breaking p someone's home??? Oh my god man the solo is insane!!!
This is STEVIE'S SONG🎸
Too good is oxymoronic. This is fabulous. Historical. So good.
@@alesiaking5578 euh.... Freddy's song and freddy's dead...
ml
Oh. My word! We so need to keep the blues going.
🎯
If Joe dies, he's going by spontaneous combustion, and will burn blue.......
@lylewright9363 🔥💙
Love the combination of Chicago blues brass meeting raw Louisiana scratching guitar bending & Chattanooga honkey-tonking keyboarding, held together by bass & drumming second to none. Bravo!
Perfect description of this song !
Get it on the Hammond!
Totally
Innovative!
Freddy King is smiling in heaven. Best rendition I ever heard; makes me wonder if that isn't Freddy's original guitar. Smokin' Joe with another barn burner. Backup singers are amazing.
Damn! Anton Fig and Michael Rhodes were puttin' it down on this track! R.I.P Mr. Rhodes, man are you missed brother.
Didn’t know he passed. Great rhythm section sounds like they’re chasing Joe down lol.
Any bass player who is a serious student of their craft and its history knows that Michael Rhodes looms large in the pantheon of important and influential bassists. His passing was both untimely and saddening. Requeiscat in Pace you kind, humorous, and humble man.
One of the World’s Best! Member of The Players from Nashville and Muscle Shoals.
Absolutely, his body of work is amazing, one of those players that was universally loved in the business.

I have commented before, but every time i hear this, it gets better. Musicians n singers were feelin it. What a band. Joe, just AMAZING.
Ke banda x dios desde stgentins
Same. This plays in my head for several days every time 👍
This is incredible!
Joe is a class act. Monster chops. A great voice. And an overload of passion. 👍
Horn section is awesome, backup singers are superb.
Amen!
Hear, hear! No pun intended. Great to hear!
Those backup singers are smoking!
Man! That keyboard player is incredible! That man can play! He has what they call the touch! You either have it or not! He's damn sure got it!
He's had since before SRV and Double Trouble, was great then and he is awesome now. You can just feel the respect in the band, they are all one, all keeping the blues alive wonderfully💙👌👏👏👏👏👏🇬🇧😁

FABULOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!
The whole damn band killing it!!! Legendary performance!
This is the ultimate in blues rock
Huge thanks to you Joe for keeping the torch of the Blues burning. 🙏❤️🙏
This is not the blues by any definition.
He will be there into the future when greats like clapton are gone
@@wilcorrigan2970 you need your ears checked
@@wilcorrigan2970 It is. as long as you get the I IV V, it is.
@@JS-ee5gp You can't play the blues unless you were beat as a child, all of your girlfriends and wife left you for the same guy, and you lost your legs in a work accident. Otherwise, you can't "feel it".
The Blues. Love it. A dying genre and such a shame. We need guys like this to keep it where it belongs.
We need more men and women like this to keep it alive what an amazing guy legendary guitarist
OMG, the sheer amount of talent on that stage is unimaginable !
I've never smoked a cigarette in my life but I feel I need one every time I'm done watching this.
Oh, yeah, I know just what you mean !
The ultimate enjoyment only comes with a cigarette and a decent whiskey... and a beautiful woman... bet?
Hell yeah
LMAO
❤ Definitely panty dropping tunes!😉💯
As usual an extraordinary performance with an extraordinary guitar solo...I enjoy Joe's music any time., any moment of my life...In sad and joy moments..irrespectively..
It's kick ass rock music, young people. They actually played instruments and made their own sounds. No fake nonthin. Ask grandpa.
I don't think I've ever heard this one done any better!! Man, oh man, Joe is on fire here. And the rest of the band was too!! Love it, love it, love it!!!
Love it also best I've ever heard!
I'm Jeff P although NOT in this realm.Saw Joe in Red Rocks August 7,2021.He ROCKED....
The original is the best version. Every other is super watered down like this. I don't even know wtf this is.
Abso-you know what lutely!!
@@williep1626 you got it bro! I saw Jeff Beck introduce his new lead singer, Rod Stewart, do this in November 1968 at Thee Image in Miami Beach, cost $2.50! I was 16
I’m smiling, everyone on stage is smiling. Perfect!!!
At 72 years old he has just rocked my ASS off!!
Awesome version of the song. His band is amazing. What an outstanding ensemble.
Im not crazy over Bonamassa but this
had changed me.
He's not just a guitar virtuoso. He is a serious student of The Blues.
One of the most rip-roaring passionate 🎸 performances I've ever seen on stage.💥 Joe is the *BEST!*
And Reese on the piano. Just *WOW!* ❤
Absolutely everybody is great! The whole fabulous thing!

I never listened to the blues, but now I am hooked for ever because of this man! He is a mad genius with his guitar.

Welcome to the blues.......and Joe has brought a lot of the old blues songs back with his style.
How ever you get there to find and enjoy the music... enjoy! Still Joe is standing on the shoulders of countless others as is the way it always is.
Go down the Stevie Ray Vaughan rabbit hole!
Joe and his group are professionals of the highest level. You can listen to them indefinitely. Bravo!
Great rendition..
Back then. Now its garbage
All he does is sing everybody else's songs that have already been made famous
@@daleemrick9816 In modern rock music, there are already a huge number of works whose authors are either dead or have stopped performing due to their age. What's wrong with someone performing these works?
After all, musicians play works by Bach, Mozart, and this does not surprise anyone. In addition, Bonamassa performs his own songs too.
Great cover.
I still like the original better
GREAT FREDDIE KING.....
Must turn volume up to 10 decibels above airport level to REALLY appreciate. Hands down ,the BEST version of this song. And, what an intro! My earbuds are smoking.
Thanks to you, the addiction continues. I thought I was in rehab until I saw your post!

What an awesome rendition of a classic, complete with an exceptional horn section, alluring backup singers, and Joe B’s and co. top tier musicianship.

Best backup singers in the biz
I play this Video at least twice a week - Brings me to tears
That keyboardist is a beast! Phenomenal on the keys, and even switching between the hammond and piano during the keys solo!
That's Reese Wynens...back in the 80's he was part of Double Trouble who played with Stevie Ray Vaughan. Reese on keyboards, Tommy Shannon on bass and Chris Layton on drums. Chris is currently the drummer for Kenny Wayne Sheppard.
@@angelmeyers1455 He is an absolute mega talent -- just look up an SRV Video!
@@michaelellis7787 I have watched every SRV video out there and many, many of them multiple times...I graduated High School in 1985 and even saw SRV and Double Trouble in 1986 at Mohawk Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma when they where touring with Huey Lewis and The News. I am grateful for all the video and audio Stevie left us but at the same time it leaves me very sad he left so soon.
Reese

A lot of people don't know this.
He's taking over the world slowly and we are powerless, wonderful isn't it👌💙🎸🌏🇬🇧
Joe's on fire as usual the band is grooving. How about a hand for Reese Wynans on the keys.
Love that pianist!!!
Is that Anton On the drums?

That's Reese? Damn, I didn't recognize him.
Nothing but class😊
I'm sure Jeff Beck would love this ❤!😊 Joe & Reese got this 💃
Great stuff. wonderful interpretation of a classic
"Mister Blues Bonamassa"....sensationell...!
The fact that Joe has three backup singers that dance like that is just another testament to how incredibly badass he truly is. The guitarwork in this song is exceptional, and the coolest thing is that he's using standard blues licks, but he makes it all unmistakably "his"...that riff at 2:12 is freaking smoking!!! I love me some Kenny Wayne, and I loves me some Johnny Lang, but I'm gonna have to say that Joe is the baddest bluesman on planet Earth currently. The old Blues legends would be proud of this performance, I'm sure of it. Keep up the good work, Joe!!
I agree, amazing.
the ladies sure be shakin' it up !
Good Aussie talent - Mahalia Barnes, Jade MacRae, Juanita Tippins. Mahalia's father Jimmy is an Australian legend first as lead singer of Cold Chisel and then in a solo career that has spanned several decades. He has also recorded Lazy (Deep Purple) and Stone Cold (original) with Joe. Check him out.
Opened for BB king in 1989 at the age of 12 - yeah he's pretty good;)
Lol if you have a dancing backup singers that means you are incredibly badass?
He’s at his best when he’s got the whole band rockin with him.
The entire band's performance is OFF THE CHARTS!
Go Joe! Thanks for your service.
Seeing this guy keep putting on better and better shows always makes me think of how good would a Stevie show be right now. Absolutely sucks he’s gone.
I know. Could you imagine?
No whammy bar. No crazy effects. Just a guitar, and pure talent.
I like the Jeff Beck version, he is really going for it without reserve.
@Jerome Lenovo Freddie King didn't write the song. Don Nix wrote it in the late sixties for a band he was producing, Moloch.
@@Mark70609 Joe channels Jeff's version at 5:07 here.

What an exciting rendition by Joe and the band! *_GREAT_* performance!
And seeing Michael Rhodes on stage with Joe makes me both happy and sad at the same time.
Very sad that he passed this past March, but so happy to see and hear the joy he brought to all of us. ❤ RIP Michael.
"Reese Wynans everybody, Reese Wynans...." - Stevie Ray Vaughan
And with SRV, Wynans had to play lot of songs in Eb key, much more difficult (pardon my english)

I don't mean to sound shallow but I am absolutely in love with the curly haired girl in the middle! Oh, yeah, the rest of the band is pretty ass kickin' as well.
The Beautiful Jade MacRae, I saw her 1st!
Quite, quite wonderful. Thank you.
Joe's tearing up the guitar, ..but the volume of power coming from that rhythm section is impressive too!

Most of THE GREATS, are no longer with us. Sad, but true. To see Joe keeping the blues legend going, is inspirational. Great to see awesome musicians doing what 'true' musicians do best. During challenging times, this is just the tonic!
There’s a handful of performances on RUclips that knock my damn socks off every time I see it and this is definitely one of them. Reese Wynans my god.
Most folks have no idea......a lot of musical talent came out of the upstate and central NY area. I use to love to play with the local talent when I was back home.....great love of music. JB was a Utica boy .......
Top-flight musicianship all around. Too good. ;)
The Freddie King version is the gold standard of this tune but this is an absolutely killer version as well! Way to go Joe!!
I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Beck do this song together when they were on tour together.
Clapton & Winwood have a good version on line too!

I listen to this mega toe-tapper at least once each week. Usually to get a glimpse of Jade McCrae dancing. (Sigh...). I used to fast forward through Reese Wynan's intro, but I've come to appreciate his keyboard mastery as much as Joe's blistering gui-tar work. This might be the best produced song I've ever enjoyed !
